Author and photographer Jacqueline Thurston accessed tombs, some of which have rarely been seen to document the lives of Egyptian Deities. The text is as fascinating as the photographs. I am looking at the comments and am just perplexed.
Watching people argue over skin color of an ancient human empire is one of the saddest things I've seen.
Ancient Egypt is a part of HUMAN history. Human history belongs to ALL of us.
Admittedly some histories affect us more personally and directly but it is still OUR history!

No, it's disrespectful. No other culture is represented more inaccurately than Ancient Egypt. You will never see a historical documentary about Greece using Chinese actors or a documentary about Mayans using white actors. That type of disrespect is only reserved for black history.

Shishak, King of Egypt, being the first of the 22nd dynasty (1 Kgs. 11:40; 14:25-26; 2 Chr. 12:2-9). A pictorial representation of his victory over Rehoboam has been discovered on the wall of the temple of Karnak.
"And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem: And he took away the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king’s house; he even took away all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made." - 1 Kings 14:25-26
"And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of king Rehoboam Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the Lord, With twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen: and the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt; the Lubims, the Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians. And he took the fenced cities which pertained to Judah, and came to Jerusalem. Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the Lord, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak. Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The Lord is righteous. And when the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak. Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries. So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king’s house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made." - 2 Chronicles 12:2-9

In view of the 22 century, in ancient scales, you talk about modern times here. look at Nehmes Bastet She was Temple singer, and She wear the wax hat. this describes another Story and is far far away from religion. it goes back to the story of "Priestesses of the Bee" Nymphes or Witches this would be the question there.
