Oh no! You took out originals , of course it's your guitar but on such old nice guitars i would live those in. Plus i love MIJ Yamaki pickups, at least keep them. i'm saying this as well exprianced pickup winder...Anyhow enjoy in your axe i hope you've kept it.
Haha yeah I kept the originals they are made by Ibanez. I still have the guitar it's on loan to the singer / rhythm guitarist in my band. He loves it. Picked it over a USA Fender Strat Plus
Dude, if you want Peter Green tone, add a pinch of sage to the turmeric. ;-) It's funny though because there's been a bit of a craze recently in the retro home computer world to leave your Amiga (or whatever) out in the sun to get rid of the yellowing! Yeah, I have a '79 Les Paul that I love. The T-Top pickups, less so though. I also replaced the original pickups in my lovely 70's Kimbara (Strat copy) with Tonerider Classic Blues, which I'm very happy with.
Ah yes, tone spice! Amazing. Those ToneRider pickups sound really good and they're about a third of the price of big name pickups. A '79 Les Paul? Wow you should post up a vid!
@@000Angus000 Ah mate that was awesome. Love the tone and swing! Nicely recorded too. I can't be arsed recording a separate audio and video track and compositing them so I'm looking into a cheap self powered condenser but they all seem shite! What did you do to record that clip so well?
@@hydorah No I just used a backing track played on my pc speakers (behind me on the window ledge) while I played through the amp at fairly low volume. I let the camera sort out the balance. :-) The louder I play, the shakier my timing seems to get, I'm still working on that. But the the Vintage Modern can work pretty well as a practice amp. .....when it isn't sat in a shop awaiting repair, with "Local Guy"! :-)
@@000Angus000 Bloody incredible sounds really nice. On my clips the acoustic string noise is as loud as the amped signal so I have to change something! I just can't be arsed with too much time on audio production for a TH-cam vid unless it's an actual performance, but luckily my camera has an ext mic input. I've bought a cheap self powered stereo condenser mic.. Will hopefully be able to stick that in front of the amps

@@hydorah Now you've done it! I have changed the curtains since then, but my playing is just as rough. :-)
