Have you ever installed a direct set window? We are pretty excited about this beauty! Happy we hired it out because that window is heavy! Also very excited to have framed our first wall! Many more to come! Hope you enjoy this video! 😊
We are watching as close as we can to learn as much as we can from you . Thank you for sharing . We have little to no snow as of late December . Merry Christmas
The guys did a great job on the window. There are a lot of cool features on this build, and this big window is near the top. The front door looks great too. Good choices all around.
Looking good. Doors and windows make a big differance. Glad to see the progress you are making. Soon you will be able to have it comfortable to work inside Thanks for bringing us along
Soon you will have all the doors and windows installed so you could run some heaters and be more comfortable when you install the interior walls. Blessings to you folks.
A great job on the giant window. In years gone by we I stalled 8' 6" x 10' windows as partitions in a bank in Rock Valley, Iowa. Good job on the framing. It looks sturdy and well built. I'm looking forward to the rest.
So much to love. 1. You visitors, think 5. They are beautiful. 2. The awesome team that carried the direct set window. Lots of strong backs required. 3. All the detailed planning and execution (framing) that has taken place so everything fit. What great events (Christmas and New years) and windows and doors arriving with several installed. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👊👊👊👊👊
Great video, especially enjoyed watch the installation of the large direct set window. The skill of the Selkirk crew was impressive. Your home is coming together nicely!
Howdy y’all- I’ve set windows like that before and they can be some kind of heavy! Quite obvious that ain’t their first rodeo. Doors look really nice. Hope y’all had a good Christmas. Wishing you the very best in the coming year. God bless
Great job guy's I've watched many steps along the way since you were pulling stump:) But a little everyday it's coming together nice , That is one big window ! Door looks awesome 👍, Very nice Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year !
With your internal wall framing, when you cut around the girts don't make them a tight fit, leave room for movement. Based on the size of your building with so much internal wood, it will move from season to season, when it does you can guarantee that something will crack, split or break if you build is very tight. That's why the Zip System recommend an 1/8 gap on the short side and they have the built in gap on the long side. Love your work are you going to ship-lap, tongue and grove or Sheetrock your internal walls?
Great job, been following you since the beginning. Looking great. What size timbers you use for the main post and beam structure? Looks great keep up the good work. 👍🏽
