    Stove specs:
    Flue size 6cm,
    Weight 12Kg,
    Dimensions: depth 45cn, height with chimney 2.4 meters,
    height of cooking surface 50cm,

    There are not many things being as satisfactory as coming to a cold place, lighting a fire, feeling it gradualy heating up and fill the air with a fragrance of cooking something nice and tasty.
    Listening to the sound of wind or splattering of rain while doing all of the above is even better. Therefore looking forward to the next video, and wish you a pleasant trip :)
    Stay save, warm and well fed 🏕️🔥🥩

    Such a pleasure to see you and Elsa out again. Happy you had comfortable February temperatures. The partridge looked fantastic, as did the veg. I grew up being occasionally treated to quail, duck, pheasant and cottontail rabbits by a hunting father and grandfather. I’ve bought caged rabbit and quail meat since, but the flavor is nothing like those delicious memories of wildness. You made me very nostalgic. 😊
    You and Paul Bisseker are among my top 5 TH-camrs. You introduced me to Trangia cooking and then Paul showed me how to prepare gourmet curries in it! I’m very grateful to you both for all the hours of pleasure you’ve given me. Thank you!

    all through february here in central washington state, it was atrocious weather. January was great, but my honey bees almost didn't make it. Their cleansing flights were still in the snow. I really love your southern fiddle violin music. I am from the south.

    • @WiltshireMan
      @WiltshireMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad your bee's survived. Many years ago my brother and I kept them. We had 40 colonies in a mixture of Modified Dadant and British commercial hives.

      @@WiltshireMan my bees had run out of honey, while still bad weather, and not having pollen patties, I put two frames of honey in to tide them over. Worked well, so when pollen and nectar flowed they had produced so many bees, I had to smoke them & add 3 supers over a week or two to keep them from swarming. My neighbor lady came out and yelled that I had a clump of bees on my back. They were swarming, and I had to put the queen back in for a while, because I went through the colony and never found one single queen cell. I would have split them had I found some queen cells. Maybe now. Don't want to bother them too much, might hurt their feelings.

    What a wonderful camp that you have set up there in those beautiful woods. I would say that if you have been using that stove for 6 or 7 years and you are at least somewhat happy with it, then you made a very good purchase with that. And the bonus is that you expect it to last for years longer so that makes it a pretty wise choice as far as I am concerned. Thanks for sharing your relaxing outing with us my friend. Something no one talks about I find these little stoves work good for 2 days then smoke you out careful that little smoke stack is under rated. You will have to clean it pretty much every day or so. Maybe increase the stack size by 1" so you don't have to do this every day but once in a while?? Any build up of creosote and they will smoke you out i know because i woke up to a room full of smoke they cannot handle very much build up so be careful. I assume this for all these little stoves will be the same so next time i use my little stove i will have a coupling that at the start of the smoke stack it will be increased by 1" see how that goes hopefully I will feel safer and wake up in the morning 🙂

      No squatters there, they would not be tolerated for long as the land is private property and the woodland is well off the beaten track.

    Gréât vidéo. I do have trouble with my stove after two days burning in very cold weather, the pipe clogs with creosote. I did a mod to my stove but I did not fully test it burning for 4 days straight. I do like the stove overall. Thanks and take care.

      Hi Quinn, Yes it will clog where the pipe goes coldest as you say due to creosote condensation. The hard woods I burn produce less creosote though so not much of a problem, but it's easy every couple of days just to break the stove pipes apart and rattle a stick down them:)

    Thank you Sandy, that was a very in-depth film on the stove. I’ve been interested in buying one for a while and was hoping to get one this winter (not looking like it now) . Cheers for the cotton pad fire lighter tip for when I do get one. Here’s looking forward to the overnighter film next week from you 👍 thanks, Ant.
