I've the same stove already for about a year now and I'm very satisfied with it. You'll see: In your tent that stove is amazing and sitting next to it having a brew and a steak is one of the nicest things to enjoy. Try to keep a steel or cast iron skillet with you. That's the best way to cook on it. I'm totally keen on your camping video with it!
I use a $20 Tefal pan on my titanium Pomoly packable tent stove. Nothing beats having a true non-stick surface that doesn't need scrubbing when you're out on the trail..
Cheers i bought one of these and its a really well made bit of kit. It whacks off heat really fast. Heavy but packs away easy and is really pretty in our bell tent.
I've really been contemplating wether to invest in one of these live in the UK and I have a trailer tent, I've always used an electric blow heater so that means I'm obliged too always have an electric hookup in the colder months however I'm trying to get away from this kind of camping and go to more remote locations and therefore do without our dependency on electricity for heating. I never miss any of you're videos I find them very interesting well done and thanks for sharing you're experiences with us, see you soon.
Another cracking video mate. That looks like a really great stove, and bet it's toasty in the Onetigris at the weekend. PS, didn't know we were from the same neck of the woods, I was born in St Lukes Hospital 65 years ago!!
Dan, what a lovely stove. I know you have been waiting for it and I am happy for you. What is wrong with setting up in your garden if you have the space. for some of us it is all we have but no matter it is useful to test the gear before you get out in the rain and find it fails. I test everything in my garden but it is all we have :)
I dont recommend you open the top and put the kettle like that. You run a serious risk of setting the tent on fire with sparks coming out the hole. Just cook on the top your kettle will boil quick enough. All the best to your hot tent. Cheers
Nice vid Buddy. I am looking at replacing my Frontier Stove. I will probably get one of these for out and about for the day and also the larger version with the built in oven to stay at home, for outside cooking. I like the glass so you can see everything and the door air vent, without having the door open a notch, as you do with the Frontier Stove and also the Frontier Stove eats wood.
Come on Phil meet me down the Queen Vic for a wild camp on the waste ground behind the launderette! Don't worry I won't tell anyone you killed Arthur Fowler with one of your Bushbox XL meals!
Just got this and looked on TH-cam to see the best way to set it up, glad I found your channel as i wouldn't have burnt it for 2 hours lol, you also seem like a top bloke. All the best with your channel.
great review mate, and if someone cannot wait 13 minutes for a kettle to boil. . well . they are not a tea drinker..ATVB cant wait to see it in the one tigris,, thanks for sharing.
Now yet talking winter camping my Lad. Take some BBQ brickettes to add to wood. No need to take lid off Put frying pan on top for perfect Black Pudding eggs bacon sausages mushrooms fried bread. God I'm hungry .
The stove looks great lad, look forward to seeing it in use in tent on outing with Oscar Outdoors. Wouldn't worry too much about boil time of kettle, just let it do its thing while you "chill" in front of the warm stove. All the best👍
Good video mate, looks a great stove, don't think you need to take the plate off to boil or cook anything !ook forward to see you camping with it, your videos are getting better all the time thanks for sharing 👍
Looks good. I thaught it looked wider than 10 inches so it is useful info to measure because it is hard to judge size on camera. I want one. Hope they are not too expensive
Cracking bit of kit mate enjoy I have a folding lightweight fishing trolly to carry my frontier stove ,love the look of your outbacker stove enjoy mate.⛺🔥🏕
I think it would be worth testing to see if removing the top plate has any effect on the boil time of the kettle. I doubt it would reduce it much, but it does open up other options.
Great job as always. Just be aware, it will rust. Mine got wet with overnight rain getting in through the arm hole of my lavvu. Also, be safe and get a carbon monoxide alarm. And use a steel tent peg if you want to remove the grill disk. Hottest area for boiling water is near to the chimney. Looking forward to seeing you use it with the tent ! Take care for now.
Hi you should get some black heat spray to.sort out the rust I've got the stove plus the water heater and I got the Gstove nature view 2 man hot tent and all be heading our Tuesday morning till Thursday morning for my first time using all the equipment and it's going to be proper cold in wicklow mountains Ireland Enjoy your stove 🤟☮
Great video.... You should get yourself some welding gloves. Means you can take that cover off the top of your stove and load wood into the fire, even rearranging burning coals with them....
If you do happen to put your wet socks up to dry, put them on the furthest away bar. I did this on my mates one when I got wet feet and my sock went crispy and burnt. Dried quickly but crispy,so keep an eye on them lol
I think if you would close the air input to almost closed and the chimney damper plate to almost closed. The water would probably boil quicker as the flame/heat wouldn't be drawn so quickly to the rear and up the chimney.
Genuine question reckon you could have this inside a campervan? Obviously so the chimney was going outside and perhaps some fire seal around the door and glass?? Cheers
Cracking 👍🏻 Just be careful with having lid off, sparks ⚡️ not good for 1 Tigris Iron Wall Hot Tent ⛺️ Looking forward to seeing you sweat your knackers off. 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
And if you look you can get an added extra to this stove it’s a kettle that attaches to the chimney and sits at the back of the stove Leaving you space to use the front to cook on
I purchased a tipi and the fire i purchased is v similar i bought a fire mat for floor is it safe to use it comes with stove jack for tent hold im new to this also fire has 6 flues at i think 36cm each i could be wrong
Phil Mitchel how rude are they saying that you look nothing like him, you look more like Matt Lucas daffyd in little Britain.lol. Sorry I could not resist. You will need a wheelbarrow to take all your gear soon, or a fishing trolly
Hello, firebox looks great but what I’ve noticed about some of theses stoves, some are poor quality in the making but yours looks to be a nice finish on it. Where did you buy yours from if you can let me know.

I would be more worry about CO poisoning than sparks...inside the tent.
Why does it have the option to remove if it's dangerous?
Great looking stove, will be nice and toasty in the tent!
Great little stove dan have fun on the trip

Did you find the flue is loose fitting until it gets hot and expands as that's what I've found
