One small thing you forgot to mention is that every finger is basically half a note. So you said you first string is a G, the lower you go the higher it gets, so Zero fingers is a G, 1 finger G#, 2 fingers is an A, 3 A#, 4, B, etc etc. This way you can easily make tabs for your self. 0101, 234, 0101, 4321. Thats easier than notes because you can apply it to any key. Great video though
I find practicing scales with a melodica, or guitar or other instrument (with fixed pitches) to be helpful for hearing how each note should sound when I play it. The spacing of each whole tone is not equal. It is good to have an sense of how the scale sounds when played if there are not frets or keys to make it obvious. I always have a 12note pitch pipe handy if I’m not sure if an interval.
Hello Salmiakki Sipsi, I know there are 2 builders with starter budgets.
If you're looking for a bass tagelharpa, I got one from Moon Cross Shop and it sounds lovely and epic. You should, however, check if it's possible to do business with Moon Cross shop. It's located in Belarus, due to the war there might be issues with getting one. The other one is Tagelharpa Lair from Hungary. He makes many sizes and has a bigger variety in design. For high quality/prices I have no address yet. You should join some tagelharpa social media groups and ask around. One of them on Facebook is "Tagelharpa (och andra stråkharpor) Talharpa and other bowed harps". It has many members and some artists are in this group. Like Maria Franz and Kati Rán. I'm about to build my first tagelharpa. I'm now working on the first prototype. If everything goes according to plan, I'll probably have some for sale in two years.
