    Thank you for making this video it's so helpful. There's really not a lot of information out there, that I can find, for total beginners. I bought a second hand jouhikko and strung it up, but I have no idea what I'm doing! I play a little piano and I just needed more of an understanding of the scales and how to position the instrument. Thank you!

    what strings do you use? I can't modulate the notes on mine with a nice harmonic sound like yours, because as soon as I touch them with my fingers the sound muffles! I think it's a problem of unsuitable strings!

    Great video!! Thank you for your explenation!
    May I ask you, which tones have you tuned on your strings?

    • @liuterialimandri7122
      @liuterialimandri7122  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks you!!! One of my favourite tuning is E4 B3 E3 A2, but also E B E B, or EBEE. There are plenty of tuning that you can use for your bowed lyre. ADA, DAD, BEA, EAD... Really many, look for tradizional tuning from Sweden and Finland, as well search for Rauno Nieminen, Anders Norudde, lassi logren and Ilkka ekkoinen. Tuning you can use depend mostly on string thickness, string lenght (diapason), and material of the string (as well bridge height)

    I love the tone on your tagelharpa, are you using violin strings? Mine are horsehair and not very good

    • @liuterialimandri7122
      @liuterialimandri7122  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Horsehair strings are not always simple to make, and don't have so much volume in my experience, but I love the sound. In this instrument I've used viola strings, the string lenght is 370mm

    I'm trying to switch from guitar, but I learned strumming with right hand, chords with left (I'm left handed so the finger dexterity was easy), your bow is left and fingering is right, does that mean I have to relearn or can I string backwards for left?

      Y foe my very late reply, I missed the comment. If you are left handed, best thing to do is to buy a left-handed bowed lyre. This would make everythink much easier for you :)
