I love Del's face after Rodney saids I haven't got a brother🤣
What Liam and Noel Gallagher say about each other
And I love the studio audience's reaction.
@@killboggins I also like the guy who laughs really loud after the hold music.

Without doubt the greatest comedy show ever written and acted every episode had my guts aching from laughter
Totally agree, greatest comedy ever. But not every episode has guts aching from laughing. Lol. And I have seen every episode hundreds of times. Some of grandads series 1 were not as good but I forgive them 😍😍 I know the words to jolly boys outing every scene is just fantastic. 💞
It was very much of its time.
@@debbie1060 oh my god i have ti disagree there GRANDAD was quality and series 1 was the best
Well said 👍
Yep defo the great show ever
"What do you mean, hes applying to assist himself!?" Always makes me laugh that line.
Love Del’s expression!
Yeah, what's the bad news?
Uncle Albert kills me
"No, I haven't got a brother" 😅😂😅😅🤣🤣
🤨🤨
John Sullivan, the greatest comedy script writer ever. Superbly acted by all
I’ve watched plenty other comedies that were as good if not better.
This wasn’t John Sullivan’s writing he died before this episode
Great
@@bakess9332 this episode is from 1996, John died in 2011.
@@michaelwalsh9145 name some please 👍🏻
Raquel's facial expressions are priceless when Dell's on the phone.
It’s the little bits like saying bonjour etc that makes this programme the best ever comedy written
Mange tout i agree
If only the whole phone call was included. Del saying "It's his dippy younger brother that's the problem" always has me crying 😂
"Your job will be to take all this crap down to the market, and you sell it from a suitcase". 😂🤣
"I think you're just the man that we've been looking for, Mr Trotter. *in normal voice* 'Cos we're always on the look out for dirty little plonkers like you." 😂😂
100% agree. I don’t get why they didn’t post the whole sketch 🤷♂ oh well, I can always watch the DVD’s 😉
Rodney: "I don't believe this! The one job in the paper I really fancied and it's mine."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rodney: So what’s going on then? You were gonna find someone else and get rid of me?
Rodney: 'well, I'm good with computers'
Albert: you ain't ever got one to work tho 😂😂
I love only fools & horses, nothing can beat this comedy ever
Only fools and horses compare comedies
Plenty more comedies that were as good if not equal.
@@michaelwalsh9145 can you name them please?
@@tyesoncollins331 I can name a few for you to chew on as I haven’t all day to be typing names of comedies. Last of the summer wine, Seinfeld, Taxi, mind your language, some mothers do av em, Cheers, faulty towers. Plenty more but they are just the ones that come to mind.
@Boxing Bot is that the only one that you could not pick? If you don’t think it’s a comedy what do you think it is then?
The magic of John Sullivan brilliant writer
The guy was a genius with his scripts.
Delboy’s bedroom decor is terrifying lol
You honestly don’t get comedy like this anymore. So cleverly written with the perfect cast.

@@davidholgate123Ghosts was great too.
Personally, only fools and horses by the point in mid 90s was well last it’s peak
Only fools is one of a very select few comedies I can sit, watch every last one and just start again. Pure comedic genius 🤣😇
This has got to be one of my most favourite only fools moments ever, I can watch it time and again and still laugh all the way through 🤣
Del Boy putting on a Welsh accent 😂😂😂
For a second there I thought you said you loved me 😂
Genius writing. Epic comedy. Albert’s delivery was spot on.
I love hearing the audience at the I haven't gotta brother line. "Ooooh"
Old Shep being the hold music is amazing.
I only just realised that after all this time, brilliant
I grew up watching only fools and horses, open all hours, porridge and the all the rest of the classic sitcoms wit my grandparents some of mine best memories
Ofah was a staple in our house when i was younger, loved watching it with my parents who are both long gone. The christmas specials were a highlight and i wish we could go back to such happier times

🤣🤣🤣
Cant really believe its 25 years since Heroes & Villains, Modern Men and Time On Our Hands aired over Christmas, wonderful TV.

There are SO many utterly brilliant comedic moments in OFAH, but I honestly think this may be my favorite. No matter how many times I watch it, it never fails to make me laugh until my stomach hurts. Pure genius - both the writing and the acting. 👏
I love the nod to the older episodes when "Old Shep" started playing on the phone, great moment!
"I don't believe it, the only Job I really like, and it's mine"!!!!!
I’m surprised Del forgave him so quickly when he said “No…. I haven’t got a brother”.
Technically, Del is his half-brother.
@@seanscanlon9067 true! I forgot about that. Rodney’s father was ‘a band’! 😆
@@seanscanlon9067 my mistake. It was Freddie the Frog!
They are both poor, both want to be successful both trying to be successful but their business antics and attempts to get rich are simply embarrassing. Both Del and Rodney know that neither of them have an impressive resume and Rodney only said he didn't have a brother because he wouldn't want any employer to know he spent most of his life flogging tat out of a little yellow van at the market, not because he doesn't love him.
There were lots and lots of great episodes with only fools and horses Comedy at its best l could watch them over and over again 😂
hes applying to assist himself LOL
Playing Old Shep as a call waiting tune, pure classic!
I always thought that the Batman and Robin was my favourite scene but this is now my favourite. "For a minute then I thought you said you loved me" Absolute classic. Shame the full clip isn't shown.
A great classic to watch especially to watch on Xmas every year also hope everybody has a good Xmas tomorrow and a happy new year.
Was a great Christmas.
Hope yours was as well.
And happy new year to you too
@@JackDManheim Mine was brilliant
Happy new year!
Mine was crap
@@recall2880 How was it bad?
That's a decent Welsh accent! Most people can't do it but David Jason pretty much nailed that.
I spent six years in and around Wales when I was growing up and picked up the accent, moved hundreds of miles away back home and lost the accent, now I can't put it on to save my life but when I (rarely) get angry or pissed-off I start speaking in a really strong Welsh accent, that usually makes people piss themselves laughing and it diffuses the situation. lol 🍻
When most people attempt a welsh accent it comes out sounding Indian.
to be fair his long term partner was welsh so he prob picked it up lol.
Welsh people are pretty good at it
I had no idea that was a Welsh accent lol
One of my favourite scenes ever 😂
They left out the best bit where Rodney tells the 'marketing manager' that he loves him 😂
OFAH got better and better as the characters matured through its life. This clip says it all. The writing is beyond magnificent, JS was a one off. And the addition of Raquel - utter genius!
OFAH makes Xmas for me, grew up with this...born in 83 this reminds me being with all the family on Xmas evening for the special! Merry Xmas everyone ❤
0:12-0:16 Love the way Rodney’s face changes!
“That is the bad news, dopey!”
When Raquel started singing old shep Rodney had flashbacks to when del wanted it sung in the nag heads in diamonds are for heather 😂
Don't want to make anybody feel old but Nick Lyndhurst is now only 5 years younger than Grandad was when the show started.
Daaaaaaaamn.
Thought he was the same age
Well Cheers for the midlife crisis bud 😂

I've had the same broom for years, it's had 2 new heads and 8 new handles
How can it be the same bloody broom then!
BBC would never make a show as good this these days. Such a shame.
Nobody would, vast majority of our generation wouldn't have the attention span for it nor relate which is an awful indictment
@@balsham137 imagine trying to write a decent script nowadays?! You would have to be altering it every other sentence in case it offends any delicate souls, a nightmare.
@@Eleventhearlofmars you couldn't even paraphrase the cuntin thing. But it was the intelligence of the writing in older comedies. Just a reflection of society I suppose. People can barely talk to eachother these days let alone be funny
Ghosts is pretty great.
eve4rything about this scene is just raw comedy gold... ive seen this a million times and it still makes me laugh everytime XD
Why cut it off there?
Literally my thoughts, missed the whole thing
I swear Raquel is genuinly laughing during this.
Love the Welsh ascent 🏴👍 boyo
I was part of the team that produced this great show. We had such a laugh all the way. It was brilliant. So proud of people embracing it. And so proud of the team.
This is so funny ..it never goes out of date.. love it..
The writing on this show was absolutely superb...fantastic show.
"Treacherous little GIT"

That made me laugh🤣 when Rodney said he didn't have a brother when he spoke to the man on the phone unaware he was talking to he own brother del Boy.

Wonderful, great memories watching with mam and grandad x
Brilliant classic. One of the best lines I ever heard in only fools was’Clint, we need a bigger boat’ fantastic show.
Mongo like candy. Uhuh huh huh
Who’s Clint?!
When was the line “Clint, we need a bigger boat” ever mentioned in OFAH?? 🤔 and, as Northwesternmonkey asked, who is Clint??
I think that’s the first time someone has mixed up a famous line from Jaws and thinking it was from OFAH!! 😂🤣. If that is the case then it’s Quint not Clint and also it’s just “we’re gonna need a bigger boat”
Taken me until today to realise the holding music was 'old shep'
I wanted to see the rest of the phone call!
The scene gets better and better. "Yes, I can ride a bike".
For a second there I thought you said you loved me 🤣
SIMPLY THEE GREATEST SHOW ON TV.....EVER
I loved when del Boy did the Welsh accent on the telephone he face when Rodney said he didn't have a brother .🤣
That never gets old 😀
Dang! Albert insulting Rodney is the sassiest I’ve ever seen him.
“I’m experienced with computers.”
Yah, but you never got one to work yet, have you?”
XD
The only thing missing is when they look at each other on the couch.... Awesome stuff
I like how they play “old shep” as the hold music which is a reference to the earlier episode Diamonds are for Heather.
This is absolutely inspired. The studio audience won't have seen this coming.
Classic 🤣👍 Oh happy days
Some of these are absolute TV gold.
Never fails to make me smile - wonderful script, wonderful actors and just such a brilliant TV series ☺️
Always thought this was the best period of the whole show. Holiday in Spain, blow up doll episode and Yuppy exploits including the famous bar scene absolute classics along with the "Jolly boys" outing to Margate Christmas 1989.
So grateful to have sat with my family to watch these together through the 80s & and early 90s. Sadly, we'll never see this quality again.
Excellent sketch, I had forgotten all about. Del boy nailed the Welsh accent well. "Ivor/Iva Hardy" 😂 Totally, my SOH sometimes too. The other example was Ralphie in The Sopranos when he calls Paulie's Mother and he pretends to be the police. Response to video only.
It was probably Ivor Harden but they probably had to tone it down.
There’s a reason David Jason can do a Welsh accent so well…he IS Welsh, or rather half-Welsh, through his mother, Olwen Jones, a charwoman from Merthyr Tydfil! Prior to this he starred as No Good Boyo in the 1972 version of Under MilkWood, using the same accent.
literally this whole scene makes me proud to be British
Had to watch that three times from the beginners I would love to have a Grandad like that
Hahaha 😂👊
This is absolute magic!!!!!!
Love how the hold music is old Shep
Great call back from earlier episodes
Fantastic. I love the way you’ve only got the first quarter of the sketch. Brilliant.
The best there was or will ever be ❤️ The stage show was amazing too and was spot on ✅
A superb scene! Always think the phonecall section could go on for one more piece of dialogue longer but just so good - infact the clip here should have lasted until Del sat beside Rodney! What a shame!
Love from Ireland 🇮🇪 the best show ever on TV ❤️
The music , old Shep 😂
“What’s the bad news?” 🤣🤣
Absolutely brilliant 👏
Still watch this series today never gets old
I love the audience memeber who goes "oooooohhhhhhhh" at 3:55 when Rodney says he hasn't got a brother 😂😂😂😂
When Raquel answers the phone and it cuts to Rodney.
And Del’s response. “What’s he phoning me for, he’s only in the bloody living room.”
😂
I loved Uncle Albert he was just great
You just can't beat the classics...end of 💯

Every Serbian watched this tv show atleast 5 times, its classic here. Best comedy show, for sure!
Best scene EVER.

They were classics 👍👍👍👍
The tears rolling down
So well written and performed
Absolute classic
You never know what you have missed till its really gone and OFAH epitomises that perfectly...not every show of there's was a classic but the majority was...can't say I could sit down and watch it a again as i know I will repeat every word !!!!! 😃
