We all love our bromeliads and would like to make sure that they are in the best of health. In this feature, we'll talk about bromeliad roots and see why we think that there is no issue when they are not present. This video is dedicated to the newbies and those who might just like to get a bit of reinforcement on this topic.

Thank you this was very helpful. I’ve struggled with bromeliads and I think it was because I was over potting them.

Hello, i find your information helpful. I just started with this species of plant. I used coral pebbles in terracotta pot. Where did you get your wood chips?

They can be bought at various garden stores, at sawmills or farms

Nice! I have some pups to pot, so these tips will come in handy. How do you use the cinnamon?

Hi, it's used as a paste. Add a little bit of water and make a paste, then apply to the bottom of the bromeliad. It helps stimulate root growth, and it also acts as an antifungal and antibacterial agent.

We have never used it for bromeliads, but we use it for aroids. If used I don't see it causing any harm but it's not necessary.
