Tynisha Maestas that’s the key. show TLC. make sure the dogs feel safe. then they trust you. it’s the same with humans. many people do not understand this very simple, yet sometimes complicated thinking.
I was taught in school to take the hemostats grab a wad of hair, twist fast and pull. I hated that. After school, I worked in 4 shops, they wanted it done the same way. I'm now at a doggy daycare and am on my own, so I do it my way, which is the same as you demonstrated for us. Thank you for another great video. You are a true blessing to all the lucky dogs that are in your care and to all of us that watch you on you tube!!
Same thing happened to me,but i think as groomers,we are always evolving to be better, and more aware, and cautious with our fur babies ...We love you C D....
Steve Oshana i’d hope so. you’d think that’s why they got into the profession, right? not always the case. except i have mo idea how they could love their jobs?
@@bkirstie you know how it is a lot of people get into a profession by accident or loved it in the beginning then just become rude and all that but this guy loves his clients and his job. It's a tough job responsibility is high
I have Boxers. No cleaning of ears, except allergies in summer. This was the best ear cleaning I've seen. You are a good person to find the best way to do that without hurting the Dog! 💚🍀💙🙏🏻❤️🎈
Just came from your other ear cleaning video. Amazing! Will do this tomorrow after my fur baby’s groom. You are one of the kindest and gentlest groomers I’ve seen on TH-cam!
Aww poor pupper's Romeo. I'm sure Romeo was grateful for your care as soon as the grip from that chunk of fur was cut off and no longer pulling on his skin. Thank you for being so gentle and caring with all the puppers that you groom. As a dog lover,I really appreciate that because they all dogs deserve that. Romeo is such a cutie. 😊🐾
I feel so lucky to have found your channel. I’m able to groom my Shih Tzu properly and safely because of what I have learned from you. You’re an excellent teacher! Thank you so much for these videos.❤️
Thanks for the kindness you showed while cleaning Romeo's ears 🥰,watched another video & the groomer was so rough & didn't give the dog no comfort or even a break 😳. Romeo was such a good boy ❤️. I look forward to watching more of your tutorials. ❤️.
Another great video and i agree with everything you said about the ear plucking, ive seen some videoes and the way they pull all the hair out at once and it makes my eyes water at the thought of the pain. Thanks Rudy and Romeo look forward to your nxt video ❤️💜💙🖤💚♥️✂️🐾
Thank you! I bought forceps and I was just about to try that technique you said we shouldn’t do, and when I almost tried to do it myself I was like holy moly ok I’m not gonna do this because it just looked super painfu, and now I know what I can use it for! Thanks so so much
I tried the techniques here on a doodle who I previously needed help restraining. I felt terrible for how she felt during the plucking process. This time, I could do the whole thing (with two breaks) by myself, and she showed very little stress/discomfort compared to before, and barely moved, so it was clearly much easier for her! Thank you so very much for this advice and your expertise.
Thank you for this. I just saw a groomer use the hemostat twist-and-pull method and thought "There's gotta be a kinder way to do this..." Thank you for showing that there is! Obviously sometimes we can't eliminate ALL pain, but I think it's worth it to minimize it for our furry little friends. They don't know why we're yanking on their ear hair, after all, just that it hurts. I'm not sure if my dogs need it, I haven't looked (they usually go to a groomer but lately I've been trying to groom them at home), but I'll definitely keep this in mind if they do.
Hi Rudy, just found your channel, love it! Really love your kindness with animals. Just wondering have you ever done a Chinese crested powder puff? Would love to see that! Also could you please recommend the best cordless trimmers for doing a crested face and ears. I want quality, not cheap. Thanks again😄
I have a few questions Rudy.Using a trimmer that close to MY 3 dogs ears DRIVES THEM KRAZY. I use scissors if I have to trim around the ear. Then use forceps & grab very small amounts of hair especially with my Standard Poodle which is over 100 lbs. HARD TO CONTROL. Why not FLUSH THE EAR CANAL THEN MASSAGE IT WITH THE RIGHT PRODUCT ? I tried the powder but he hated it probably because my BIG MITS GRAB TOO MUCH HAIR ? I have a grooming table also if you were wondering. When I had my 4 Basset Hounds WOW their ears always got this brown crap in them, NO AIR CIRCULATION WITH THOSE BIG EARS. ALWAYS FLUSHED THEIR EARS OUT. What do you think RUDY SIR ABOUT FLUSHING EARS ?
I don't recommend flushing ears, unless it is necessary ..ear infection mites,ect..I also suggest having the vet, either show someone how to flush,or have the vet do it themselves.i have seen people attempt to flush ears, and cause major problems to the dog by overdoing it,causing excessive head shaking to the dog..my take is..If you are experienced in doing it,and you feel it is necessary then by all means yes, also the scissors are fine,if clippers are to much, just need to be a bit more careful..You sound like a great hands on pet owner..Thank You so much for watching..
I never know whether I should just use the liquid ear cleaner and clean my shih tzu's ears, or remove some of the hair in there. Her ears are really hairy but all the other instruction videos teach that hemostat, twist, yank thing and I won't do it. If I decide it needs done I will do this.
Omg really I want to slap the shit out of the groomers you described. I don't care how long it takes you DO NOT do that to dogs! Like wtf is wrong with people?!? Then they dump stuff in their ear that burns the hell out of them. Omg infuriating...
Ok, maybe it didn't bother him at all, that's great, but as soon as you started it my cat on my lap and one of the dogs just stood up immediately - and that's the sound of my beard trimmer... What about shorthairded dogs and really nasty mites inside?
WHY NOT USE SCISSORS ✂️ INSTEAD OF USING THE CLIPPER THAT MAKES NOISE INSIDE HIS EAR ? Or use the ear-scissor ? THATS NOT HOW I WOULD DO IT, just saying 😊
Scissors are way to dangerous to use that close to the ears, and the clipper sound, sounds much louder than it really is, because it is right next to our microphone...
This is absolutely disgusting!! Whoever their owner is they should be ashamed of theirselves!!!😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 THEY DONT DESERVE TO HAVE THIS FURBABE!! This broke my heart!! Surprised he isn’t deaf!! Great job
Thanks for sharing, very informative !
Thank you so much for watching us, I'm so glad it helped.
can someone explain the differences between ear powder and ear cleaner? thank you!
Melissa Saucedo
i think the powder is ONLY used to grip the hair easier. and the ear cleaner is just that… a cleaner.

Yea Romeo
How often should you pluck ears?
Every 2 to 4 weeks
Thank you very much. Just got schnauzer a couple months ago and was unsure how often or how much to pluck from his ears.

Que máquina barulhenta 🤭
The biggest problem is that my dog, is in lot of pain he wan’ t let me touch him. What is the solution to that

I still think is food allergies.
Please change his brand of fold. It worked on my Yorkie
Im so scared to pluck my dogs ears lol I feel like that has to hurt
so is the hair in the ear ACTUALLY attached like normal hair?
Why not use, scissors for the face, for the ears ?
Omg really I want to slap the shit out of the groomers you described. I don't care how long it takes you DO NOT do that to dogs! Like wtf is wrong with people?!? Then they dump stuff in their ear that burns the hell out of them. Omg infuriating...
Why not just cut it with a sizzers
I've been watching a youtuber that once she was yanking on a matted ear canal just like this pup... 😖ugh.... and she calls her self educational
Ok, maybe it didn't bother him at all, that's great, but as soon as you started it my cat on my lap and one of the dogs just stood up immediately - and that's the sound of my beard trimmer...
What about shorthairded dogs and really nasty mites inside?
I hate that forcep ear hair yanking🤦🏾♀️
How could the owner let the dogs ear get so bad?
Bella C
i hear you but we don’t know their situation in life
i think u should use a eyebrows tweezers, it's safe
Way to sharp of an edge on tweezers..
do you own a dog? if so, do you groom it yourself?
Mmmm...still have deep hairs inside his ear!
