This is scene is such reverse play on the tension between Luke and Laura this past summer. Luke wanted to be physical with her and she couldn't because of her feelings and marriage/vows to Scotty and it not being the right time. And Luke patiently waited. Now, it's Laura's turn to wait while Luke figures out what the right time is for him. I really love this equal play between the sexes. Proof that both men and women are vulnerable and need time and space to love.
I know I've overused the word brilliant describing LnL interactions,but it's still the best adjective that seems perfect.They are so invested in each other and each scene together!

When GM put TG/Luke & GF/ his Laura the woman was also brilliant herself. Because she knew what she wS doing from the very get. I miss all of there brilliant work together......but I will also NEVER. They always wanted to make out that Laura was a damsel in distress but watching these old video's it is plain to see Laura was definitely not a damsel in distress. She very much held her own and often helped hold Luke together. And yea, without her "pep talks" he didn't fair so well. They complimented each other so well. I miss them so much.

IMO TG looks younger than his age and acts it as well. He is very youthful and energetic and has a baby face. That is why I think I didn't see any problem with their pairing. I took him to be about 5 or 6 years older than Laura/GF. I was very surprised to find out how much older TG really is than GF.
Yes TG looks young. But TG is 32 or 33 well GF was what about 18 or 19. Ok.TG birthday is 05-29 47. GF birthday is 0-5-26-62. So ok there you go thanks. Rosie

I wanted to do what he did for that stuff for the introduction of the great characters of Laura Webber and Luke Spencer. ... and I really wanted the younger viewers to be able to experience it like we did. TG may not b what u would call a real “mack daddy”. However, I think As Luke, he’s so dang cute & sexy, no other actor is as compelling. Never realized until I started watching these old episodes.

Happy with a run down shabby apt, an old wicker chair, a house on it's last legs, she always sees the potential, knows what a little love and nurturing can do. Luke has just never been able to understand it (because of being so poor growing up), but he stands in awe of her because of it.. and still seems in shock at how very much she loves him (until the stupid 08 walking away bit!)
Sorry but the writers of GH did that to both Luke & His Laura. I think some of that bad vibe fell on sorry but TG/ Luke also.? I don’t know what happened in there real lives. Wish I knew the tune that starts playing at 6:12, and the composer of. So dreamy sounding.. This is the one that was playing in many of their romantic Beecher's Corners scenes.
Luke had it in his hands and he didnt know it! I feel his frustration! GH certainly knew how to drag this out yet keep us on the edge of our seats with each escapade Like planned for getting the IP allowing him to get soo close and then whoops...not this time.
MsMabeno The plot lines mirror screwball comedies a lot like Preston Sturges films in the 40s. Last summer was last summer. I want to look to the future. Is that TG now? You know if the present was so good, viewers wouldn't look to the past so much, but things were so much better and it doesn't seem like it is so impossible to go back to in some way. Having a wife and kids and living with a family isn't so bad or boring as TG makes it out to be.
It's really a shame how little respect present day writers show these legacy characters. Luke and Robert are now deadbeat dads. They were always great loving partners and responsible parents. This whole Fluke story in 2015 is terrible and annoying. Sigh.
I've rarely thought about the actual age difference between Tony and Genie. Seeing them here in their early years, I don't see 15 years difference between them. I thought especially as Tony aged there would be a far more telling difference. But with Genie back on GH this week, I think Tony is looking younger and better!
Laura knows Luke and in 2008-2009 still would not subject him to that pain. She could NEVER make a play for him unless she was completely recovered...... lets hope they are working miracles in France!!!
