I do believe that he was Bi in the 80s and that he met Ron glass which was a black man that played on the Barney Miller show and then he went completely gay. He also did have a thing with Elizabeth Taylor, but that would’ve been in the 80s. He also mentioned in an interview that when Demi Moore was on the show after Lara left that he found her quite sexy and she also had a sexy voice, but again that was in the 80s. It’s just hard to believe that he and Janey didn’t have something else because they just made it look so real. The way he looked at her and kissed her everywhere pretty much above the breasts. Genie Francises acting here unbelievable her ability to project so much older just amazing .. they really ripped her off not giving her an Emmy during this period ..an Emmy ,she deserved an Oscar.. and so did he . And Anthony Geary, ,this guys acting was just ..the word, what's the word ? Psychotically good ? This guys a crazy gifted actor . I do believe the music is why he lost it. Luke not only remembers this piece of music, but, exactly what they were doing while it was playing in the back round. He was out of his mind with jealousy, & fully expected to bust in on her romancing another man.

Yes, he's an expert at the art of kissing. But he also really manhandled her in this scene, which disturbed me. He treats her like a possession he can take at will. He's also very jealous. He's truly obsessed.

The scene when he was at her apartment after Luke disappeared from the auction and demanding to know if she had heard from Luke was very disturbing. He was supposedly there to protect her, but he shook her like a rag doll when she wouldn’t cooperate. I found that more disturbing than the “rape” scene.
This is why the show was so good. We were all waiting for the payoff here… but then the compelling Diana/Heather storyline inserted itself outta nowhere!
For some reason, it's not the wedding or some of the other stand-out parts of storylines... this scene keeps drawing me back, one of my top 3 possibly. It is just mesmerizing and so comforting somehow:)
Luke & Laura are back...Like 83', 93'. 06' and 08'...TOGETHER. I have always felt like I (we) could breath again! The world is right again, when they are together. HAVE I MENTIONED HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM!!! The anticipation is great, but nothing better then them in each others arms. How I enjoy this amazing love story!!!

This has got to be one of the greatest scenes on GH! Luke walking by hearing the music "thinking" Laura has male company inside! lol His jealousy stands out and what great acting on TG part and GF! I keep replaying the beginning of the scene it's that good!

Where did chivalry go? It went the way of civility. You know, people just being nice to each other because that's what you did. In those days you didn't have to always blather on about how you felt about something. People were just nice to people not judgmental and preachy. I prefer those times, warts and all, over nowadays.

I have heard that Anthony Geary is gay, which I suspect is true,but I also heard he had a two year affair with Elizabeth Taylor that he valued highly. Who knows! The scenes with Genie Francis are sure smokin' hot! I sometimes wonder if he decided not to continue with L and L storyline because she was then married in the 90s and maybe when he went to Amsterdam he fully embraced his gay lifestyle. He did say in an interview that he got tired of the L and L storyline - not early on, I don't think, but I think as it went along. And I think that is probably because, like anything else that typecasts you, he felt typecast as Luke. I do prefer young Luke to older Luke. It seemed like, in the 2001 L and L story, he was so mellow - TOO mellow - and she was too fiesty. It was like she was a pain in the neck and he didn't have a backbone, something he always had in spades early on, even tho he had a pretty bad temper as a young Luke. Makes me wonder if they had a romantic entanglement and parted company and he thought it best to leave it be. It always seemed like she teared up every time he spoke to her; I got the feeling her feelings for him ran deep. They probably do, regardless of whether there were every any romantic feelings or not.

He told me he and Susan Lucci did not get along... who knows?. I love Luke and Laura anyway and they cannot be replaced.. ..

I love this scene! If I remember correctly, GH that day opened with this scene and as I watched, I remember screaming, "OMG! He's kissing her!" If I had DVR back then I would have played this scene back about a hundred times! It's one of my favorite!
Thanks for replying and yeah, GH seemed like the best thing on TV at the time. Although, I must confess, I'm almost solely interested in L&L, I always am when it comes to couples they're the reason I ever watched soaps to begin with.
The way she goes are you mad at me ? was spot on perfect . And this guys passion ,he's so sexy . When it comes to love scenes it doesn't get better than that. Their passionate scenes together were among the best in the world then and now,if not the best.
Now that's the Luke I kept expecting on his last episode on GH. I fully expected him to go grab Laura and give her a kiss she would always remember. Then perhaps ask her to go with him. They loved their travels together before, why not do them again. Cmon writers have Luke come back for his Laura. They belong together forever.

Last time he did that was in the barn at Beecher's Corners when she told him she loved him. Genie Francises acting here unbelievable her ability to project so much older just amazing .. they really ripped her off not giving her an Emmy during this period ..an Emmy ,she deserved an Oscar.. and so did he . And Anthony Geary, ,this guys acting was just ..the word, what's the word ? Psychotically good ? This guys a crazy gifted actor . Their so good, they're never boring to watch , then and now ..Look at all of the scenes .. basically the entire cast then . everybody impeccable

I do believe the music is why he lost it. Luke not only remembers this piece of music, but, exactly what they were doing while it was playing in the back round. He was out of his mind with jealousy, & fully expected to bust in on her romancing another man.

The scene when he was at her apartment after Luke disappeared from the auction and demanding to know if she had heard from Luke was very disturbing. He was supposedly there to protect her, but he shook her like a rag doll when she wouldn’t cooperate. I found that more disturbing than the “rape” scene.

I have heard that Anthony Geary is gay, which I suspect is true,but I also heard he had a two year affair with Elizabeth Taylor that he valued highly. Who knows! The scenes with Genie Francis are sure smokin' hot! I sometimes wonder if he decided not to continue with L and L storyline because she was then married in the 90s and maybe when he went to Amsterdam he fully embraced his gay lifestyle. He did say in an interview that he got tired of the L and L storyline - not early on, I don't think, but I think as it went along. And I think that is probably because, like anything else that typecasts you, he felt typecast as Luke. I do prefer young Luke to older Luke. It seemed like, in the 2001 L and L story, he was so mellow - TOO mellow - and she was too fiesty. It was like she was a pain in the neck and he didn't have a backbone, something he always had in spades early on, even tho he had a pretty bad temper as a young Luke. Makes me wonder if they had a romantic entanglement and parted company and he thought it best to leave it be. It always seemed like she teared up every time he spoke to her; I got the feeling her feelings for him ran deep. They probably do, regardless of whether there were every any romantic feelings or not.

Someone to pass the time until her "true love" appears. Robert he's a bit harder to read. He could ultimately make it more if given the chance and you almost think that Luke has an idea that could be the case, which is probably why he goes a bit beserk as he burst through the door.
