The Telegraph, Britain, and the wider Western world has lost a courageous voice - someone who no doubt cared deeply for the Ukrainian people and believed in the importance of protecting and upholding the values of democracy. I cannot imagine the grief being experienced by his family, friends and colleagues. My sincerest condolences. I knew David only from afar, like many listeners to the pod. It was reassuring to hear his voice, knowing that no matter how dark the news, or how hopeless the situation on the ground seemed, David would be there to guide us through it all. He was soft-spoken, intelligent and kind. As it is, we must fight all the harder against the shroud of tyranny that aims to suffocate our way of life. Now that David is gone, it falls to us to pick up the proverbial torch and take his place. Never forget that David spoke for and exemplified the goodness of the human spirit, giving it a voice that can never be silenced. He played a critical role at a time and place in history, and history is all the better for it. That can never be taken away from him.

I asked Google Gemini Ai when was the last time a unified Russia won a war. Here’s the answer. The last war Russia won as a unified nation was the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905. However, it's important to note that this victory was a bitter one. The war was a major defeat for Russia and contributed to the Revolution of 1905. Since then, Russia has not been involved in a major, decisive war that resulted in a clear victory. The Soviet Union, Russia's predecessor, fought in several wars during the Cold War, but these conflicts often ended in stalemates or proxy victory. That’s 120 years of not winning a war. I know, it is a real tragedy that the West is allowing all of these Russian oligarchs and fascists to prosper while conducting war on an innocent nation
Outgoing NATO Secretary General told Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) in an interview published on Saturday that the war in Ukraine cannot end without talks with Russia "at some point" "To end this war there will have to be a dialogue with Russia at some point. But it has to see Ukraine in a strong position," Stoltenberg insisted.
Will the USA allow Ukraine to use USA satellites to program Storm Shadow missiles to attack Russian Military Targets - THIS IS THE CRUNCH QUESTION. ?????
Could the west perhaps take that statement as a declaration of war between Russia and the west. Then ramp up delivery of all and every weapon Ukraine desires.
The Houthis (Ansar Allah) in Yemen have claimed responsibility for a missile attack that targeted central Israel on September 15 morning. In a statement, Houthi military spokesman Brigade General Yahya Sarea announced that the group launched a new type of hypersonic ballistic missile at a “military target” close to the city of Tel Aviv in support of the Palestinian enclave of the Gaza Strip, noting that Israeli air defense failed to intercept the missile. The missile crossed a distance of 2,040 kilometers within 11 minutes and 30 seconds, the spokesman said, adding that the attack “caused a state of fear and panic among the Zionists, as more than two million Zionists headed to shelters for the first time in the history of the Israeli enemy.” Based on the information stated by Brig. Gen. Sarea, the missile traveled at a speed of 10,643 kilometers per hour, or just over Mach 8.6.
It continues to baffles me how, after two years of threatening nukes without doing anything, people are STILL falling for the meaningless threats from Russia...
Apparently, most of the population is frothing at the mouth for this. I don't think it's really that big of an escalation tbh. The Russians are already plenty pissed off. For NATO, it's probably ride or die at this point. If we can't bring Putin to heel soon, Iran will open up a second front and China a third.
