scrappy is actually amazing this format, I've been finding a lot of success with scrappy flamigo as there's basically nothing it can't hit for super-effective damage. Pretty frail, but on the right team you can afford stuff like choice scarf or sash
This was helpful on so many levels! Great explanation on the thought process, and I especially loved that it was from scratch; not taking a previously made team or concept and just tweaking that. And visually was easy to follow along! I was hoping to find a cool Decidueye team to test out and this showed up. So glad it did!
Hi Scooteezy. Even though this team is two months old, I found the video very entertaining and informative. Thanks to you, I also discovered this awesome spreadsheet, and I will use it from now on. As usual, thanks for this valuable content, and keep up the great work, fren! :]
As someone who has very little experience in vgc and is just getting into it, gotta say, it feels super validating hearing other people recognize H Decidueye's value because to be honest I was wondering if I was a little crazy thinking he looked good into this meta.
@@ScooteezyVGC Im sure it's unnecessary, but I have been pairing him with Milotic to round out my water fire grass so I can dragon cheer and make his crits more consistent. Plus leading those two with competitive just invalidates Incin lead.
Decidueye is one of my favorite Pokemon and I'm so stoked it's good. I'm crossing my fingers it stays that way until I can take it to locals in September; the reg G weekly meta cycle has trained me to assume anything popular is about to be garbage, even though most formats are way less volatile haha
Hisuian Decidueye it's very interesting to this regulation! I'm gonna use it with Triple Arrows, Leaf Blade, Haze and Protect. Since i'm gonna use it with rain, Palafin can have Ice Punch to Dragonite, Rillaboom, etc. And unlike Rillaboom, with Triple Arrows I can hit Archaludon, Gholdengo, Incineroar... Scrappy goated
Oh snap, he cooking lol :p hisu decidueye making rounds love to see it, on another note, hear me out lol.. sticky hold hydrapple.. Hydrapple also gets nasty plot hmm 🤔
I am a sucker for a swamp team, there was one in the Himmy Tour that did really good that I would recommend trying out, but I do have it on my list of things to test
I'm trying a variant of this team with a dragon cheer gyarados in place of primarina, it makes decidueye 100% crit chance and hydreigon 50% to crit. Not sure if it's an improvement but I'm having fun

I wish its stats were just slightly better, i agree tho its a super fun mon to use, i like upper hand on it too
Ye it's super cool right now, expecially with Ghold and incin both being top 3 mons
Flamingo is such a pain in the rear to dance around. It always hits SO much harder and is always faster than you'd expect it would be.

Glad you enjoyed it, planning to do some more stuff like this in the future
This was actually an amazing video. The process/resources are nice
Glad you enjoyed it
this video was amazing, it’s not every day we get to see such a complete team analysis
Glad you enjoyed it, hopefully I'll get another one out the week after worlds
Really enjoyed this! Thank you for showing us your teambuilding process it's super helpful :)
Glad you found it useful 😁
I really hope you continue to make this type of content it has been super helpful.
Thank you for the resources and showing your process. I have a hard time not just building off of what feels good
Glad you found it helpful
Loved the EV breakdown and explanation
Good team build up, this was helpful for me as I’m currently working on my regulation h team, I’m super excited for the next regulation
Glad you found it helpful, the new regulation is looking super cool, excited to see it unfold

Thanks a ton for showing what resources you used, I’ve been looking for stuff like this for while
I'm planning to do a video covering everything I use in the coming weeks
This reminds me of Jamie Boyt's road to IC videos
You put in a lot of effort on this
I appreciate that, definitely took much longer then my normal stuff
Thank you for showcasing my fave Decidueye! Finally, it is being recognized in the competitive battle. 😎
I recreated this team in Pokemon SV. It is a fun team to use on the casual ladder. I struggled a little bit against TR, but other than that super fun.

It's so good man

Decidueye has a really good matchup into so many popular mons, so I think you're be fine
I would love to see this with Mamoswine. He hits hard but also gets hit hard in this meta
Mamo isn't currently on my radar, but I have a bunch of stuff planned, after that I'll consider looking at it
Great video

Glad you liked it
I like this kinda videos!

I think Empolion is really good with intimidate spam running around. Gets haze for donezo too.
It's definitely a mon worth considering right now, had some cool things it can do
@@ScooteezyVGC played you on showdown today with my Empolion theory. scootmaggot, right? couldnt make Empolion work. ggs
@@e77gma wasn't me, I play on Scooteezy or ScooteezyVGC
Makes me sad we won't get super hype reaction to new VGC rules until April 2025. Appreciate all the videos!
I'm waiting for a ZA update to PSV, giving us XY legends, Tapus and UB. Definitely huffing the Hopium tho😂
Oh snap, he cooking lol :p hisu decidueye making rounds love to see it, on another note, hear me out lol.. sticky hold hydrapple.. Hydrapple also gets nasty plot hmm 🤔
I think Apples sets is AV, but I could see someone making it work under TR
I've been playing this team on showdown last couple of days currently sitting around 1350 in BO3 it's a fun team
Glad you enjoy it, I was really proud of this team :)
@@ScooteezyVGC I have been facing a bunch of fast Incineroar so I swapped upper hand to shadow claw that's the only changes I've made to the team

@@appledingdong3736 my worry with that change would be dozo, but I could definitely see it working if you position it right
Isn't it better to run haze on decidueye itself instead of primarina?
H-Decidueye doesnt really care about burn because of all the crits right?
Burn affects crit, you will still do half damage
@@ScooteezyVGC oh shit, I guess burn doesn't count as a stat drop.. thanks!
Great video, gained a sub!
