It varies depending on the sabiki rig presentation/size. Some as small as size 6 up to say a 1/0. Check out the link in description to get an idea. I was catching on both the largest size and the one's in in the middle of the size range in this video.
Great video I’ve used these tactics you shown for a couple months now and they work great. I use an ultra light rod and the double ups pull like a striper
MEDIUM or MEDIUM HEAVY. Used both in this video I believe. Added link to the medium heavy rod in description above. I prefer that action and length (7ft medium heavy) especially when you get a double...though the other rod I brought that day was a 6ft medium setup.
I believe initially due to COVID and associated parks closings March/April of 2020. Then they kept it closed when repairs started on the locks. I hope it opens back up to the public, but not sure if it will or not. adairvoice.com/corps-to-close-day-use-recreational-areas-postpone-campground-openings/ www.waterwaysjournal.net/2020/07/02/louisville-engineer-district-closes-mcalpine-north-lock-for-repairs/

Good to hear! What river or area do you fish?
@@thebumpchannel East Tennessee dams. I’ve caught 60 in a day where it’s notoriously overfished

I’ve got a 7ft. MH I will try when chasing skips. Liked an UL for yellow bass at Salato in Frankfort. But only #8 hooks.
Where are you fishiing?
When is the best time of year to fish the falls for skipjacks? Great video
spring is probably best. .
Where were you fishing?

Anyone know why mcalpine dam bridge to this area is temporarily closed to public? Having hard time finding information

What river do you fish?
@@thebumpchannel I'm on the Mississippi, and Missouri. I fish out of a red Lowe bass boat. I usually put in at Maple island.
