    I’ve owned heavy cruisers and done long distance road trips. Now, I wanted something light for some shorter distance motocamping just for the weekends now that my schedule is limited with a growing family. Just bought the KPX250 and I’m absolutely loving it. Yes I’ve had Japanese and American bikes and yes I think this will be a great/simple bike to maintain and enjoy.

      Yes bro I love my xpect and I’m sure the kpx is the same if not better
      They take a lot of abuse

      Good to know. Mine should definitely last then cause I’m good at keeping up my own maintenance and plan to be fairly easy on it. I’m on a dad budget now so the price and quality seemed right. Just couldn’t see paying what they want on even older 250s for what I wanted with this bike. Just something reliable to have on the hitch when we go camping and explore new places for cheap fun. Just adjusted my valves tonight with just over 200 miles. Running great and sounding better (they left zero gap in the exhaust valve) but it’s great and so much easier to work on than my 800lb cruisers. Good to know another Lifan owner. I’m subbed! 👍🏻

    Overheating and traffic cuz sometimes I might get backed up in traffic. You think this would be a bad choice cuz of overheating?

    • @baljooter
      @baljooter  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I had a big problem with the overheating on it but I did Ubereats on it so it was used all day long

    I apologize if I missed it, but how fast does this go comfortably on the highway? I need something that'll at least go 55 hopefully 65 without redlining no problem.

      @baljooter  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s been awhile since I’ve ridden it but it’ll redline at around 70mph

    I have been six miles on my x-pect. Already wnt shift into second. Stays in neutral. What do you think?
    Edit: you convinced me to get one

    • @baljooter

      Like ur going and trying to shift to second hits neutral (will it actually go into second though like after a second time trying?

    • @robvincelette4338
      @robvincelette4338 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@baljooter It gets stuck in neutral then I have to shake the shifter with my hand until it comes loose again and then I can get second. It feels like they didn’t deburr a gear. Or like a loose piece of metal

      @@robvincelette4338 I would give it some time as it is still breaking in but that’s super strange contact the dealer you bought it from and let them know of the problem see what they say about it it could be a faulty transmission or just needs to break in more but I’ve never seen that problem

    Never rode a bike, Im 32 and love to offroad in my 98 xj Cherokee. I want a bike on my hitch, would you say this is a good one for a beginner?

    • @baljooter
      @baljooter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a great beginner bike but the problem is no one services these bikes so god forbid anything goes wrong u have to fix it yourself my bike barely needed any service I figured it out myself but you have to keep this in mind when purchasing

      @@baljooter good to know, I think I could look into working on the engines, and it's easier than a whole vehicle for sure, and I've already done a lot to my jeep. I just want something I can use for getting to trails my Cherokee can't go, and since I've never ridden, I don't want some street cruiser that looks like a Yamaha or Harley clone. Not really my style.

    • @baljooter
      @baljooter  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LeroOfTheKodiak if you’ve worked on your Cherokee you will be fine they are simple bikes and mines been reliable straight from the box with little to no repairs

      @@LeroOfTheKodiakHey thought I would chime in cause I've done a lot of research on bikes that would go good on a hitch. Honestly, there's not many, generally speaking the biking world has stupidly moved away from lighter bikes. However the XPect would be one of the best choices due to its light weight and being able to go seriously offroading as well as being highway capable. Other bikes to consider would be the XT250, DR200 (discontinued but many are still out there, parts are still available), and maybe the TW200 but it won't be very highway capable, max of 50 or so without modding. The TW200 has a pretty poor engine though, it's expected life is about 30K, the reason most people like it is because it's huge tires can take it to virtually anywhere, including places where a taller, higher cc dualsport would start to struggle due to weight and size. Hope this helps.

      @@domenik8339 thank you! That's really helpful advice, I really appreciate it! The more I've looked into these, the better they sound. Given that I've never been on a bike before, I'm DEFINITELY going to lay it down, so something at a low cost point like this bike sounds promising.
