Hey, just watched the video, don't know if the comments already answered the "boreas proc rate" issue, actually once you start a map, if you restart, you get the same "randoms" as long as you don't quit totally the run, get to the menu screen, and choose to start another. This is the same for critical, procs, whatever you can think of 'random', and seems like it works for loots too (some runs are bad with loot, some are awesome. . Hope it's clear enough and will help somehow.
in other words, you "proc issue with boreas"' is just linked to the run 'id' you had, that's all.
Also, love the content, and remember : if the haters got under your skin, it means there was enough place for them to get under, meaning don't get personal with troll, look what it is touching inside you that you didn't acknoledge before, thank them for showing you, take responsibility , and you're good to go.
yes you can definitely get "locked into" the rng in certain instances. sometimes it seems to reset itself tho

Thanks for this vid, my biggest worry with the nerf is gr2-21 - it took me 5 or 6 hours to get my 3* run done - didn't want to have to do it all again :), slightly worried about gr1-21 but since i did that i pulled Vierna
1-21 with PoD there is literally nothing to worry about

I watch every video you make. I've been a fan of yours since day one that you started covering watcher of realms. If you can't tell by my handle, I'm a 60-year-old grumpy veteran. My boots have been on many shores in my lifetime. I have seen things and experienced things that I don't wish on my fellow man. I'm obviously of a different generation and I do struggle with the younger generations of today's world. Take it from me brother. You need some thicker skin. Today's younger generations get a little too butt hurt over in reality what is nothing.
Not trying to bust on you, again I've already complimented you in the beginning. Let's not be so soft over things that don't matter. I fear for today's youth. They don't know what hard times are. But then again I wasn't raised where everybody gets a trophy and fragile emotional feelings take precedence over facts. When hard times come you guys are going to be suffering big time. It's the internet buddy. You've got assholes everywhere. Thicker skin is needed in what you have chosen as your career profession. Fasti i absolutely love your vids for how real they are. This vid was a lot of help! Only (hopefully constructive) criticism is, look at your camera and not chat when speaking when not in a fight and your key light is too bright.

So upon watching this video I decided to take your advice and do some reworking on my boreas. It hurt my heart tho lol as I had him over 70k BP.
He's about 65k now and slower and don't have the gear to crit him out...but it works. My need was for gr1 tho.
I had to max skill marri and Ai and rework them to make the best freeze team I could. Pull gear off other heros that's gonna cause me problems everywhere 😂😂😂 But between this video and ronaldos about cerberus...I was finally able to clear gr1 19.
Lost a lot of opportunity for that coming corridor of glory in a few days and spent a lot of coin that could have went to tales of the Smith. But at least I can finally farm good left side gear in the brave conquest tomorrow.

@FastidiousYT welp here comes the official update with the "boreas adjustments." Guess I'm glad I took the time and effort today to get gr1-19 cleared with him so at least I got power of dominance for it. Cause I was really struggling to clear him without another high tier leggo mage before.
It was smoking good w power of dominance on when I made a few runs earlier so I'm not too concerned on that. But I will Def be able to tell, at least in my case, the differences even with power of dominance. Or if auto fight even still works without it 🙄 Don't like the range reduce. Don't like the freeze length reduction. Definitely don't like the damage reduction on attacks on frozen enemies. I guess a positive is the increase in anti heal length. Is what it is now.
But yea kinda stings a little more when I literally just today spent out a ton of resources to build out a whole freeze synergy team with marri and a super fast and strong Ai. Ends up more of a team nerf on that synergy. That team has no chance on 20 now until i can farm some extreme gear with great rolls... Or get lucky and summon a khamet or Vierna. Rest of update seems fun tho. Cheers buddy appreciate all you do 👍 (sorry for the novella)

Thank you for this video i was very worried my progress would stall becuase he shot me so far i only managed to pull 1 so this gives me a great stat line to be shooting for with my gear and still keep most of his use this is a big relief...even more so after seeing he performs great in gr1 still at an on par level to top heores.

I feel your pain with the rng when u missed the freeze on Boreas attacks in the beginning like 10 times in a row. Thanks for the video for letting people know he is still viable. I'm one of those people that can't reset him cause I don't have lasser or any other anti-heal for GR1 21. It is what it is, and I deal with it cause I'm FTP and I know I can't get everybody, so I deal with it. Great video and keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next one.

I appreciate the content. Imagine though how many times it took you to get it done. Others have had it easier others harder. There's always frustrations when anything gets nerfed on any game. People want someone they can see to take it out on. I get it's hard to let go but some people thrive on others being hurt or upset by them. Don't let them get to ya bro.

Hey man, this inspired me to try to push 2-21. I actually found out I could do it with Hatssut (I don't have Khamet or Boreas) with decent gear. It makes the run much easier because she costs so much less and has her ult on spawn and she's invis!
Yup I have guides and takeovers featuring hatssut as well. She is the most op unit in the game for this

@@fastidious_gg Yeah just no luck getting through those yet. Either I am too weak or doing something wrong. Boreas plus Venoma made GR1 and GR2 pretty easy.
Even though Boreas is nerfed and gear rates will be harder, once cleared with the pre-nerf boreas like i have, power of dominance will make up for the nerf I would say.

That is better than my Boreas build, cause I have 0 tears of twilight and less crit damage. To be fair, I have only played for 100 days.
But still, my Boreas can do this stage without any of the tanks during Boreas phase. He is fully skilled tho.
Its gonna be a lot harder, but luckily still possible for people with 100 days of gear. Very active 100 days.
My Olague has my best tank gear, but is almost getting oneshot by the boss, and could not surive the boss at the end. So I had to do some unkillable cycling.
But this setup is nice, and will solve the new 2-21 problem with Boreas.
But both the range and damage nerfs REALLY shows! Khamet in this team is probably better?
I actually think khamet will be harder to build but still easier to use. But that is what I am saying, boreas was completely broken for gr2 previously. Now he is just amazing.

It still could fail. Not because of his ability but because nerf can change the timing of when you chose to pick up and put down your hero

Anyone else wish they just buffed his freeze so he would really incentivize freeze teams? In the patch notes they said he is supposed to incentivize freeze teams. So why lower that part of his kit? Adjustments are needed in games and i say this as someone who alot of my progression is on the back of my a0 boreas
I think incentive his dependence on other freeze heroes. Have more freeze of his on our longer freezes would make him more capable solo. And as they said they did not envision him as a standalone hero. Any we can see he still clearly is
The freezing everything was the problem in pvp it allows him to freeze and do a lot of damage before anyone took there turn against him it was too much they did a good job of balancing him

i was thinking of trying ferssi in GR2 once i have her max skilled after i finish arrogance see if can use him/her without the recall strat sadie to and regulus with ferssi you need skills into the sand aegis skill im guessing it applies it at start of the battle and lasts till the end also need the second passive max skilled you wont really use the ults inspiration so maybe going heavy hp and small attack could try putting vortexs gear on ferssi

@@fastidious_gg its alot to invest to try it out my passives on her are only level 2 most the skills went into basic atk at lv3 ult lv3 might be fun to try out other strats did not realize my sadie is max skilled so need get my ferssi and reg max skilled most of my favourite legos are max skilled
I had to use ferssi and Sadie to beat 2 19 so ferssi definitely could work but Sadie is the queen of damage mitigation for gr2

When Boreas comes out the 2nd time, you mention that you should've used Dolores ult first... If Boreas takes a few seconds for his ult to actually do anything, can you help me understand why it matters who triggers their ult first? (I've always held Dolores ult for a few seconds, not thinking it mattered... But perhaps i need to learn something!). Thanks!
Because boreas does an initial burst when you trigger his ult

With constant hero cycling, no point in invig. Better to just push the stats high. Also, I bet people would've complained about invig
@@fastidious_gg not everyone does the hero cycle strat on invig once stage 19 you will be getting them and not hard to do stages 18 even epics can do the job stage 19 is pretty easy but ya can get gated with roster there are some good sets in stage 18 of gr2 and gr3

I mean idk how that is the takeaway. Watch my original 2-21 guide. He is no longer stupidly broken on this stage but of course you can also see he still works. For this stage at least it was mission accomplished.

So, Boreas is awful for me now... I had to completely remove him from my GR3-21 team. I was still using him in upper right to try to kill the "group" of floaters that come out at the very top... and if I time his placement well, he has time to Ult + 3 more explosions, and it still wasn't killing anything... so I took him out and now I'm using Razaak who shreds them pretty easily. RIP Boreas... (at least he still does what I need in GR1-21 and GR2-21)... I suspect I'll need to remove him from my AoE Arena team too...
He shouldn't be good in gr3. He's not a marksman.
The rng engine in ths game is trash, the multiple chances to land 10% freeze how many did you go 40 chances at 10% and got none which is statistically ridiculous, and then on the other hand you did 2 runs where you hit the freeze easily. And do you think this rng engine runs throughout the whole game! of course!- which explains in summons where some people just het lego after lego, my clan colleague got 8 legos in 140 pulls! Meanwhile I go pity several times in a row. So yeah i think their software is bad, really bad!
