Axess2084..........the last thing i said to my ex after they had taken me for a 14 yr ride and took everything from me.......as a token gesture they said "you can keep in touch with me"........i replied - "why would i do that? so you can tell everyone i am calling you and pestering/stalking you?"
They actually wanted me to keep in touch as a way of them stalking me............i dont want any ex ever knowing what i do with my life after i move on - its none of their business.

And he was excited. Then w no warning that was it. He went from being extra about our future to just ghosting me for weeks. I chocked it up to him being a bullshitter but then the other 1000 redflags went up. But I was in love and let this man almost ruin me. But I figured it all out thanks to these TH-cam videos before I went all in. Thankfully we didn't get pregnant or move in together. The charm was actually poison. What a shame. He really missed out on actually having these things he lied about with me. Would've been so great. Manipulators are fools who miss out on so much.

Hey David, thanks a TON for this video -- it was truly on-point, and right on time for me. I was about to break 3 solid months of no contact, but honestly, this video is keeping me on track. Holding people accountable and staying true to commitments -- these are such great boundary exercises for us. It's all too easy to let good intentions ruin us. So, great advice as always: good intentions don't mean a thing. Actions do. My ex girlfriend will never change... I'd have given her the world, and she would've gladly taken it from me.

You did a superb job explaining this. My ex narc and I discussed marriage, had a wedding date set in the summer living in his town. Then it decided I'd move into an apt. near his town, then he suggested shacking up, then he suggested moving to another city. He proposed officially, then decided he just wanted to stay in his town. When I confronted him on how he was acting like the puppet master in the relationship, he got defensive. He started devaluing me. I was like, oh hell no. You won't talk to me like that so I told him we needed space. Wow...space never felt so good. He was soooo freaking controlling. He called and we both decided to end the relationship. He probably has a new supply, but who gives a damn? After learning more about this awful disorder, I decided it was best to BLOCK and DELETE him from my life. It's taking some time, but God's in control...NOT him!!!!

That's what my ex wife tried while trying to make a baby. ALL at once out of NOWHERE.
I tried for 4 years to get her to focus on family, she was too busy whorinf around the world on solo trips, lying to me etc.
And even tried to move out while I was away on a hiking trick...came home early, half her shit was already moved into a new apartment!
Thank God the doctor said she couldn't have kids...then she dropped the whole house thing, and served me divorce papers.

Its painfull, but best school ever. I could always recognize them, the bs behind, but didnt know I am codependant, and had low boundaries. So I had to please. But now, I am thankfull. Best part was when I was looking how to get my gf back, and one of these videos jumped out. And thats how my all journey to learn and heal started. Thank you all, who are working on this subject.

This is my ex narcissist. He told me he loved me and wanted to marry me I thought he was legit. As soon as we had a disagreement he would use it against me and say maybe I never loved you. I regret telling you I ever wanted to marry you. It hurt me so bad. As soon as I was crying he would say omg I'm so sorry i love you with all my heart please allow me to fix this. Scary part what you were talkinf about the knight in shining armour he actually always called himself my knight in shining armour that would allow me no harm. As soon as we started looking for houses and he knew I was serious about marriage it was like he was so excited to be able to hurt me. I call it emotional abuse. He got insanely angry I called him an abuser

So i made sure that my dad was going to be home then! When that Saturday came around he didn't turn up, his excuse was he got caught up at work- then never made another time to see my dad!!

Sounds like my ex to a freaking tee. He made lots of promises but, the big one was he promised he would go talk to someone and get help/better after he would rage on me. And would say it would never happen again. Lies. We went once to a counselor and he bailed right after, he ended us for 2 weeks then called me crying bc he "missed me". He also, was awful with keeping plans Or being on time, unless of course it was his idea/excited him. He was beyond selfish. Thank you David for this video and all your others! After the 3rd time I told family and friends after he broke us up and then he threw it in my face that he could never trust ME again because I told people he attacked me and i broight it out in him..nuts! How long have you been away from yours?
If you get back with that narc they will eventually punish you for making them admit they were anything less than perfect, never ever take a narc to counselling; they never change- crazy is doing the same insane thing over and over expecting a different result. the narc is and will try to make you crazy
filip smith I agree! The counseling was actually his idea. I thought "wow he's actually following through with something he promised me" lasted 1 session. The abuse got worse each time he put his hands on me. So, I will for sure not get back with him. I'm pretty sure he's more of a borderline. Which from what David's talked about is just as bad as narcs.

I would have married her. Six years she pulled me in then kicked me out. Had me convinced that I was the narcissist. I feel like I’ve been conned. She had the next supply lined up already. I feel like an absolute fool. I loved someone that could never love me back. I don’t want anything to do with her ever again.

I tend to forget the bad things really very fast. Then i let him back in and last time the shit happened the NEXT day after that. I was already watching this channel, so recognised the pattern and am now convinced that he will not change. Now I will have a passive aggressive behavior sensor for next time. No more silent treatments anymore yay! My ex would say: you decide what we will do tomorrow. And then he'd resent me for making the wrong choice the next day.

I was future faked for almost 12 years. Even went so far as to build us a home (with my money of course). After a year in our dream home he began another relationship unbeknownst to me for 2 years. When I found out I dumped him and three weeks later they got engaged. This was back in August. They're still engaged. Very curious to know if she is being future faked as well.

He likes what I have, but then destroyed it? Why? Brand new oven, first day I got it, he started a grease fire in it, then said, he "always does that"! Clothes I bought him he tossed on the floor, or if they no longer fit, rather than donate them to charity, he threw away! (because I fed him so well, he got too fat to fit into them)...didn't join a gym with me, as promised, or go skating with me (I'm a former figure skater, he's a former hockey player)...and I always gave him a back rub, massage, but he rarely reciprocated...as in no yoga class, no Salsa lessons...no cooking/gourmet classes...no trips, unless I paid...now I know...future faking, just another feature of his lying and irresponsible childish ways, where I had to be his mother, nurse, or purse!

David if the relationship was 8 yrs long plus abusive, how long might it take to get over the anger of it all? Still feels like it happened yesterday and I'm angry at many ppl, but I have a special sort of white hot anger reserved for him.
Good thing i never let him see how devastated I was after this future faking for almost a decade. Just cut him out after the most recent devistation, he said hed come to see me for 4 mo straight, every month the flight was 'cancelled' for some lame ass excuse. F that. Only thin2k keeping me from just blowing up on him about it all is that it would be too satisfying for him. No contact for a year and I'm still so livid!!!

I couldn't even plan an evening meal with my husband, one phone call from a so called friend to go out , and he was out the door and before u new it was 9.30 at night getting your food, if I said anything I was abusive, wild just wild , and this man is 47 , we have spilt becaus I couldn't take the gass lightning anymore and he could handle me asking for anything , like mother's day I was really upset because he just thrown me a mother's day card after seeing me sort out his mum.,my my his antie , well because I was upset, I got my house smashed up he lift me for dead and he just walked out the door , wtf xx

David, I have been with my Narc for 4 years but just recently discovered that she was a Narcissist. ( within the last 6 months ) I found myself acting the same way she does with the lies and the being gone for hours at a time. I use the .."Well if she can do it , So can I" excuse. You get used to their toxic behaviour, marinated in negativity, this becomes your normal. Your old way of being, thinking and behaving are picked apart and re-programmed, until you're basically a clone of them.
I am sure we mimic everything we see. Motivating videos of cleaning and organizing works miracliously for me when it seems nothing could make me clean. The same with toxic behaviour , it is contagues We need to run away from it like from the plague.
It means nothing. Promises of anything normal that normal people follow through with. They can’t do it. Maybe they want to but they can’t commit. I wasted 7 years on this bullshit with 3 different narcissists. I wanted a baby and security. And because I was dumb and believed them now I have nothing. Sad.

What if, in making ur plans, things Jump in the way? Like you didnt get the phone call your needed? Or you failed a test? I have things get I the way, last minute and it has cost me....
So this is kind of a funny example but mine moved in with me...and would volunteer to mow the yard on t uesday. Id be like...oh thank you...thats so sweet of you! On tuesday he would say..hey I'm gonna do the yard on Thursday instead...then Thursday he would push it off till Saturday...so by Sunday...I would say...so what's up with the yard? Are you gonna mow it? Instant rage attack! Accusing me of nagging him about it...etc...complete over reaction to my question. So then I was like fuck it...I'm just gonna mow the yard. Then...guess what....now I have emasculated him by mowing the yard myself according to him! And remember...he volunteered in the first place! Almost like he wanted the adulation for saying he was going to do it but never intended on actually doing it! Kind of a form of future faking Such a small thing that he had a,way of turning into such a huge dramatic deal and just mind fuckery! It was like I was,scared to mow my own yard...and he wasnt doing it either...and would yell at me if I brought it up. Control. All about control

My ex narcissist Kyle the one that brought me to you. The one that has taken me a year and a half to recover from. He killed himself last night drug overdose. I was told today.
I dont know how to feel or how to react. I am confused.
They self destruct, knowing the wake of their actions and the impact it will have on those around them.
My eldest sister committed suicide after a life lived solely for self gratification, at the expense of her family , children, career , health.
My mother went to her grave totally broken by this, last act of selfishness on my sister's part. We that are here had to witness it.
More than one person dies when suicide is committed.

When I talk about going back home He wants to get married But won't set a date. So I had a cook and companion. I want to go home but I'm unemployed and don't know about my future. The rich older narcissist who wants to insure the family inheritance by appearing to be a normal family man has a bit of a different tactic. In the case of my family member, they (she is 16 years younger than the narc, no money or possessions/single mother) did marry the narc, but as of yet, still renting, promises for world travel and a "potential" multi-million dollar business which hasn't yet gotten off the ground.
A cat is excited when it brings in a live mouse to it's owner, proud, excited looking for admiration just before the sadistic games, mouse dissociation and finally the kill. Hyenas laugh and smile before they feast together(the narc family) when they all dine at the same table. If a mouse has property, a summer home, bank accounts, pensions and friends in high places, moggie law, dog police and cat prisons as a deterrent then the cat might just rethink it's strategy. There is always the coin flip to everything in narcissism, some get married to cause as much hurt as possible with a rapid discard or entrapment for further abuse, some get married because the partner never wanted to, some just mirror to fool and deceive pretending they want to but never do. .

But pretended to be nice then be vicious eventually he discarded me after six years and then ... he hasn't spoke to me since the discard basically n promised a divorce I got mad n told him hurry up with divorce BUT he didn't send it
Some of them/maybe many of them re-enact the same abuse which was done to them. If the parent left when they were 10 the narc will try and do the same when the oldest is that age. Exposure, identified abuse, an illness to the partner will trigger a much faster discard. Narcissists hate everyone with empathy, we are just a reminder of their failings as a human being. In the end we have to be happy with who we are and grateful we are not one of them. Unfortunately divorce will not go quickly and will probably require a court order.
With them "I love you" is a future fake....its from hello. Doomed from the door.
He told me we would fix the house that was falling apart at the seams. I waited for a few years for this to happen and he kept quitting jobs and always some other dramatic scene going on. I ended up paying ALL the bills, while he bided his time making up these lies.
Then, at the end, because the payments got too stressful for me, he ended up smearing that it was me who sabatoged the fixing of the house.
How can I fix the house without his help and when I am the only one pulling in an income?

He had no intentions to help fix the house. He just wanted me to foot the bill. That's it.
I paid ALL the bills for years and when the house was sold, because it was in his name, I never got a penny from the sale.
And, his smear campaign was that I was a gold digging whore who made him broke.

Oh yes! Choose a date for 2019 and we'll get married and then 3 of us will go on holiday. The third person is the ficticious child! Problem is that even though he left his family he still hasn't separated legally. When I reminded him of these words a few weeks ago....he said he couldn't remember!!!!😂😂

In order to keep up with this cousin ( attention seeking , self gratifying one-upmanship) the narcissist began an odious campaign of repeated proposals to which he received the same repeated refusals.
He never asked why , just came back with another request at the next opportunity.
It was so utterly ridiculous , I didn't have time to feel insulted that he wasn't wanting to marry ME , I was so busily laughing at the staggering arrogance of the idiot and how he COULD NOT SEE that I knew what he was doing , so wrapped up was he with the thought of how HE would look to everyone by getting married, never mind the reality or reasons for doing so.
He stopped eventually , after the reality of his cousins' marital problems became apparent.
Bad relationship skills do not magically strengthen with the act of marriage ; on the contrary!

I was married to someone for 7 years who faked our future the whole time. When I got a bit boring, my income went down, put on a few pounds (a few!), the devaluation, triangulation & discard followed. Not just discarding me but our son. We divorced. The narc came running back 1 month after the divorce was final. I agreed to give them another chance & we've been in counseling for almost a year. It does seem like they understand & trying very hard to make amends. In the back of my mind however, I am waiting for a repeat episode. It's pretty hard. We are both in our late 50's.
