    For the one line of redstone video what if you wanna make the buttons right under the lamps and not super far away

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If they are close enough, or directly above, you could use torches & repeaters to keep the signals separate. Like if they are directly below the lights, just have a torch behind the button, then blocks with torches on top going up.
      Or if u dont want tons of torches or something, can sigzag the redstone up via glass. Just making sure the signal strengths line up for the output converter thing. Like a strength of 1 on the 1st light's section. Can use the side input on a comparator on subtraction mode to subtract from the strength of the signal if needed.
      If that doesn't make sense. Or you need something else let me know! Or can join my discord to post pics and such if needed

    Man it would be really helpful if you could suggest me some beginner projects because i have watched this amazing series and want to implement it in my builds

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I started with simple stuff like; lockable doors, hidden piston doors, light switches/lamps.
      Them my 1st custom project was a lotto system. Figuring out custom payment with item filter, rng to trigger different droppers, & clocks with extenders to dispense different numbers of prizes. Lottos are nice because they can use basically anything. Flashing lights, moving parts, clocks, counters, extenders, shorteners, separating signal strengths, etcetc, anything you can think of. But at the core all that's important is a rng & item filter.
      After building that it made me more confident. Then i started doing like payment exchange systems (item filters that can count), card shufflers (droppers that shuffle & deal 42 items). Then started to try & figure out what kinds of game mechanics you can use, as well as tried more to condense redstone. For the latter I would try to run rs in tight spaces more often in survival. Like adding target blocks way above a door to open that door, or hidden doors in a thin wall. That can be frustrating, but really hammers in how to get the signal from point A to B.

    can u make some guidelines for compacting Redstone and making it smaller for someone new to this thing, I just cant find any resources on compacting :( , I'm playing on BEDROCK.
    like i have an idea but what hinder me always from executing something is that the redstone lines interfere with each other or i cant get it to the component i want, etc etc ...

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@حيدرهاديعبدالغني Great idea!! I will start figuring out ways to try & explain that :D
      Compacting does end up being the most challenging part of redstone. At least in my experience. I built massive machines for a long long time before slowly figuring out more compact ways to get stuff done.

      @@OmLedu ty :D ... and ty for the guide series on redstone components and mechanics, the thing that is always bothering me is that i understand the components and the simple mechanics by itself but when it comes to make something with it and combining things it just ends up being really hard to wrap ur mind around it... especially pistons they always fk me up XD ...

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@حيدرهاديعبدالغني I know what you mean!! It took me forever to figure out a different way to think about what I'm trying to do. Like I knew a few components, buuut couldn't wrap my mind around how to use them to accomplish my goal. Started trying to think about my goal differently, like I want this door to stay open if i press this button. Soooo i need to change the button from a pulse to an on. Okay done!... But now i need a way to turn the on into an off... It started becoming easier to think in redstone terms the more I learned and practiced.
      Now as for pistons, I still struggle with complex chains XD
      If it's just a piston extender, or a handful of pistons that's okay! But once it becomes more and more complex, it takes me forrrever to figure out XD
      Like those 3+ x 3+ vault doors are crazy lolol every time i go to design one I end up just getting distracted & doing something else X]]]

    I understand if minecraft wants to make redstone more accessable to new people
    But why? I was literally a beginner and I felt so cool doing a t-flop
    Why did they have to ruin it? 😭

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@KelvinWarren-eh9jp Haha yeah i can see that. I would have much rather had a new extender/shortener/stabilizer. But I'm happy with the new bulb tflop. Having a 2x1 tflop rather than a 4x1(+1) does allow for more compact stuffz.
      Tbh i thought it was a pretty gimmicky update to distract from the fact they spent all their time nerfing farms lol. Like "here is a new redstone lamp, it can be a tflop if u add a comparator, & here is a messy overly complex autocrafter. Sorry not sorry that we've spent all our time changing spawn mechanics, raid farms, villager trades, and anything else we can think of to break all of your farms!!" lmaoaoao x]

    • @OmLedu
      @OmLedu  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hankaymer-pd3ge Yeah XD The previous smallest tflop was 4x1 with a power snow sticking out of any side. So like 4x1 +1 lol
      The copper bulb is 2x1 so half the space basically.
      I was actually annoyed when I 1st saw it though lolol. Not because of anything, but because we already had a small tflop. I'd much preferred a 1 block pulse regulator, like a shortener/ extender (3x2) but!!!!! When I started messing around with it, I quickly changed my mind lolol. I still would like a 1 block regulator, but the bulb can act as a suuuper versatile shortener as well o.o By just sticking an observer looking at the comparator, poof it's now a shortener. So not only is that 3x1 (half the size of the previous smallest shortener), but u can have the observer looking up or down, not just to the side :o The previous one was basically limited to being flat, which was suuuuuper obnoxious.. But with the bulb it can go up or down or all around hahaha.
      Extremely useful. Even it being just a 2x1 tflop has also been handy for compacting stuff. But the shortening is epic, been using it a ton lately haha
