So is this keyboard worth it I'm new and want to learn so I want a good keyboard Any recommendations. My budget is 170$ sorry im 14 and that's all I have
This is NOT a toy. It's a digital keyboard. Any pro should be able to perform on this. Someone who says they NEED to play on an expensive piano is expressing their own limitations of adaptability. Sure, it's not weighted keys, but some people literally prefer this type of 'synth' feel. These kinds of (cheaper) keyboards are all about replaying samples of sound. Casio has been working on these samples for decades. If you listen to the keyboard through its own speakers, you won't get the real story. The built in speakers are for practicing. Also, it does make a pretty cheap midi-over-usb controller. My last note is that Casio makes a new keyboard model, the CTS-300, and it's the same internals, entirely new user interface, and a better feeling key bed (and a pitch bend wheel! and is touch sensitive!)
One question. I know its been a year but the wire(not the battery) that connects to the phone, does it comes with the piano or you must buy it at other store? Please reply as soon as possible
Yes, as long as you have a 6.35 mm adapter and a 3.5 mm aux cord, you can plug it into your microphone jack on the computer and it will be able to record. Keep in mind, though, it requires some tweaking to get the sound just right (it usually is very loud by default) Check out a song in my channel called "Undercover", that whole song was made with this keyboard, and I also used it to help me record some other songs in that album.

@@artgonzalez9581 Hello, recording is a little tedious on this keyboard since you do need to follow some steps and know what you're doing when it comes to leveling up the volume. The keyboard has a 6.35 mm output jack on its back, you need to find an adapter for it to convert it to 3.5 mm, then, you need to plug an aux cord to the 3.5 mm jack, from the keyboard to your computer's microphone jack. When this is setup, you'll need to go into your microphone settings, habilitate the option to "listen to the microphone" and this is how you'll be able to figure out just how loud the output sounds so that you may turn it down, either on your keyboard itself or (recommended) the settings on your computer in the same window you brought up. After this is done, and your keyboard is sounding right, then you just need a software to record it on. Maybe Audacity (since it's free), or any program like Fl Studio or Ableton (these are for music production). In any case, you'd need to look up for tutorials on how to record on the program of your choosing. If you're wondering how it might sound in the end, I recommend you listen to a song I uploaded to my channel named "Undercover", from my "redtie" album. I used the keyboard on almost all of the songs in that album, but "Undercover" is the only song in which all of the sounds came from the keyboard (drums, bass, guitars and piano).
