I think the most incredible part of being homeschooled is the part where parents are putting that much time and attention to their children. That’s what I got out of my mom homeschooling me, so much love, time, and attention. You go mama.

I love your comment! So touched to know that this is how being homeschooled impacted you. I grew up in a private school and always had a tutor from school (not motivating and impersonal most of the time). Mom wasn’t hands on at all as she was the breadwinner. It’s a blessing to be taught by your own mom especially if it was done with so much love and care. I plan to home school my 2 y.o sometime soon so hoping to gather some good resources for future reference. God bless! -Ivy 💛

I’ve been a silent viewer for years now (before the first bug 💞), and I just felt inclined to say something today. Although I am not a mother or religious by any means, I have found so much peace from your channel. I find you so strong, intuitive, and someone I look up to when it comes to a worldly outlook. I’m only 22 and just moved into my first home, and you inspire me to be the best I can be for myself and those I love. Much love!

As A Traditional Christian Homesteading, Homemaking, Homeschooling Mother, I Loved This! ♥️🤗🙌🏼🙏
I also LOVE your classroom ♥😍🤗 it's darling 😍🤭♥️ and you did an absolutely AMAZING job! 😉💯🤗
Unfortunately a lot of parents fall under the Stigma and Doom and Gloom of feeling inadequate and unqualified to teach their own children, especially when it comes to proper education and the Indoctrination we've all had on school systems and public and/or private school educations, etc..
I too, felt I was inadequate and didn't have the qualifications to homeschool. I felt I didn't have what it took, and I even graduated from high school and went to college for Business Management and Business Administration and Still felt this way lol, Until I just gave it to The LORD GOD and followed HIS guidance and just did the next right best thing and gave it my all.
I've been homeschooling for 4 years now and I love it.
There is absolutely NOBODY Better.. NOR More Adequate.. NOR More Qualified To Teach Children than their Own Parents!
I love teachers and have a great deal of respect and admiration for them, however, I do NOT like NOR agree with the Educational Systems and Their Corruption and their Insane Ideologies and Indoctrination.
It's NOT The Teachers, It's The Corrupt (and Infiltrated) Educational Systems!
▪︎The Good and The Beautiful are EXCELLENT Homeschooling Curriculums and I also include things from k5Learning.
I Teach My Children Way MORE than just the basics.
📍For Instance, I Teach MY Children:
▪︎HOW to grow their own food
    ▪︎HOW to Garden and farm
    ▪︎Hunting and butchering and processing
▪︎ HOW to Cook and Bake Homemade From Scratch
    ▪︎HOW to build things
    ▪︎HOW to sew
    ▪︎Home Economics and Consumer Science
    ▪︎Reading
    ▪︎Writing
    ▪︎ Math
    ▪︎English | Vocabulary | Grammer & Punctuation
    ▪︎Science
    ▪︎Biology
    ▪︎Botany
    ▪︎Cursive
    ▪︎Spanish
    ▪︎Biblical Studies
    ▪︎Health & The Human Body
    ▪︎Scripture Memorization
    ▪︎History | Social Studies | Civics | Creation | World History | Etc..
    ▪︎Bible Reading & Studies
    ▪︎Homemaking
    ▪︎Language Arts | Languages
    ▪︎Art | Gym | Music | Chorus
    ▪︎Finances | Budgeting | Check Writing & Balancing | The Value Of A Dollar | Etc..
▪︎HOW to tend to and take care of Livestock
    ▪︎foraging | Holistic health | etc..
    ▪︎And So Much MORE!
I'm sorry this is so long, BUT, My point is, we the parents, teach our children so so very much and on a daily basis too, even without realizing just how much we actually do infact teach them, and so much more. It's so much MORE than a school teaches them and MORE than a school is even equipped to teach them.
We can give our children the attention, the time and the love that they NEED and that they deserve, way MORE so than a teacher can. And that's the way it SHOULD be, because WE are the PARENTS of those children, NOT the teachers.
Teachers have so many children in their class to teach all throughout the school day that it's impossible for them to tend to each student individually like that.
Plus in today's world, Homeschooling your children is the BEST & SAFEST Option!
Love Always and GOD Bless Ya'll 💕 🙏
    Stephanie 🙋🏼‍♀️ XoXoxoxoxo 💋

That is excellent. I say yes to this type of homeschooling. I am pleased when I listen to and read about parents who decide to take schooling into their own hands, instead of outsourcing their responsibilities to an institution that specialises in dividing people, bullying, interested only in top scores and top marks, and creating employees for a Job market that will make too many people unemployment and redundant

    • @julians9763
      @julians9763 ปีที่แล้ว

In mainstream schooling when a teacher or education assessor critises how a student speaks English, this has proven to me that it is not the student to blame. Parents have to understand that their kid is being sifted oout or separated , and that teacher and that assessor don't really know the English language beyond their qualifications and their chosen subculture.

Good job mama! I have been homeschooling my 6 kids for 16 years (2 graduated) and I can tell you that you are doing great. You can do this. I am still changing routine, curriculum and teaching as we go year after year. There is easier seasons than other but with the support of your community, your family and other homeschool moms, it helps.

It's always so interesting seeing how others homeschool. I've been homeschooling since my 14 year old was 7, I HS him and his 3 younger sisters now too. We did no formal lessons until 7 , in the early years they learn so much just from playing, if we did any lessons it was things like the days of the week song like you did. We don't have a designated school room, because my kids learn all over the house. We are very relaxed homeschoolers and I take advantage of being in the comfort of home, we do the majority of our learning with unit studies, there are some cool ones for preschoolers too.

Hi milena! I've been praying to the Lord so much recently! We just got married and the photographer isn't sending us ANY ceremony photos because it isn't up to her quality standards. We are so heartbroken and devastated. I have asked for a refund and to be able to see the photos, and was told no. I recently reached out to a lawyer and we are going to seek legal action. I've given this to the Lord and I just want to keep fighting for my pictures & our special day. 💗

    • @BSmeansBlueSalad
      @BSmeansBlueSalad ปีที่แล้ว +10

That seems like a weird reason to not send any photos from your ceremony. Did you have any attendees who snapped a few to remember that moment? We had an uncle take our photos and he was alright, but I honestly used more of the iPhone photos from our guests from the day. I loved the different angles and points of view from them.

With my 6 yr old, I've noticed that on some things we have to break it down into smaller pieces in math and use repetition, for instance, when we were learning how to tell time.
Its so wonderful to teach our kids to learn and see them grasp new things.

I love the traditional, minimalistic approach you have going on. Kids don’t have to be overstimulated and that’s the problem with today. Thank you so much for doing this video on homeschooling!! It’s so helpful for me to not feel intimidated on homeschooling my little ones. I am considering do this full time in the future as they get older, but so nervous about it. More more videos like this please!

As an elementary school teacher, some of the things you say about school really hurts my heart. I know public school isn’t for everyone, but I think some of your preconceptions aren’t necessarily accurate to a real life classroom (or at least in my district). On the flip side, you’re doing a lot of great homeschool work for kids their age. One thing I would 100% add for yourself is some sort of progress monitoring. This way you can take those strengths and weaknesses you mentioned and track their growth. It also helps you better prepare what material or content matter to work on.

You mentioned monitoring system , here’s the thing , I am a homeschool mom and I discovered a great disadvantage of having one on one education is that it minimizes the necessity of keeping score through test and quizzes because you can visually and consistently see how much the child is “mastering” a skill . I simply go over a lesson a few times if my gut tells me my child is struggling

Your video is a lifesaver. I admire your way of homeschooling. In Japan, we do not have enough English education systems to build. Therefore, I have been struggling with my emotions every day and did not know the most optimal approach for kids. I felt massive pressure for homeschooling how to organize room, materials, toys, tablets, and flashcards. Moreover, I did not know how to introduce English vocabulary to kids. Your video taught me countless useful pieces of knowledge on how to set up homeschooling and English education. Much Appreciated. ♡

I am a homeschool parent of 4 5 and under loved your video and we do use the good and the beautiful but pre k was not our favorite both my 3 and 5 year old are reading but it's because we only stuck to letter sounds until they could do cvc then we introduce letter names I found that my 3 yo was getting confused with letter sounds at beginning since his schooling had been mainly overhearing what my older daughter did so he kept struggling with cvc at the beginning we do explode the code and jady a has a great course on homeschooling it really helped me navigate in my homeschool

Where did you get your calendar banner? Very nice space. I remember kindergarten and first grade and loving all the things on the wall, even the banner of the alphabet, so information rich walls is an excellent idea. I appreciate you talking about it so thoroughly and also showing it so we can see what it looks like. I'm going to start staying home soon, Thanks be to God, and all my working has not prepared me for it. So this video has helped me prepare. So well done.

Hi from another preK homeschooling mom! My daughter is newly 4 and what we’ve been doing is a bit less structured than what you are - but I love this video and it’s giving me lots of ideas!
I also do day of the week, month and number & weather. But other than that we don’t do anything but play and whatever arts and crafts she wants. I am using the book “teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons” and she’s on lesson 50 and doing so well! I suggest it once you get to that step if you’re looking for something. So many friends have used it and everyone says it works every time!
I’m really conflicted about whether to start kindergarten with her next year or do another year of preK (she’ll be 5 at the end of September). I’m guessing you’ll do 2 years of preK with Alethea? Or will you do kindergarten next year?

Obviously I don’t know you and your family and where your daughter is developmentally, but I also have a late September birthday and my mom kept me back a year. Now being in college I am FOREVER thankful she did that, and I love being on the older end of my peers. Leaving home at 18 almost 19 was SOOO much easier than if I had been 17 and I am so thankful for that extra year at home with my family. Just my thoughts!

@@kaitlyn.j this is really helpful, thank you!! I really am torn so hearing your experience helps. I wonder about whether she'd like to be older or younger than her peers and I can't really ask her and get a legit answer because she won't know either! lol

Also, 2 great books are Edith Schaffer's What is a Family and Elisabeth Elliot's The Shaping of a Christian Family. Specifically for homeschool would be For the Children's Sake by Susan Schaffer MacAulay. It's a classic.
