I think Sylvie insists she isn’t a Loki so much because the TVA said she wasn’t Loki enough and that’s why she’s a variant. She leans into her new self with resentment to who she “is supposed to be.” I think that’s why when he calls her a Loki she asserts that she’s not with a bit of power in her voice. Because, if she WAS a “proper” Loki, the TVA wouldn’t have labeled her a variant.
This was such a great, fun episode. Sylvie was a great addition to the MCU and the chemistry she and Loki have is just chef’s kiss. Sophia Di Martino has proven herself to be such a great actress.
14:29 I always assumed that the guards were protecting the ship because those in power allowed their families board, and in exchange they wouldn't let undesirables get on the ship.
Lamentis is presumably the primary star in that system and Lamentis-1 is the first (closest) planet orbiting that star. Just as our star is named Sol and our planet can be referred to as Sol-3 or Sol III.
Loki is a great Show. The Funny thing is in Norse Mythology Loki Is the Father Of Both ''Fenris Wolf'' and''Hel the Serpent'' So for a Shape Changing Character Who ( Could/can turn into any animal or Human. Both Female or Male....He is Not just Bi . Its Next level lmao!) In Marvel Comics ''Lady Loki'' Is a Reincarnated Loki after he Died in a run of comics... And then there is ''Sylvie Lushton That Goes by the enchantress'' This Show Has Combined the Two into ''Lady Loki ..With the Power to Enchant others (''the Enchantress.'') Using the Name '' Sylvie''? I think it is a Great Trade off. ( After DC Had an ''Enchantress'' in Suicide Squad'' ) It would have Seemed like Marvel was Just Copying DC If She went By that Name.
If someone Could shape change into any Animal or Human (Male or female.) I think it would be Impossible to not try everything lol. (Loki Was the Father to a Serpent and A wolf After all...Its all good). In Thor 1 He shape Changed into Lady Sif and Thor 2 Captain America (He must have a thing for Capt. after all in End Game he also Changed into him lol)
When it was revealed that Loki was gender fluid, and bisexual, some Christians wanted the show cancelled and for everyone to boycott it, but it never really went anywhere.
@@vgautamkrishna5197, it would definitely be nice if people could understand things like that, but unfortunately some of us can’t even accept fictional characters being who they are.

As we saw in the first Thor movie, that spell can be overcome by direct contact with another Frost Giant or their artifacts. Frigga taught him that kind of illusion spell, so he can make himself look like whoever he wants and change his clothes. Either from 1500 years of living in Asgard or Odin's spell being stronger, he'll revert to the base Asgardian appearance.

Lamentis" was another great episode of "Loki". It was full of action, suspense, and humor. One of the things that I liked most about the episode was the way that it used the setting of Lamentis to its full advantage. The planet was a desolate and dangerous place, and it made for a taut and suspenseful atmosphere. I also liked the way that the episode used the time-travel elements to create some interesting paradoxes. Overall, I thought "Lamentis" was a great episode of "Loki". It was well-written, well-acted, and full of exciting moments. I can't wait to see what happens next on the show Love Is A Battlefield. Tainted Love. I Want to Know What Love Is.“All You Need is Love”.“You Give Love a Bad Name. The episode was praised for its action sequences, humor, and emotional depth. It was also notable for its exploration of gender identity and sexuality, as Loki confirmed that he is bisexual.
In the Myth's, Loki does turn into a woman and even gives birth as a woman, so having a female Loki isn't unique idea. There is a lot of modern work into mythological interpretation that Loki was a Transsexual representation in myth form.
Hey, Emme! This episode frustrated me because, with only 6 episodes, there's not a lot of time to waste on filler. This was a character-building episode that revealed little about character and just posed a bunch of questions! The Asgardians in the comics are the actual Norse gods of mythology but, in the MCU, they've been downgraded to long-lived aliens of great durability who were perceived as gods through their interactions with Midgard. So, Loki really isn't the God of Mischief. That's just what he calls himself. Sylvie was a new creation from recent Marvel comics. When the variant was revealed to be female, comic readers assumed she would be Lady Loki. Post-Ragnarok in the comics, Loki hijacked Sif's body as the Asgardians resurrected and became raven-haired Lady Loki, a member of the Cabal. Loki was tapping his inner anima or yin and embodied her as a sly seductress. I wish they had gone that route because Sylvie, on the show, is thoroughly unpleasant. Human colonies on extra-solar worlds by 2077?! What technological leap is being intimated will occur in the next 50 years in the MCU that will have humans settling the stars so soon? I would have expected the Lamentis date to be more like 2277! Is something about to pop off? Loved Loki's lamentation! He sung beautifully in what I guess was Norwegian. Such moving melancholy. Like the Dwarves singing about the Misty Mountains in "The Hobbit". Loki's bi! It's canon! In the comics, as in mythology, he is married and deeply devoted to Sigyn, his wife. However, he is a gender fluid character and Hiddleston is somewhat androgynously handsome so it makes perfect sense. TVA personnel are all variants?! That was the most significant reveal of the whole episode! Wait until Mobius hears about this. All the rich fat cats getting on the last chopper out of Saigon is reminiscent of "Snowpiercer"! Some more telekinetic bursts from Loki! I wish he had used this ability more in the movies! The ark is destroyed before they can hijack it! Now what? In the comics, these two could create a telekinetic bubble around a planetary fragment and ride out the apocalypse but neither of them is that powerful in the show.

I think Marvel caught most of us by surprise with Sylvie. I certainly was. Don't feel bad because you didn't catch it. It's a twist! And a good one.
11:15 Loki hasn't seen the tickets. He had seen the dagger. He can't conjure what he hasn't seen.
5:05 I would imagine that a Loki would know better than anyone else how untrustworthy a Loki can be.
Hearing Emme say "Wooow" the way she does hits different when it's an Owen Wilson show.
