For ppl outside of SF, the big TV tower in the background is Sutro Tower and is actually considered to be a pretty significant landmark in SF, not to mention it's farther away IRL than it looks in the video.

You should get a field strength analyser and check out the very high RF you are getting from the antenna as I did down on eighth avenue about half a mile away from where you are. At that place there is about one third of the scale, where you are it is much higher. I don't know what the effects might be but it would be interesting to check it out.

@@naisi actually they are not moving out in droves. It’s a very few numbers leaving but a quarter of those are covid deaths.
I think they took the wrong approach. They should have gone with Stahl House style architecture with floor to ceiling windows and slightly cantilevered out to get the full impact of the view. The Stahl house is truly 'iconic' and timeless.
One look at the oddly incongruent exterior and I just mute the voice of the narrator/designer or real estate agent/Sotherby's.
If you just watch the video without sound, it's just another one of these properties in SF that has a really exquisite views. Virtually every mansion or expensive structures above $15M-$20M has unbelievable interior design, so there's nothing special here. It's just the BS about over-all design that turned me off.
Unfortunately, the inside is stacked floor to ceiling with with eye sore pop culture Andy Worhol tomato can types of "high end" junk arts that make an otherwise well designed place cluttered with things nobody cares after the owner's gone.

Lovely view. But in addition to the cell tower noted by others, the house also sits on what is basically a cliff overlooking a city that has a history of serious earthquakes. Am I the only one who thinks this could be a problem when (not if) the next big shake comes along?
Haha. That's not a cell tower. That's Sutro Tower, which is one of the highest points in the city with beautiful vistas. It's legitimately a hill, and not a cliff. also, height has nothing to do with earthquakes. I'd understand if you had issues with that 20 mil price tag, but all the other stuff is part of the charm of San Francisco.
The best place to be in San Francisco during a quake is on a hill because of stability. Why you think a lot of structures in hills like pacific heights and twin peaks survived the San Francisco 1906 quake rather than landfill areas like downtown and the marina ?? The location in this video is called twin peaks. It’s not a cliff. It’s the highest point in San Francisco

The Sutro Tower is the second largest structure in the city. At 997 feet the TV/Radio tower is a prominent feature of this house. No wonder this property has been thru several price reductions and now has been delisted. Who at Sotheby post these houses. Please hire me and ill check that posted houses are still on sale. My god!
