This is an organ arrangement by Xiaoting Chang of ' Canon and Gigue for 3 violins and basso continuo' by Johann Pachelbel. The video was recorded on 11th of November, 2018
Beautiful, the fact it is not so polished, edited and smooth as other versions on the internet is what makes it so natural and therefore good, well done ladies and thank you forever who put this on u-tube. It also illustrates the use of the organ and the importance of the pumps and foot peddles
I'm sorry but rushed tempi, muddy notes, DOES take away from the natural beauty of the Canon. The other versions that you refer to may be edited from Pachabel's orchestral version, but there has to be continuity in the composer's concept or origin of the composition, otherwise what's the use of performing it? There is NOTHING worse than a musician "guessing" how a composition is to be performed. (The "pumps" are called pistons and those vertical slats of wood are called "pedals.")
Dear Xiaoting, a very amazing execution of one of the most popular piece in classic music world. Your arrangement, about my opinion, is very pleasant. You're a great pipe organ player!
it was not a bad performance. I had to play this same performance for a Recital. I felt like with this, it lacked expression mid point. No engagement of Mixtures and Reeds. I felt the Open Diapason 16' in the pedal could have been saved for midpoint, and used for that point. If that was a bourdon 16', its gotta be the buzziest bourdon i've ever heard. It could be turned down at the toe-holes slightly.

(Pedals, not peddles)

c'est pas la bonne tonalité mais c'est très bien joué bravo .En réalité cette pièce n'est pas si difficile à jouer mais quand meme
The lady in white should be equipped with kalashnikov - the performance would be much better :P
she plays great but the recording is terrible.
