I think the verse was reworked for story purposes. While the scrapped verse is absolute fire, the final one is better because it keeps building and building until Alexander is practically shouting at the top of his lungs about how untouchable he is (and it certainly helps that Zach's delivery gets more and more passionate with each line).
Donovan A S R llloyd does those charechters the best he did both Russian guys in the battle Royale of the Russians just as well. Also kinda similar to hitler

I agree. It shows in both the writing process (Peter and Lloyd are good at writing disses, but Zach's wordplay makes it so much better) and Zach's acting (while Peter and Lloyd have different energies depending on the character, Zach has the same manic energy that he utilizes in different ways-- subtly creepy as Stephen King, pissed off as Wayne Gretzky, arrogant as Voltaire and Alexander)
her vocal performance was on point but she really didn't get into the role at all visually, she just looked awkwardly into the camera and moved her head a bit

He got nickname "terrible" through polish-lithuanian commonwealth, where he fought the wars and killed a lot of common noncombatant people. And since the western world had much more contacts with PLC than with Muscovy, the name stuck.
Meghan was definitely the perfect person to play Catherine. An empress of Russia, from where I am partially descended, and strong female leader portrayed by a woman with the literal voice of an angel. I look up to Meghan and Cath, with Cath being an awesome historical figure, and Meghan being someone I really look up to, because I love to act and sing as well.
I swear Meghan is so stunning in more ways than one. She fit the role so perfectly for their video not just by looks but by style sound and General sass which could only come from royalty.

Because apparently Cthulu is a heavily-popular topic.
Imma go full history buff on Nicepeter real quick. He's right about Catherine the Great except when he said "Come down to Moscow... "Catherine, like every Romanov after Peter the Great lived in the then capital of Russia, St. Petersburg and even went to great extends to turn the city into a real European metropolis. Moscow was far less important in those days... Does it matter? Probably not.
Dear, EpicLloyd and NicePeter. Many people like watching behind the scenes, but they are too short. It would be really awesome to see more behind the scenes like acting, recording, funny moments etc.
1:25 fun fact: although Ivan’s father died when he was 3, his mother when he was 8, he actually had a little brother, Yuri of Uglich. Yuri wasn’t in line for the throne (which is probably why he isn’t talked about) because he was born deaf, but he and Ivan were close growing up because they both felt neglected by the boyars raising them. Yuri was actually once in charge of Russia’s state affairs while Ivan was off in Kazan

The editing on these behind the scenes is astounding, showing in succession the simple process of an idea from the writers room manifesting itself into a line in the actual battle. Love it x
1:29 From what I remember, my history teacher said that Ivan used to be known as Ivan the Noble, a great and kind ruler... for about the first ten years of his reign. Then his wife dies, and he's besotted by such grief and pain that he does a 180 and takes it all out on his subjects. Thus, he becomes known as Ivan the Terrible.
Had to watch the behind the scenes because I was so impressed with the camera work this battle! It's something that never gets the recognition it deserves when they've improved SO MUCH with each season. I loved the shot of Frederick sitting in the chair, so well done. You guys are just killing it, keep up the great work! :)
I think they basing their subjects in there rap battles now based on who will be to rap with them. Hence the flipping od matchup of Bruce banner and Bruce Jenner and Catherine instead of Peter.
+Ultrabot Ultimus see you're a perfect example of why I don't like how they reused boba. Everybody uses him as a fucking example to be unoriginal and to reuse characters. Find somebody they haven't used, don't fuckin reuse them just because they've done it like three times.
Well to be fair the example Boba is a good example of a character to reuse because well, his first appearance wasn't all that impressive. The next time they used him he had a different tone and personality shift that was greatly shown and very much liked. For Abe Lincoln he was used twice but he didn't seem too different. Which is why I didn't mention him. So with that all in mind, they could do this idea of a battle and change the personality of Walt Disney from what they have shown as a hungry businesses man to a more gentler and more kind man that some people thought of and have heard of him as such. I see this as a good battle because of the compilations and some similarities of both people, both these two have never seen where their companies have gone because neither lived long enough to see what they are today, both of their companies hold places in the hearts of many kids, and children that have grown up into adults while growing up with these companies, both companies have had an assortment of problems but never have they gone out of business yet as they are still here, both companies have a large assortment of characters they have brought to many. And yes I know these reasons could be applied to anyone from anyone at their companies, but I see it as a way to use Walt differently from his first appearance in Jim vs Stan, they could make a proper version of Walt that isn't a power obsessed robot that was used for shock value and to represent the corporation now and not himself.
Needs more woman vs woman ERB! Just like how Cleopatra vs Marilyn Monroe. I don't know who to pair some of them but I'm leaving suggestions here: Katniss Everdeen Marie Curie Hillary Clinton (or maybe upload the audio of the cancelled ERB video of her) Avril Lavigne Kim Kardashian Lara Croft (I suggest this should be something against Nathan Drake then Indiana Jones will make an appearance) Amelia Earhart Alice in Wonderland vs Dorothy
+Gryse Blacolar I disagree, as the fictional characters they covered do have a historical background. Darth Vader is famous from being one of the most successful movie franchise. Goku vs Superman is "historical" because Goku is a very popular anime where it allowed others to learn about Japanese culture, and Superman is a very iconic character from America and when people think about American comics, they think superman. I do agree that they have more female battles.
I can't be the only one who thought that Catherine was played by Meghan Trainor, right? I mean, the voice and some of her lines seemed to allude to it being her
Stowecooper1 Yeah, that's what was throwing me off as to whether or not it was her. Call me stereotypical, but they're both large-build women and I don't know by heart what Trainor looks like. Again, my apologies
My sortie's plots were studied and pored over and taught I'd keep the heat of the battle so scorchingly hot I grew my empire borders way more than a lot And I would soar to the top, like the eagle whose feather I would sport In the helmet that I wore as I swatted my many enemies with muscles that were forceful and taut Shattered 'em into pieces like a porcelain pot They would scream until they're hoarse and their voices were shot And I would holler "BUCEPHALUS!", hop up on my horsey and trot off Leave 'em in an unfortunate spot Fold 'em up like an accordion, stop!
The reason why Frederick was called the great: Prussia had greatly increased its territories and became a leading military power in Europe under his rule. He became known as Frederick theGreat (Friedrich der Große) and was affectionately nicknamed Der Alte Fritz ("Old Fritz") by the Prussian and later by all German people. The reason in why Ivan was called the terrible: At the same time his blood thristy habits and cruel personality have made him infamous in history's annals as a lunatic ruler whom even his own people called "Terrible." Ivan IV Vasilyevich (1530-1584), was the first of two children of Basil III and Elena Glinskaya.
@@marcusc9931 no more than most of the European rulers those times. At least he didnt practice numerous executions of his former wives like Henry VIII in England.
@@marcusc9931 not stab but hit with his staff. He wasnt a nice person for sure but he was just like the others at those dark times. But his personality and even nickname (wrongly translated) were and still a great subject to demonize Russia and its history in the West so he gets most of negative attention among other kings in medieval European history.
They didnt use Arnold, they just used that Model of the Terminator, big difference. Also where is the proof that Arnold himself helped them out. I am talking about Arnold Himself vs Sylvester Stallone.

Out of every erb i watch i always come back to this one. This one just shows me the epitome of loving what you do.
I always want stuff like you
Needs more woman vs woman ERB! Just like how Cleopatra vs Marilyn Monroe.
I don't know who to pair some of them but I'm leaving suggestions here:
Katniss Everdeen
Marie Curie
Hillary Clinton (or maybe upload the audio of the cancelled ERB video of her)
Avril Lavigne
Kim Kardashian
Lara Croft (I suggest this should be something against Nathan Drake then Indiana Jones will make an appearance)
Amelia Earhart
Alice in Wonderland vs Dorothy
You guys maybe should try some characters from cartoons or animes too since you got games already covered.
I love Alice vs Dorothy, and also the suggestions of Kim vs Queen Elizabeth (Royal families) and Katniss vs Elsa (Fire peasant vs Ice royalty)
+Lhrocks44 Goku is from*
Would love to see one with Marie Curie xD
It was a shame that you had Pompeii killed, his verse would have been interesting
Well he was beheaded before he gave a speech...
Pompey
Also the actor can't rap
Wow, Meghan Tonjes is beautiful. Such a nice voice, too.
I just love seeing how happy you guys are making these
This battle is the greatest in my opinion. You guys did an amazing job!!! Keep up the amazing work!
I can't be the only one who thought that Catherine was played by Meghan Trainor, right? I mean, the voice and some of her lines seemed to allude to it being her
***** Well, I hadn't heard of her. My apologies.
+Awsome2464 not to mention she looks nothing like Megan trainor
Stowecooper1 Yeah, that's what was throwing me off as to whether or not it was her. Call me stereotypical, but they're both large-build women and I don't know by heart what Trainor looks like. Again, my apologies
it aint stereotypical. they are both fat girls. dont need to worry about being PC its just who they are.
lol no, if anything, she looks like Mary Lambert
2:50 is why I come back to this video
R. L. Stine vs H. P. Lovecraft
I need more Fred.
Zach is one of the best rappers on erb.
i love her SO much, I never expected her in this battle x)
...please marry me meghan..
I want to hear the extended cut of Alexander’s rap
Charlemagne vs Angela Merkel
Lol.
***** Why?
Don't waste Karl the Great like that..
indeed, Karl the great/Charlemagne deserve a better opponent. Bismark ? Elisabeth I ? Churchill ? De Gaulle ?
+kreeper face Alexander or Julius Caeser would've been great opponents.
This is my favorite battle from you guys yet.
The way Peter said "yo" at 6:01 was fuckin hilarious
Does anyone know what Zach says at about 1:53 after he says "I'm an immortal, a military authority"?
My sortie's plots were studied and pored over and taught
I'd keep the heat of the battle so scorchingly hot
I grew my empire borders way more than a lot
And I would soar to the top, like the eagle whose feather I would sport
In the helmet that I wore as I swatted my many enemies with muscles that were forceful and taut
Shattered 'em into pieces like a porcelain pot
They would scream until they're hoarse and their voices were shot
And I would holler "BUCEPHALUS!", hop up on my horsey and trot off
Leave 'em in an unfortunate spot
Fold 'em up like an accordion, stop!
2:35 Fredrick the great Xd
The reason why Frederick was called the great:
Prussia had greatly increased its territories and became a leading military power in Europe under his rule. He became known as Frederick theGreat (Friedrich der Große) and was affectionately nicknamed Der Alte Fritz ("Old Fritz") by the Prussian and later by all German people.
The reason in why Ivan was called the terrible:
At the same time his blood thristy habits and cruel personality have made him infamous in history's annals as a lunatic ruler whom even his own people called "Terrible." Ivan IV Vasilyevich (1530-1584), was the first of two children of Basil III and Elena Glinskaya.
Nobody in Russia called Ivan Grozniy "the Terrible". It was just a dumb translation by European scholars of that time. "Grozniy" means "formidable".
@@PaulV. but he did get violently paranoid after his wife died, didn't he?
@@marcusc9931 no more than most of the European rulers those times. At least he didnt practice numerous executions of his former wives like Henry VIII in England.
@@PaulV. And not only that, her body was later examined and it turns out he was right - she really had been poisoned.
Still, he did stab his son too.
It's nice to see you guys having fun while doing your job :)
Pompey looking like he was about to spit hot fucking lava!
Arnold Schwarzenegger vs Sylvester Stallone please. I been suggesting this battle since Season 1
they already used the terminator, arnold helped them with it
They didnt use Arnold, they just used that Model of the Terminator, big difference. Also where is the proof that Arnold himself helped them out. I am talking about Arnold Himself vs Sylvester Stallone.
Watch the video, he does the end slate "epic rap battles of history".
The entire battle would be "Augh raylgh blahgh"
That is the whole point of the battle lol
Anyone else feel like this was their first good one in a while?
I liked austin powers vs James Bond
G.R.R Martin vs J.R.R. Tolkien was pretty amazing tbh
Martin vs tolkien
gordon vs child
jefferson vs douglass
bond vs powers
na I enjoyed all of this season, with only 2 be ok.
This season so far has been perfect
I can't imagine how expensive that dress was for Catherine the Great
Best battle ever!
The beginning of Frederick the Great is fu**ng awesome
