@@sykes2698 i speak Low German specifically a dialect that is mixed with Danish, Frisian and Dutch. I can understand the song perfectly in all the versions. I cant understand Modern High German very well but this is can. I think it has to do with High Middle German being closer to the common origin High and Low German branches share

Surprisingly I bought the one DVD QNTAL has come out with a couple years ago without knowing anything about them; not even knowing their music. Talk about a plesant discovery!!! Too bad there isn't any more videos of their concerts about; at least of the same quality. Fantastic concert!!!

walther von der Vogelweyde war seiner Zeit weit voraus. ich mag die Version, trotz des Synthies....die Stimme und die Wortwahl macht es zu einem Leckerbissen.
Da geht einem Mittelalterfreund das Herz auf :-) Viele Varianten auf TH-cam zu sehen aber Diese Interpretation gefällt mir persönlich neben einer in Latein noch am besten ... leider hier ohne den mittelhochdeutschen Text.
Ist doch egal, wer das Lied singt. Hauptsache ist, dass das Liedgut aus dem MA (hier W von der Vogelweide glaub ich) weitergegeben wird. Qntal setzt dem Ganzen aber die Krone auf :-)
@mikeru1980 Das Original kommt meines Wissens wohl von Walter von der Vogelweide und ist einfach klasse. Qntal bzw Estampie habens aber am besten "gecovert". Stimmlich und instrumental einfach wunderschön. Danke für den Upload :)

Eigentlich krass wenn man bedenkt, dass damals nur Männer singen durften. Frauen maximal als Zeitvertreib oder wenn sie in einem Konvent lebten. Ich mag Minne, aber zu 99% muss sie von Frauen gesungen werden, sonst kann ich es nicht anhören.
Manche Wörter benutzt man im sächsischen Dialekt auch heute noch:) Wie z.b hier ließ er sich "rehne" taufen. "Wir sprechen das genau so hier in sachsen rehne:) du bist dor ni ganz rehne in dar birne xD
+Ingo Gentsch Weil 'Hochdeutsch' aus seiner historischen Entwicklung heraus heute falsch gebraucht wird. Eigentlich müsste man den Terminus Standarddeutsch gebrauchen. Mit hochdeutschen Dialekten sind die Südregionen gemeint, die nördlichen werden mit Niederdeutsch betitelt.
Habe ich mal im BR gesehen. Hochdeutsch hat sich von Bayern nach Mitteldeutschland und Brandenburg ausgebreitet. Dort wurde wohl noch slawisch oder wendisch geprochen. Das HRR war ein Vielvölker Reich.
