Voice quality matters a lot for singer even more than his tallent. Voice quality of Udit Narayan was much beautiful than other singers in his era, that's why Udit Narayan got more songs then Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam, Abhijeet, Sukhwinder & Vinod. Just like Alka Yagnik did the same in female category. In the female section, Alka Yagnik had the most beautiful voice that's why she got more songs than Anuradha, Kavita, Sadhna, etc. The whole thing is " voice quality ". A beautiful voice matters more than your talent. Those who had the most beautiful voice they got the opportunity to sing the most songs and this is justified too. This should not surprise anyone.

That is the main reason, Rafi Saab, the greatest legend never used to talk to anybody about anything. His entire concentration was only on songs. Still there are some people in Bollywood who say that they never heard Rafi Saab talking. They only knew his voice while singing. So he kept himself aloof from all controversies. When some gossip mongers used to talk about producers, singers, music directors, Rafi Saab used to completely ignore them. Never indulged in any conversation whatsoever. "Jaisi Karni, Waisi bharni". There are other singers who did similar things with super stars. It is very unfortunate that they are sitting at home. Soon people will forget them.
