I got a chance to go to the interstate barbecue place about roughly 10 years ago and I tell you that BBQ was badass from start to finish now I'm going to also share something else with you he has a sister that had lived in San Dimas California and had a barbecue spot call Nadine's JD's BBQ and you can also find the episode on the called Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and his sister had made the ribs the same way that he did but when I have went down there to go get a plate unfortunately she had passed but let me tell you the interstate BBQ food is awesome a BBQ pulled pork sandwich from beginning to end and it don't get any better than that.👍🏻🇺🇸🔥

How long do you cook ‘em? Hell, IDK, we cook ‘em until they’re done? My personal BBQ philosophy in a nutshell.. if I wanna smoke at 160, then I’ll smoke at 160. If I wanna smoke at 275, then I’ll smoke at 275. Will I use Sauce. Idk. What style of meat am I smoking? Texas? No sauce. Just Salt and Pepper. St. Louis? Sure, I’ll whip up a savory tomato sauce. N Carolina? Chili flakes and vinegar on a pulled pork sammich with COLESLAW. South Carolina? Then bring on the mustard. Kentucky? Haul out the lamb, or even better, the mutton and whip up a vinegary-Worcestershire blend and dip that mother until your heart is content. ‘Bama Que? Bring out the mayonnaise and the whole chicken. California? Roll out the tri-tip and the strawberries and the French bread. Any way I wanna ‘cue, THATS HOW I’ll ‘cue! Shit. Sometimes I’ll make things up in my mind. Salt, pepper, paprika, brown sugar,soy sauce, and home-made ketchup. Lemon wedge and parsley garnish with a side of rosemary and thyme-accented mashed potatoes. It’s MY smoker and I’ll use it any way I please. 🇺🇸 🍖 🥩 🥔 🍟
We cook every year at the Crawford county fall festival in Robinson Illinois. My brother and i along with other family members made our way down to Memphis for what we thought would be the best BBQ of our lives, not! A&E BBQ in Memphis was the most horrible bbq i'v ever had the displeasure of tasting because it what freezer burnt and had no rub on it at all!!!!! Now Patsy's bbq sandwich was very good! The rest were just decent bbq joints.
Truth,I`m from Missouri and me and my son was going to Florida,well ,before that i found a book here in Missouri all about Neely`s BBQ. so we decide to stop there to eat. Ghetto neighborhood, Bars on the Doors and Windows and all Black folks everywhere. But that was ok because we wanted the best BBQ. Horrible BBQ and we was totally disappointed, Taste and Quality of the food was poor. Promise ,we will never eat there again. Horrible.
All of them are great. Mr. Neely's Interstate is where I go whenever I'm home. Good friends, great barbecue..

Alabama barely rates on BBQ, on the national scale .. Not saying there isn't some good BBQ down there, but definitely not the best.
