That little slam the heel move before I start my swing has really helped me!!!!!!!

Over the last few months I have lost a bunch of distance. As I watched this presentation this morning, I realized that I have been swinging back way too slow in order to set myself for a certain position at the top and not get laid off on the backswing. can’t wait until tomorrow and I can try freeing up my backswing and winding up again like I used to. I think this is an early Christmas present for me. Thank you.

I've been guilty of position orientation for 25 years..and i REALLY needed to hear the gyroscopic statement. Because the more i tried to swing on plane... The worse i got. The Ernie els revelation was perfect too. What we perceive isn't always the case.

Address and finish are positions, maybe you could say something similar for the end of the backswing, but its motion we seek, not positions!

Hi, fantastic concept to go up instead of thinking going back. I really feel staying way more centered! Waiting for part 2! Thanks for all these videos.

John - the three videos - windup, transition and downswing are great. I’ve watched them multiple times. Find it very hard to trigger the swing like you do. What do you suggest is best way to train windup? Second question: are speed training devices useful in training the fundamentals?

The Stack System is the best out there! There is a link in the description. Try pushing off your lead foot to start the windup.

HI John, what you are saying here makes a lot of sense. Two things though; when I just bring the club up naturally like this, I find that my hands do their own thing and I cross the line at the top (not good). Also, should we be consciously setting the wrists early when doing this, ala the "chopstick training aide" video? Any help appreciated, this game is driving me crazy..

@@JohnDunigan Inconsistent contact of all kinds, the most prevalent being a push right or even a shank.
