The rules of the competition 'Шоумаскгоон' (ShowMASKgoon): 9 winners of the previous shows 'The Mask', 'Superstar' and 'You are Super' take part in this new format (9 episodes) and have to sing in 9 categories.The guest of honor (a different one in each episode) who sits with the candidates also awards a bonus point to his favorite.
Categorys: folk hit, song at the end of the 20th century, Soviet song, pop hit , Song of your choice, new music, song from cartoon or film, rock hit, Grammy.
At the same time, the participants are also the jury and have to evaluate each other (2-9 points). You cannot give yourself any points. The 9 participants have to prepare the known songs that have been assigned to them for themselves and for the stage. This also includes pre-recordings of the backround singing.

Diana doesn't just have to sing dramatic ballads and constantly demonstrate her unique vocal skills. It is versatile and it can show that in this competition with the 9 categories.
It's strange. We foreigners love this song by Diana but the Russian friends reject this song and even Diana probably doesn't like it. The original song has over 223 million views. Where do they come from ??? ... but what matters is what makes me feel Diana. So much energy and joie de vivre ... everyone is dancing and having a lot of fun. What more do you want?
... But Diana in last place? That is completely incomprehensible to me. I would have expected at least 3rd place. It seems that the other participants are afraid of Diana's strength. A bad guy who thinks badly!
What did the people who invented this show think? That the participants assess themselves fairly and as impartially as possible? Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a perfect world. Everyone only thinks of themselves ... I still hope that Diana will sing this song for us often. It's just fun to dance.

I’ve heard some people disliking that she sang such a “pop” song (the competition chooses the songs, each fase a different style), but I can tell you, at least here in the americas (south, center and north Americas) this song would be a hit. And she sang it beautifully and was so joyful!
The organiser's choose 8 of the 9 songs, the performer themselves have their own 1 choice & I'm not sure if Diana has performed her choose song yet.

@@lucianaetrigan As I understand it, Diana's own choice will be in the last episode, #9. In #7 & #8 she has to sing a Pop Hit & a Soviet song. From the teaser for #7, the song is called "Crow" by Linda, released in 1996, the video of which looks quite gothic.

Hi Jacqueline, I enjoyed Diana's performance as much as your reaction.
I appreciate the versatility of Diana. Not only in this "ShowMaskGoon" (SMGO) but also in her appearances since she was a little girl of maybe 5 years until now.
In this round 2 of SMGO Diana finished last. I don't understand how this is possible after seeing all of the performances of the other participants.
Maybe it's to keep the tension high for the show's viewers. I have no other explanation.
All in all it definitely is a very well produced, fun and entertaining show.
