Yes, the two 7ah batteries were used for traction on this test. But when the model is finished it will be powered by four 125ah semi-traction batteries. I'm hoping to run the finished loco before the end of the season.
I'd be interested in knowing what that test speed would equate to on a standard sized set, as it appears that a number of things are on test here; track integrity and rail alignment, although bearing lube crossed my mind too. I love all such "trivia"!
So... on a modern loco does the bogie pivot between the axles or on top? im talking about a 3 axle bogie here, obviously 2 axle you put it between. the axle sets
Four batteries!! That'll have plenty of tractive weight then! Am hoping to attend the September 'Friends of NSMEE' rally so may see you there, we'll most likely bring with us Mike's M7 Sri Lankan loco again.
Apparently I've already watched this since I have liked it. Must've been one of the first videos I watched on yt like 5 years ago maybe.
Wow that's some remarkably smooth and stable track for a miniature railway!
I want that train in my backyard now!!!
Kuntuuull
@@owel3478 GK sopan lu mau negara kita dianggap GK sopan hahh
the sound is beauty.. :-)
Acoustics engineered to perfection. Great movement of toy train on the race tiny tracks
I wish my yard was big enough to fit that, it can only fit a small o scale layout
Wow, those sounds of wheels are very good :)
Love it! this is so awesome! thank you "for the ride around the track" ... that was fun and enlightening.
I remember the M7 well, its visited Ruddington at least twice. The weight of the Class 40 should be around 1/4 ton.
Nice to see British Rail is doing some reasearch as well.

I can't imagine the speed omg 😳😳
Yes🙄
That would be some beast....and would require quite some sound system! Will be watching this development
It sounds so clean and new or satisfying
for a moment i thought i m in heaven
That was interesting to see how bogeys work under a train that's not there so to speak. Nice job. And wow what a speed.😃
BR blue intercity logo. I might have it running by the start of 2012 season (Easter)
What a train set!
How cool ist that? A nursery for baby trains!
Love this ! I always wonder how the front wheels don't jump the rails tho weight will probably keep the bogies on the rails 👍
The bogies are already heavy
Blimey! You're motoring pretty fast! Are you using the two grey batteries (seen at 1:50) for traction? Look forward to seeing the finished loco.
what motors were used
and how many
im interested in building a fast yet powerful loco
Do the wheels steer on the curves
is this. a model train set... in real life. i need this
i just love trains
FARES DZ me too
Same man. One of the greatest inventions of man.
Seem to work allright. What was being tested?
Awesome salute to your talent
You should do a build update for us I interested to see the finished locomotive

This even sounds like a big real train XD

You have to apply clothoids to the curves.
Abrupt transition straight to circle realy very dangerous.
Make a vedio of making the wheels and track
Looks like if u took apart a turbine gas locomotive
Nice long track
Woa! Nice speeds!!
Its a toy train or passenger train
We’re thinking on making a mini loco we don’t have an idea how to make bogies could you show us thanks
0:28 anyone saw thomas diesel?
Wow this is amazing 😍😍
..wow...24 volt dc...right?...
looks like some Garry's Mod Trainbuild experiments we do...
Fast ride ever ❤️
👍SUPPER FAST TRAIN 👍
Do you have any blue prints on them?
Can I live there?
Who needs a train? That looks like fun.

POV: YOU SIT THERE WATCHING SOME NICE VIEW AROUND YOU
Muito bom e interessante. Abraço! Rio de Janeiro Brazil
Did you lay the track with scale equipment too?
Beautiful
Very nice
Full satisfaction
So, what is the objective/pupose of this? or just line check?
To test the function of the power bogies before building the rest of the locomotive

why wouldn't it work the wheels are round
good👍👍👍👍
7 1/4 zoll or 5 Zoll?
What gauge
How did you make the 47 boiges?
wow awesome😍😍😍😍
Idk why but i want to see this shit going „redline“ on a straight railway
So, where is the finished product?
Peterborough ?
What size motors did you use? I have the same idea just in 7.5 inch
I Used six 24v 250w motors made in China by "Unite" They are very cheap and reliable.
Okay, I will have to look into that, My power plant is a 10,000 watt generator head.
which type of motor you use...
Chinese scooter motors. Unite MY1016 24v 250w. There are 3 in each bogie. Lots available on ebay.
Its not just me, they are indeed really tiny, right?
Nick Drozd yes they are scale model size
Bravo
You're not related to Dave Hollingworth are you?
No, sorry, never heard of him.
Woooowwwww
I want to drive in this
It can clog on for A battery operated train it sure has got some powerful motors to propel it down the track lol 🤣
Electric train dam it fast
Where's the steam???
Mattywho lol its diesel
aaaa nice !!!! :D
I'll prefer an E2 class LBSCR/LBSC
Muito bom
make an electric locomotive out of it, please
see my other videos. there is one of my class 40 running
Nic
Oh yes
faster lol thumbs right up👍
What is the speed in miles/kilometers?
moncy suresh Why centimeters? Then the imperial speed measurement should also be done in inches instead of miles.
1:48 says 8 something. So i guess 8mph or 13 kmh.
If the scale is 1:4, then it corresponds to 32 mph or 52 km/h.
candreel lol
*very bagus*
帅
I expected this to be real class 40 bogies not toy ones.
Wheee!
2x speed lol
Whoua
well that was exciting...zzzzzz

Scam. It's toy trains.
