In summary, get the japanese version or the minipla
... all these things have a HUUGE "Mc Donald's Happy Meal Toy" vibes and that's sad.
Definitely not worth the $72.99 price tag. They tried justifying it by adding extra parts and making a megazord out of the lion zord alone and it just doesn’t work. Especially when you can import the boj version for $10 more. Great review!!
Glad to see your doing ok dude, after that post in your Community I started to get worried, I didn't wanted another great Toku TH-camr to end up like Japanime, I hope whatever your going through it's either in the past or you can overcome it, you can take a long break if that is what it takes 🙏
What happened to Japanime?
Idk why Hasbro is strugling so much with the zords. This should be natural for them thanks to their decades with transformers.
You answered your own question. All the good engineers are working on Transformers.
@@benjaminwiseman6567 You think they'd invest more into Power Rangers considering how much money the spent to own the franchise.
@ShadowEclipex they spend money on the brand so they don't have a transformer competitor.
@@checob224 A pesimistic way of looking at it, but wouldn't be the first time a company has done something like this.
@ShadowEclipex they tried coming out of the gate strong with PR. Beast Morphers was fairly well done with a lot of connections to previous seasons. They came in strong with Lightning Collection in the beginning as well. But over time, I think Hasbro realized PR isn't the easily milkable cash cow they thought it would be. Same thing Disney realized before they off loaded the property.
I kinda wish the globe had shiny paint and not a matte-like metallic finish.
Imo my big problem with this and my idea as to why it looks so cheap is because we aren’t guaranteed to get the other limbs, Ryu, Gigant Houoh, and the power up. I feel like if we were gonna get the rest of them Hasbro would have put some more effort into this. Maybe we will, but imo your best bet is to just get the Kyuranger stuff if you want this and the rest of the mecha. Shame since Dino Fury had such a good mecha line when comparing to the Ryusoulger stuff.
Based on the Dino Fury Zord retail prices in our country, this would be around 106 USD in the Philippines.
Even if Kyurenoh didn't exist (because honestly that thing is a mid light and sound show) and the context of Sentai was ignored, this is still a downgrade from what Dino Fury had for in terms of engineering.
It's way worse than Kyurenoh. Kyurenoh don't have waist movement cause the electronic and light inside but have both the head and arm articulation. For Sentai Fans if they want a zord with Articulation, they just get the minipla (model kit). Kyurenoh Minipla removed the light and sound for great articulation
Kyuren-Oh Chameleon did have the tongue! Really nice touch.
Each individual mech having the same functions as the Japanese version was a very nice surprise! I'm starting understand the price, a $30 Bandai America version would've cut all that out.
@@MidniteWv4Nah, keeping something like a tongue does not justify charging $72 for this. That might hold some weight if the rest of the quality was higher, but it’s extremely cheap
@@Assasin2 Yeah, but we can at least see where the money is more distributed to. Leans more into having all these functions rather than more paint to actually make it look good. It's a Hasbro trend.
For $30 this is a good toy but for$72?? I can get the Japanese for cheapest.
I think it would be a fun idea to rerelease old zords with the link pegs so you could have a huge mishmash of zords like the rangerslayers megazord it would allow people to get older mega zords but let kids get creative to make there own thing like legos
Wonder if that sled is future-proofing in the event the release a US version of Orion Battler.
Could see the sled sitting over the top of Orion similar to the Thunderzords on Tor.
When i saw it i was thinking of the Houou Base, but it kinda makes sense...in a way
Giving a heads up that Bargain Hunt has the Lighting Collection Snizzard on clearance for like $4 dollars ( 75% off 17 dollars) , I picked it up in an East Tennessee store a couple of days ago.
They charging sentai dx price for a ninja steel dx quality mech
Its not well made, at max a 30 dollar megazord, Reminds me heavily of the Overdrive Megazord from BOA. I would say its fine as a toy but not the retail price. Hasbro definitely has some stuff to answer at Pulse con though lol.
Overdrive still CLEARS this. Also, idk about you i wouldnt pay more than $5 for this $30 is insulting
I don't think Power Rangers will survive Hasbro. They're cratering it. Like, when people get their product, their toy, the first thing out of their mouths shouldn't be "It's not that bad", like, when we were young and getting the Dino Megazord, and Dragonzord, we weren't going "Well, it's not that bad". Like, Hasbro feels like they're farming their customers, like, they got people hooked on Lightning Collection, they began with quality, they were like "This is very special and each one is crafted and we paid attention to detail, and all for $20" and then it devolved into this downward slope of quality, errors, like, they got people hooked and then went "Well, they're hooked, they'll buy it anyway, also let's jack up the prices" which I think is a really messed up way to do business. With this Megazord, I gave it the benefit of the doubt, even pre-defended it, but... there are no excuses for what they've presented their fans. $72... is just robbery, like, the MMPR Movie McDonalds Toys looked as good as these. Hasbro has just gotten so insanely cheap. Say what you will about Bandai, but they would have produced a better version of this Megazord for $30. And I hope the fandom eventually wakes up and goes "This is not okay" or begins to speak with their wallets. I would definitely go with the Kyurenoh. It's just sad, American Kids & Collectors deserve quality product, but now they're given the bare minimum and are like "Well, we deserve this, it's not that bad"
EXACTLY!!!! i walked into a target today and the standard lightning collection figure cost nearly $30…. like dawg was it not just $18 3 years ago???? mind you, with the plastic free packaging your gambling with missing accessories, and limbs. dino fury gave me genuine hope for the pr line but were going backwards
The same thing happened to Marvel Legends
tbf, inflation is a bitch. I don't think the price jackups are entirely hasbros fault.
@tokutoomuch inflation doesn't make 30 dollars to 80 for a main line. You might as well go get the original kyurenoh.
@@WGPhil-uw5cs i was mainly talking about lightning collection. i have no excuse for the megazord lol
I’m soooo glad I have the original Japanese version of this Zord. The audacity of Hasbro to charge $70 plus for this knock off. The figures better be good or I will pass on the whole line.
Yeah i really struggled getting the Cosmic Shark onto the Battle Sled too. The instructions that come with it also aren't very clear, and seem to suggest you drop it in from the top. But no, you have to slide it in from the front, but it took me like 30minutes to figure that out and get it sliding in their nicely - and then I think that notch further back on the Shark zord's spot on the sled is supposed to have the block on the side of the Kyutama fit into it, to secure the unbalanced load, but it doesn't really fit too well and the block on the Kyutama is a little too big to properly go in there, at least with my toy.
I will say though that despite some of these weird sizing and design combining issues, and the simple paint job, the toys do feel surprisingly robust. Clearly they were made with rough 'n' tumble from kids playing with them in mind, rather than collectivity...which is a shame because the Dino Fury range did seem to strike a nice balance between the two there, but I do get it.
I do feel like for clarity's sake, it would have been nice if the second bonus Kyutama that comes with the toy so you can do the Lion Zord Warrior mode, should have been Pink instead of just a duplicate Gold(/Yellow) Orb. Would have kinda made more sense seems we know they'll still be piloting these zords in the Dino Fury suits at the start of the series, and if Amelia (as Dino Fury Pink) is manning the Red Cosmic Lion at the start of the series, so it would have made more sense for it's two Orbs to be Pink and Red, instead of Yellow and Red.
I'm glad I invested in the Kyuranger mecha a few years ago, this is not the worst thing but it doesn't look great. a shame. Thanks for the video
Honestly the grey plastic is really letting the Zords down like there's not much paint difference between the originals but they use actually nice looking plastic that doesn't look cheap.
I definitely think they should have gone with coloured plastic for the Orbs because I assume they won't be using the cockpits so it wouldn't make sense to be translucent especially because I bet they hadn't even fully designed the shows version with such a quick turnaround.
I do wish we knew what they were adapting so I could grab the originals and thank god I did because I got the original for way less than this.
This is my problem too, I actually like the matte finish of the Kyutama and I'm used to PR toys having less paint apps in general but if they were gonna have so much grey plastic like there is, it would've been nice for it to painted or more silvery or something. Would've helped justify this toy's price tag more than something like the dock it comes with.
It really is just a simpler Kyurenoh with everything good that comes with that. But man, you can get Onitaijin for around 100 and KingOhger for around 60-70. And they're functionally better toys/designs.
HECK, even at scalper prices, you can probably get the minipla version of this guy for around 70 and I'd still say that's more worth the price point than this.
lmfaoo they definitely could fave packaged the megazord fully
combined. had this figure had more articulation the price would have made a bit more sense, but bandai gave us zorrds like this for half the price. i might actually have to get the japanese version cause oml🌚
I would like to publicly apologize to bandai America for criticizing you so hard please come back
Some may wish BoA still had the toy license, but something we can't forget is the company making a toy version of the Ninja Steel Lion Fire Zord cheap, enormous, and worth a fortune just about no one thought they would like to purchase for that much money.
It's annoying. I like it, but not at that price. I looked into importing it from Amazon US to the UK and it came to just under £85. Insane. I know for a fact if we get it officially, the price will be that or worse. Feels like they're trying to tank the line/franchise. I've seen Transformers with higher quality than this going for half the price. It's ridiculous.
Very happy with my old minipla Kyurenoh.
If they even make fern’s orange scorpion zord into a toy they better not price it at $25
LMFAOO they’ll probably throw in som random arm pieces to inflate the price like how they did with the blaze zord
@@justinlewis4005 true
It'll end up being 50
Dimetro zord was released with a $25 price point
@@shortstopmotions There is a significant size difference tho, tbh hasbro should have made a separate class of for auxiliary zords around the $15 or even $20 range cause having all the zords costing the same price doesn’t always make sense with what you’re getting
I bet that it is that 72 to keep that price range. I hope these are still at the $50 total price ($25 for each like the other DF zords) in normal retail.
19:54
Only thing I can say is the hidden arms are a nice touch
Hy Josh tbh not a fan on the Hasbro aproche of that Zord. I bought the JP Version a while back for like 5-10 dollars more then Hasbro is asking and i highly recommend if you really want a Cosmic Fury Zord get the Bandai Japan Toy. it is round about the same price. Yeah it is a brick but that is sadly with most of these for over 30 years now but hey Hasbros Version is a Brick as well. I seen some comparison pictures on Twitter with the Japan and Hasbro Version and Bandais Version is way superior then Hasbros. Hasbros version has no lights and sounds is smaller then the Japan Version and it looks so much worse then the Japan toy. Sorry but it looks so cheap and then they ask 72,99$ for it no thank you. Thank You also for the review very detailed as always ^^
The platform that you get in this box remind me of the Orion battler top half.
Clearly intended to be a “Cosmic Zord Assault Team”
The bull has opening mouth and you didn't realized 😢
Can you put the full megazord on the stand
They really just shot the sentai and said 😃
I guess the Zords are interesting but not the best but i would by them individually
Thanks for spend your money for reviewing this
Uhhhh Nooo I knew that was gonna happen. 😬 19:55
first when you form the megazord you are supposed to fold in the thrusters. easy pass just have to get Gigant Houou to complete my collection, i am glad i was smart and decided to get the superior Japanese merch due to the pattern of Hasbro inability to complete a zord line
At least has currently been marked down to $55.
There’s no way that is real no way 7:36
My is arriving Monday
I like it just think I'll wait for a price drop
honest
I will be mad if the fandom says we are too cheap for asking this to be 40 or 45 USD
I am fine with 75
if the Megazord itself have more gimmicks or sounds
this looks like a 30 USD toy, like the Ninja Steel Megazord mostly
and with how it holds together, I can't accept paying 80 for a product that doesn't look the price it got....
one thing is sure, I have more to spend on Transformers ( Legacy Evolution Armada Optimus Prime, and Legacy Transmetal 2 Megatron being better choices honestly )
Is a battle mode
I think you liking this even somewhat is kinda crazy
This seems so weird for 75$
Anyone who says its not bad is a liar and shouldn't call themselves a fan
hot take
i Love this
should be cheaper, but i love it.
So they recreated the Thunderzord assault team here
Hasbro messed it up again, I’m waiting until the get back the lightning collection and if not well I’m going to get all Bandai stuff instead
Do a comparison
i think the zords might shrink down and stay with the rangers like in zyuohger
Might get the smaller Zords just to have more options for my Dino Fury Zords. I blame the Sentai more then Hasbro for the design thou. You can only do so much with that gimmick
Nah, this is entirely Hasbro abs we shouldn’t be giving them a pass. I don’t care for the Sentai design either, but this is an extremely cheap toy that is massively overpriced and there’s no guarantee Hasbro is gonna even release auxiliary zords, making this price point even worse
The yellow thing is a bird
Oh No
no electronics ! the brick system also works 😹
Holy moley! At that price you could just go and find a Kyurenoh to buy!
Just buy Sentai toys, at this point this is highway robbery
This is the skip leg day Megazord 18:22
😎 cool
kyuranger is hire quality compared to cosmic fury i would still watch but dont buy the toy.
is Cosmic Fury just gonna be Kyuranger!?!?!?!?!?!
Besides the Ranger suits, yes
@@anishsingh2848
And some of the villains.
@@dylansharp8471 true
Though I think some of the more important villains are getting adapted like the generals
I have the Minipla KyurenOh and this just does not compare at all
Ain't no way that's 72$💀
ikr
A lot of money for... junk! I hate it, and I think Hasbro hated it too.
I got the power rangers cosmic fury morpher today
I wouldnt care if this was $10 this is the WORST MEGAZORD TOY EVER.
Ninja Steel takes that title.
That is shocking for power ranger fans .....
I'm so sorry but i really hate this thing. i did enjoy the dino fury zords and bought all of them but what is that? this is just another reason why i'm not excited for cosmic fury. it looks cheap, it doesn't even has much articulation and we are back to a brick. a 70$ brick. power rangers is getting exhausting. they did so much good things during dino fury the only thing about cosmic fury that didn't got me disappointed ist Amelia as red ranger. i'm so sick of pr right now
anyways, thank you for the video :)
wow. and i thought the zords from dino fury were bad. these look terrible. i've bought every mainline zord for over a decade, but i may have to skip these. if i can get 'em half off i will. with the way hasbro cheaped out on everything with these zords, the price tag is shocking. these would be overpriced at $40. don't get me wrong, i thought similar things about the last series 5 piece set, but at least there it felt like more of a complete package, here it just feels insulting.
Damn, this really sucks
Dude the kyurenoh minipla is miles better than whatever this is, wtf hasbro doing with this? I mean dino furry zord is good but now this?
Wow, that is expensive. I want that Megazord 😎👍
This looks cheap the Japanese version looks better
Easy pass, just bought the original from Japan for less than 60.
Kyuren-Oh: Crap Edition
Kurenoh is better
This is...sad to watch
I'm sorry, but these suck. The chameleon is kind of cute, but that's all it has going for it. It looks bad and cheap in every way possible, and it has worse articulation than Megazords from 20 years ago.
I might just get the cosmic fury figures action figures like the 5 inch figures are like the standard action figures for cosmic fury and didn’t really like the cosmic fury morphed megazord This video is sad for me to watch. I disagree ending. This is the cheapest megazord ever. It’s like we’re going back to Bandai era
Bandai screwed up the (Super) Ninja Steel toyline's qc, after doing well with the Dino (Super) Charge toyline's qc.
This sucks for $72... Hasbro over charging for stuff that isn't worth it again..
Yeah this toys crap waita go Hasbro 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Worst megazord ever
Like the toy ? Or like the whole Megazord as an entity in general?
@@anishsingh2848 the toy
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Looks downgrade.
This is not worth money.
Hardly anything this company puts out is worth the money anymore.
@@omegashenron8
I kinda doubt that.
@@dylansharp8471 Most of the figures Hasbro puts out are full of repaints, re-use, have an extreme lack of paint, lack of accessories and are just lazy releases more often than not and arent worth the 25-30+ dollars they want. Not to mention the QC issues like figures assembled incorrectly, missing parts, gummy joints, frozen joints that aren't worth the I'm not saying they can't make good stuff and haven't made good stuff but as of the past years, they rarely ever do.
Idk what everyone is so upset about. Power Rangers is finally being Power Rangers. This is probably the first time since MMPR that we're not just cutting up a show from Japan. This is great news. Let super Sentai continue as Super Sentai. Let Power Rangers do it's own thing. This is amazing news. We can get Soo many good storylines out of this. I am proud of Hasbro for having the balls to do this. It needed to be done for Power Rangers to continue.
You can't say power rangers should be its own thing while continuing to profit off of mmpr which is based off sentai and using sentai zords and helmets for cosmic fury. If power rangers wants to be its own they thing shouldn't profit off the past power ranger seasons and have to build their own sets for zord fights.
Hasbro is charging 70 to 80 dollars for a mainline zord despite the quality being a bandai of America neosaban zord.
Exactly, either go completely original or just adapt the entire Sentai every year, since they usually do it better.
@@WGPhil-uw5cs your logic makes 0 sense lol.
@niccamp7934 how? They can't expect to charge almost a hundred dollars for a kids line.
@@WGPhil-uw5cs I'm not even referring to the crazy price for this Zord. I'm referring to Power Rangers being it's own thing. They can basically make whatever show they want and use whatever villains they want now that they aren't limited by what Super Sentai did. This is the best news for this dying franchise. I'm personally excited to see how they pad the 10 episodes. We could get an RPM type story.
The lack of paint on the face alone is unforgiveable and those metallic matte balls look horrible next to the clear ones. They took a mid megazord and made it even more mid. Zord Link is also stupid because why is the Ryosoulger lego gimmick carrying over to other megazords 🤮
