I honestly have a soft spot for the cosmic fury toys, the morpher is a little weird but it’s cool in most of it’s features, the Megazord is also neat looking, people talk about how great the original 90’s toys were but they had the same issues as this Megazord, they were big and blocky with little to no articulation.
$70 for the US toy?! I think I payed around that much for the Japenese one with lights and sound!

I dont mind it being a lesser version, what I do care about is why the price is so high, I cant see £70 in value, £35 at the most

@wolkaiserdrake9946 yeah ik it's bad enough we didn't get all the zords for dino fury and Beast morphers but there's a pretty high chance none of the other zords are gonna get released, and if any do probably just ryuteioh for zenith ranger but no pink, gold, silver, Phoenix or Orion to go with this

I find it interesting that Power Rangers is making Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury Zord Link compatible, and Super Sentai is making a Kyoryujin compatible with Kingohger.
In retrospect though, something told me Zord Link was going to be Hasbro's equivalent to Bandai's Zord Builder.
I can’t believe how much Megazords are now. Almost $80 and they’re mostly big blocks of plastic. Little paint, chrome, articulation. These are worth $40-$45 at most to me.
if they had the features or atleast looked more detailed similar to the sentai's version then the price be fine.

These "Zords" look like something from Kyuuranger. A series I had HOPED -- along with Zyugher -- would be adapted into new seasons of Power Rangers.
This was all in my video from back in January. The plan from the start was original ranger footage, Kyuranger Zords. Everyone's finding out now for some reason, but it's been on the channel for some time.
I wouldn't go by the front of the box to guess what the articulation on a toy is. It's some spiffy artwork, but probably not representative of the product inside.
Thinking back to the 'No Way Home' Spiderman 3-pack from Marvel legends. Front of the box had the charcters in poses that were impossible to recreate with the actual figures (which are still cool).
Right. I only go by what is shown with the figure. The figure is not displaying any articulation. That had been their thing up until now... Zords with updated articulation. And no electronics mean the legs don't have to be stuck like that. I guess I'll find out for sure soon! Supposedly it'll be here tomorrow (but sometimes that's not accurate).
I miss the OG zords, and by OG zords I mean the quality of zords. The old ones were top notch, articulation was on point, they were decent size. Now a days, we get these plastic trash zords that look like McDonald happy meal toys.....
iirc they used to just import the Japanese toys with new paint but starting with overdrive they made American ones and the quality has been inconsistent since

• Operation Overdrive was a bit of a mix, and we didn't even get everything. The first ten vehicles were new molds (you had to double dip because there's TWO molds for Drill, Mixer, Shovel, & Crane: crap limbs and actual vehicles), the Flashpoint Megazord was rejected in favor of a stupid interactive version of the fire truck, but Battlefleet Megazord & Sentinel Knight were the Japanese molds with less paint.
• Jungle Fury was an even messier mix: we literally got the Japanese molds for everything except Elephant, Bat, Shark, & Wolf; Lion & Chameleon were part of a Disney Store exclusive five-pack, Rhino was an online Disney Store exclusive. But there was also a smaller, new mold version of the critters that not only gave us everything but the Jungle Master Megazord in that scale, a Toys R Us exclusive Mega Pack had everything along with a US only repaint/retool of the Jaguar into the Claw Cannon.
• RPM is where Bandai America would roll with new molds in earnest. The 2010 MMPR line would introduce the Zordbuilder System, which hung out all the time way through Ninja Steel, including the stuff that was remade in the Legacy Collection line.
And Hasbruh...I mean Hasbro...they just took up where Bandai left off, only worse. Dino Fury's zords looked alright, but the bigger problem is that for the second series in a row, they didn't release everything. (No Cosmo Raptors, no Pachy Smash in Dino Fury, no Beast-X Lionzord or Frog in Beast Morphers among several other things)

Thanks for the info! It's actually pretty impressive what Bandai was able to do with the lower cost zords! I really like a lot of them. This one without articulation and the high price seems like a miss. Looking forward to seeing it when you get it
As someone who bought the Dino Fury Zord 5-Pack, the Cosmic Fury Megazord looks very underwhelming.
Hopefully the actual product will be good? But like with everything nowadays, I'm keeping my expectations low.
Also, I prefer main Megazords to have all 5 zords packaged together, rather than hunting down all the parts like with the Transformers combiner toys.
Auxiliary Zords being packaged separately I'm fine with.
If anyone's wondering why this off-brand Kyuren-Oh looks horrible, it's most definitely because of Hasbro's greed and cheapness. Besides, nobody can really afford anything nowadays, so what makes them think that anyone else would be paying $73 for a cheap piece of plastic trying to replicate its counterpart (and Mighty Morphin Season 2 at the same time)?

To say the Cosmic Fury Megazord looks/feels cheap, is expensive & underwhelming, that's all very fair. You're making stuff up from there. Hasbro is a for-profit company. They're not our friends, they're not in the business of giving things away. If they make the thing ugly and overpriced, they're more likely to lose money due to fewer sales, with the Japanese version being easily available. Power Rangers is 30 years old. We see the same thing every year. US releases toys based on Japan's. Some seasons have been closer to Japans, others have not. I agree this is not Hasbro's best Megazord, to say the least, but there was positively nothing wrong with Dino Fury. They looked exactly like Ryusoulger, but with the articulation fans have begged for. I don't think Beast Morphers were perfect, but they certainly tried to update Japan's articulation.

@@MMPRtoys i mean I would buy sentai toys but I feel like I'm going to have to get some disinfectant wipes considering the sentai purists could do god knows what to the poor things behind closed doors. Hasbro's are not going to face that off the shelves but I still feel uncertain if I want the Cosmic Fury crap. So I will make my own version that beats both Hasblow and Bandied. 🤩
Yeah the hasbro Megazord is definitely not worth 73$ usd. I mean in Canadian it's 98$ and that's without taxes.... Definitely overpriced

They added a lot of articulation to Beast Morphers and Dino Fury, and honestly it didn't seem like anyone cared, still lots of complaining. ZAP line also has articulation. This is the basic line for kids... despite being almost $80.

i feel like the plastic quality is similar to mcdonald’s toys, bandai would have definitely made this 38$. at least with dino furry hasbro added articulation for the higher price but this imo is a step in the wrong direction
American zords were fine because they were around $25. Being cheap was fine for what they were. But $70 is ridiculous especially for this insult of a toy. Whats worse is seeing the new comander class armada optimus prime. Yes is $90 but is also the definitive version of armada optimus prime. Putting power rangers on hiatus could be a blessing for hasbro. The zap zords need a redo too. When hasbro fixes their issues id be glad to buy pr again.

Man, I miss the old Toys R Us. I think it was Power Rangers Samurai or Megaforce when they were selling the Japanese version of the main megazord in some stores.
Bandai listened to fans and imported DX Shinken-Oh & DX Gosei Great, they sold terribly. :( So, that was the end of that.
@@MMPRtoys I think they didn't sell well was because the Legacy line was starting up. I was fighting with myself, I wanted to get Shinken-oh because I liked Shinkenger, but I needed Dragonzord.

If there's one thing I'm upset about, is that I'd be paying $70+ for a megazord that has a gimmick I cannot use anywhere else. I can't use the Kyutamas in the morpher, we have no indication there will be any toys that will incorporate them, they have no indication of being pretty to look at at the very least what with Kyutamas being very known for their transparent patterns when you twist them, it all just seems like what we do get doesn't match up with what we need the toy to be.
We get Zord Builder which is like... cool? I guess? The ability for Shishi Red's zord to have its own standing mode which does not look good at all, it's no Super Megaforce individual racer megazord. Possible articulation? maybe? No?
I dunno, I'm just not feeling the whole thing from day 1 even before the price reveal. If you've got a money-making machine in Kyutamas, make them worth collecting. We wanna give you our money so why are you not giving us something to spend money over?

Kyurenoh was not one of my favorite designs anyway so it doesn’t matter to me. Not a Megazord/Gattai I would want to own. But $70 for a lesser version without lights and sounds is plain robbery. Especially with what you can get from Japan for a similar price.
0:57 Lmao that's what I keep asking myself. They complain and complain about the American stuff and yet don't buy the Japanese release. There are a million ways to get them on the internet. I can probably get new in box for all the Kyuranger mechs for probably under $300 still just because there's a ton of surplus toys from that series so if you guys really hate the Power Rangers release, go get that. Used maybe $100~150 depending if it's boxed or not. Seriously, the modern stuff from 2010 are easy to get if people just used Google for a second. There is also no shame in buying secondhand Sentai mechs especially if it's from Japan. Japanese collectors do tend to take care of those.
If anybody reads this and wonder why I'm saying that "I could" get it is because this and Lupin/Pat rangers were the series I kinda skipped collecting. I'll eventually get to buying these but not in any rush considering their prices used or brand new barely moved for a long time. The pressing matters for collecting are always the popular series cause if you missed those they would sometimes jump in price 10+ years down the line.

I bought kyuren-oh this week from Amazon Japan after binge watching your videos… and Jesus Christ the quality is absolutely superb. The kyutamas are so pleasing to play with!
I also got ten in voyager and the (ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE) dragon with the bear and Scorpion. Guess I just gotta find washi pink and silver hebitsukai voyager to complete the main rangers set!
I might even get the phoenix if it is as fun as the rest of the toyline

I'm not a huge fan of lights or sounds on Megazords, yes I can take out the batteries and be done with it but the transparency of the globes is gonna bother me so thank you Hasbro 😅😅😅

I have a Kyu Ranger Megazord like that from a non-original product. only bootleg products from china. but the size, details and quality are almost as good as the original product from bandai. only difference is the sound and light system... So I can say that the non-original product that I have is still better than Hasbro's product
Idk what's up with Hasbro and their PR toy distribution lately, man. Feels like Dino Fury's toyline just barely managed to fart along last year, Lightning Collection is on some kind of hiatus before they even put out an MMPR morpher with a red lense, and now this thing. Feels like the only thing that's gone right in the entire franchise lately is the Once and Always special. Cosmic Fury has a lot of heavy lifting to do as a show, man.

The only thing vaguely controversial about it was the use of CGI for the Megazord fights. And even then, that was a niche complaint.
I didn't mind most of the BOA stuff and now since I've been collecting the Japanese zords I actually grew more appreciative of them because of the cost difference.and what you got for almost 1/3 of the price of a BOJ zord. I will probably get Kyurenoh because this is such a downgrade from the Dino Fury Zords which I actually like more than the Japanese stuff.

@@claytenblair1746 It's always been "fall 2023" so that's a pretty fair guess as to when it will be on Netflix. But I would imagine Pulse Con on 9/22 will give us a date, and perhaps a trailer. That's already the end of September, so, that's my guess. I don't believe the actors actually know the date either. Last time I was paying attention, even Simon didn't know.

Yeah I'm definitely passing on any megazord that basically is a block with absolutely no articulation. like you're quite literally paying $70 for giant brick with colors all over it and a cheap gimmick. hopefully in the future we will get more megazords with better designs filled with articulation and traditional proper individual zords that form one single megazord instead of Lego builder like things that barely hold together and just stand out like a brick. I definitely don't need any more of those in my collection.

We need to revive joy among fans. I miss the Toys R Us and KB from my younger years, but honestly, it has never been easier to find toys. They're everywhere and easy to order online. You don't even have to leave your house. I don't particularly think so highly of the Macys Toys R Us stores, but, they're there, and they do have Power Rangers. And those stores are empty just like the toy sections when I'm at Target, Walmart, and anywhere else that sells toys. People just don't care that much. Nobody's buying anything. The Dino Fury Zords weren't bad at all. Hasbro did a great job on those. I didn't love Beast Morphers as much, but they certainly did give those more articulation even if they had some issues. People like Megazord, red ranger, green ranger and then interest and sales decline by a lot. There's a reason we keep getting MMPR stuff over and over. Nobody supports anything else. But, I also don't think Hasbro has done a great job promoting the show to new people either. The first half of this channel, the audience felt so much more enthusiastic. Now everyone hates everything, and not everything is bad. Hasbro's made more good things than bad, even if this Megazord is overpriced and underwhelming.
70 bucks for the cosmic fury megazord ( this is why I’m just going to wait for the action figures to be available) I’m going to pass on the megazord Bruno, ( shelf space and price plus I’ve never seen kyuranger ) at that price the Japanese version is probably someone’s best bet. I do agree about the price being too high but I think it's like when they sell all five zord in comsic fury so maybe in walmart they each gonna cost 20 or something bucks, and I thinky why it's plastic might be the fact that Bandai still owns the sentai and cause of it they might have gone with a bootleg route as too avoid being sue by bandai, and would explain why all 3 hasbro power ranger series are different from their sentai counterpart in toys like beast morphers with the keys, Dino Fury with their keys jus nor haveing the flip effect and currently with Comcis Fury with their Zord
I think you're confused about how rights work. Nothing about how Hasbro made this toy has anything to do with Japan. That's not at all how any of this works. As previously explained, it's a cost issue. It costs more to produce the keys in Ryusoulger vs what Hasbro made, for instance. I'd rather they put the cost into making the Zords better, the keys worked just fine they way Hasbro did them, and the Zords had more articulation than Bandai Japan. But they looked identical. If Bandai Japan was going to sue them for making the toys, making the keys not flip doesn't cancel out reproducing the Megazord. There's no reason to make guesses, all of this information is widely available, and some of our older videos where we'd visit Bandai explained why some things are the way they are. The official explanations from the source.
I passed on this megazord since I already have a preowned KyurenOh. However It came with a sasori Voyager instead of a Kajiki voyager. Im still trying to find a kajiki voyager without buying whole other kyurenoh.
I wanna say this now, but I think the Kyutama will just be called Cockpit Capsules. The gear (or lack thereof toy-wise) do not use Kyutama parallels, after all. Man, they should give us more Kyutama Cockpits after all these years...
I say have heard we may not be getting all the Kyuranger mecha, if they don't do that can we please get the Pacha smash zord and the raptors please 🙏

So disappointing, transformers get tons of articulation main line and legacy. Sorry mmpr guys hoping it is better then it seems.
The great irony of Dino Charge (I think it's irony) is that people complained about the lack of paint, etc, and now on the secondary it actually costs more to get the dino charge stuff than the Kyoryuger mecha
For some reason, Power Ranger stuff just (almost) always sells for more. Fans really want the American stuff (or don't know to/how to buy from Japan). That's been a thing for as long as I can remember, with some exceptions here and there.
The mini pla is like 40 bucks, you'll get a smaller toy, but over all plastic quality, posing and amount of robots would be three times the value over the hasbor one even with the shipping considered if that's the case.

It's kinda funny how the main mech for the recent Sentai abandoned traditional Sentai Mech design in favor of a better product and it worked out for them.
While PR is forcing a weird legacy gimmicks that clearly don't add much to justify being more expensive.
Just found that the zord link ports and some of the joints of my Dino fury zords are yellowing. Got to think this is specifically a Hasbro thing cause it’s been happening with their transformers for years now.
Wow, that didn't take long. As far as my collection goes (dating back to the early 1980s) the only yellowing I've experienced has been things left in direct sun, which happened a handful of times. All of my Hasbro things still look okay so far. I own a few Transformers things, so far so good with those. Are your figures near a window or getting sun at all?
This is absolute PEAK Hasbruh and I don't know why people are surprised. Hasbruh is famous for overpriced, undervalued toys, so a stripped down version of a better toy costing almost as much as the better version of the toy is nothing new. It baffles me how some people so badly wanted to divorce with Bandai, when Bandai at least TRIED to give you good value for a much lower price than Hasbruh. Well at least it isn't a thousand dollars like MTG30 was, and you can actually play with the toys.

Just more bad things against Cosmic Fury. Its a real shame. I was actually interested in this Zord when I saw you messing around with the Japanese version. But the JP one seems to be 10 times better and importing it wouldnt even be much more expensive than what they are asking for here.

I guess it's up to fans what they get out of it. Dino Fury wasn't bad. I think a lot of people have moved on and don't realize they've moved on. People hated the 2017 movie. People hated Once & Always long before it premiered. People have hated every US & Sentai season prior to their premiere going back to around 2016-ish. And to be fair, some of those seasons weren't the best we've had, but not everything has been terrible. I don't know what fans actually want now or if anything would really please everyone. Cosmic Fury sounds like a collection of things fans have begged for, for ages:
- Female red
- orange ranger
- original suits & footage
- more focus on story and no filler
And so on. As a TH-camr who specializes in Power Rangers and reads so many comments each day, I can say there's far more negative than positive. I'm wondering if Hasbro is realizing the same thing Bandai did when it comes to sales: Megazord. Red Ranger. Green Ranger, the end of sales. I'm really hoping Hasbro has a plan going forward to reach new people, b/c I think many existing fans have kinda had it. They don't like new things, they don't like the way the show is, and they don't want it to be different. All anyone remembers is Mighty Morphin, but then are sick of Mighty Morphin.
Power Rangers is turning 30. Buying Megazords from Japan has always been the way to go. We go through this every year. But last year Hasbro did a very good job with the Zords, and honestly nobody cared. Regardless of how good or bad the new show is, I'd still go with the Kyuranger Zords, which I encouraged people to do back in 2017. I stand by that, especially when it would cost you less to buy them vs the new Hasbro toys.

Actually, that's not at all true. For one thing, Mia and I have the same money. Comes from the same place. If she doesn't want me buying something, it's b/c we can't really afford it. It used to be a lot more difficult to buy the Japanese toys, but now that is not the case. You can get a lot of these things on Amazon with free shipping, or from Tokullectibles, also with free shipping. I can never tell how well my videos are being understood... are you being serious or playing along with past skits? I've been linking to entire Japanese seasons of toys that are like $150, that include shipping. I was linking to KyurenOhs that were between $35 - $50. Hasbro's was $73. I was saving you money by directing you to better things. Due to apathetic viewership, we have had to cut back on what we're able to do on this channel. This is a free channel where people come to decide if it's "worth it" to buy whatever the thing is they want. That means I have to buy every last thing under the sun so you can decide if you want to spend your money on it. We get paid by viewers showing up, and that's how we buy things for the channel that people ask to see. Low views = we can't afford to run the channel. It's been bad for a number of years now.

Sadly, most American made products are usually a race to the bottom of quality/price. From chicken to cars the equation is always, who will buy the most cheapest at max cost?

I don't like being negative here cos your vids are always a source of joy for me, but if I try to import them to Ireland I'll basically be paying double on top of shipping in import fees. The power rangers stuff does be the best and cheapest way for me to get mecha so if that's where people are coming from I totally get it.
Oh, the Japanese toys you mean? Even when they're offering free shipping? If you doubled some of those eBay auctions I listed here, it would still be a decent price. But, that sucks. Extra fees are never fun. 😕 I can see our TH-cam data, most of our viewers live in the US. In the US you can get anything if you're motivated to Google, or click our links. We have Power Morphicon and toy, or Power Ranger specific shows across the country. There are used toy stores, flea markets, and other related stores and comic shops all over that carry things like that. Image Anime in NYC unfortunately closed during the pandemic, but there are still more stores in NYC. I believe Anime Jungle is still there in LA though. Amazon has literally everything, we can order from Amazon US & Japan. Tokullectibles offers free shipping. It's not even funny how many great options we have. People in the US who can't find what they're looking for, it's kinda willful. I recently posted my trip to Ranger Station here in PA, with those buckets filled with Sentai toys between $5 - $10. And the sellers around that table had American toys. So, so, so many options. I can't speak for Ireland though, wish you guys had better stuff too.
@@MMPRtoys yep our customs department are ruthless. If it's not from the EU I'm gonna get hammered. I even had a hard time getting some Zenkaiger stuff from Tokullectibles because according to Customs "they filled out my details wrong", they never told me how and the guys just sent the item again but all in took 6-8 weeks if I'm remembering rightly. We get some of the American toys but it can be kinda random. I seen that vid I was very jealous of there being literal buckets of stuff. We have a con this weekend and if I was lucky to get a ticket it'd be a one in a million shot if they had Ranger/Sentai stuff, and another miracle that'd be something worth getting. If it's not massively mainstream it's hard to be a fan of stuff here, but it does mean that when we see each other in the wild it's immediately wonderful. 😊

Things like this is why I say the toy side of the franchise doesn’t care about us fans cause especially with the morpher we are stuck with the hasbro one cause there isn’t a Japanese version so we have to deal with the lesser quality on from hasbro but with the zords we can just get the Japanese versions at get a bit better quality

Luv collect super sentai dx zord..but the problem is that when a sentai series that year release their zord you have to buy on that year because they only make one year and it will be expensive it you skip few years and intent to buy

I was thinking about getting this to display the individual zoids along with Kyurenoh. Seeing the Zord Link system makes me wonder what combinations can be made. Who doesn't like a crossover team-up combination?!

Very good points Bruno! For me I'll probably try to get it used or something because $70 for that isn't worth it to me. I did think $70 for the Dino Fury packs was fair but not so much this. Idk Hasbro makes good and bad toys, so did Bandai. Ultimately I'm gonna wait for your review before making a decision because I trust your judgement and content. Excellent video as always!

Just a few extra balljoints in the arms or legs somewhere and I would've been happy. In my mind, they could've either tried to emulate the Japanese version with lights and sounds, or they could do it Dino Fury style and give it increased poseability. Unless the images are hiding a few joints that are well integrated, they went with neither.
When are going to start airing cosmic fury? Or are they still filming episodes to air?

honestly im so disapointed with Hasbro, since I love a lot of their mainline Transformers stuff and it just doesn't feel like they are putting in even a tenth of the effort into power rangers
They can make a transformers devastator combiner but they can't make a proper articulated individual separating megazord 😅

My arrives Monday and the cosmic fury mega pack is a lot cheaper when the dino fury mega pack was when that first released and i checked the dino fury mega pack is now the same price as the cosmic fury mega pack

how do you buy megazords on ebay its says in most descriptions that you have to play import duties, taxes, and charges how do i figure out what that's going to be I'm in the us btw.
I'm just seeing your comment now, but it's like I show on the channel. I buy, item comes. That's it. If you're concerned I'd certainly read the description and/or contact the seller, but I've been on eBay since the 1990s. I have never paid any of that. It's never come up once, and I'm sure you can imagine how often I'm buying Japanese things on eBay.

When seeing images of this appear online weeks ago, I originally thought about getting it. But after learning about the price this morning from another power ranger TH-camr I watch, my thoughts have since changed on getting one. I still might, but I’d rather see the price drop to between $30-50.
