Refreshing to hear a wonderful musician that uses her voice as her instrument...Thank you, Ms. Jazzmeia Horn.

Was so fortunate to catch Ms Horn's performance in Dallas a few weeks ago.
I thought the concert was even better than any of her work I have seen on you tube.....she really just blew me and the audience away, accompanied by Professor Roger Boykin, and two other Dallas' jazz icons. Ms Horn just showed that though ancestors paved the way, she can build her own freeways into uncharted territories.
I look forward to seeing her attain to her peak, but I think I will be long gone before she ever peaks. What a talent!

Love that flat 5th at the beginning of her solo. She has a great ear for upper structure harmony. This girl is awesome.

B Clark What's your point? Flat 5, diminished fifth, tritone and sharp11. They all mean the same thing. If your ear is so great then explain what she is doing harmonically at the 4:17 mark. And not with the piano. Just use your ear. And don't just say she's signing outside. She's doing something very specific.

@@kazire4591 Well, I guess you've been confused for 30 years then. No one refers to a #11 as a #4. That alone tells me the extent of your "knowledge".

Weird video. Intro music is annoying and too loud. Where is the bassist? Bone solo is killing but clips occasionally. No time for a sound check? Also, which one is Vincent and which is Russell? Guess I’ll google that. Jazzmeia makes up for it all tho!

Not digging the horn...meh. Jazzmeia needs no accompaniment

You have to hear Vincent live. He does play with intervals. His playing is way too dynamic for this small room video.
