Be professional Suck it up and get your check like every other actor on television and in the movies does. When Sex and the City 3 the movie was in the works instead of dogging everyone she should have just said..."I wanted to be paid as much as Sarah Jessica (which she deserved to be), they told me No... So i declined to do the movie". Instead, she had to serve all those false narratives, shadyness and pettiness....which got her nowhere financially and creatively... Not the brightest mannequin in the window... i would say !
HBO knew they needed her and Kim knew they needed her. That's what happens when you are good at your craft, she made that show what it was and they knew that without her it would be an uphill battle. She's a damn inspiration.

There are actors who truly understand characters they play better than even the writers. Chadwick Boseman with T’Challa is just one example. Jenna Ortega for Wednesday is another. Especially why Wednesday in that series felt true to the 90s films we love but everything else in that universe was wrong.
I loved that detail of her kissing the phone… But a note: actors are almost always on their own for phone calls. They’re pretty much never actually feeding each other lines when filming conversations (which is why the timing and responses can often feel out of sync if you pay attention). Each person is generally filmed entirely separately, so this is one thing that isn’t specific to Kim in this situation.
The leak benefitted two shows: And Just Like That and Glamorous. Glamorous (Cattrall's new Netflix show) premiered on June 22nd. The leak occurred on May 31st. Everyone was buzzing about the return while Cattrall promoted Glamorous. Draw your own conclusions.
I respect Kim for doing what she needs to do to protect her art. It’s nice to see this moment but I was annoyed with Carrie saying “I can’t handle anymore drama” after the call when she picked up her cat. It kinda ruin the moment for me after because I was still enjoying Kim’s scene just a few seconds ago. Kinda shady for Carrie to say that even tho it’s directed at her cat.

They were prepped and ready to go for interviews (including Kim) from the time the story broke. I would also expect there were clauses in the contract she couldn't go around trashing the cast (esp SJP) during the build up.
Kim probably signed a nondisclosure agreement with her contract and was paid well to do it, so my guess the network leaked it for PR and building anticipation.
I am of the generation with my age close to that of the actresses. I saw Sex and the city in those years. Reading them I feel like the time of the caves... Business is business. Personally I think that here the fanaticism for a good character is mixed with reality. Not everything is black or white,

They were prepped and ready to go for interviews (including Kim) from the time the story broke. I would also expect there were clauses in the contract she couldn't go around trashing the cast (esp SJP) during the build up.

I don’t really believe in “the feud” I think it’s mostly the press and gossip and some rather generic workplace and interpersonal stuff getting blown out of proportion and possibly Kim being a bit of an overly dramatic diva. And I’m not defending SJP I just don’t believe it’s the way a lot of people think it is. No toxic workplace, no good guy/bad guy dynamic. Maybe money was originally part of it, or SJP’s exec producer title.

I see why Kim didn’t want to come back the storylines are awful first they kill off big seemed like she got over that quick now waiting for Aiden for 5 years the Che/Miranda thing horrible I don’t know why I watch this anymore I love Charlotte and Steve but his best storyline was in the last 2 episodes before that they had him acting like an idiot. What’s next? What I’d love to see is Samantha living in Paris with Alexander Samantha is the show and I miss her!!!

I think it was BIG totally underwhelming. Totally not worth it. Maybe it should have happened at THE END of the show, and not inside a taxi but in a nice apartment surrounded by people. Totally waste of a cameo
