For some reason this has gotten a lot of traction from the YT algorithm. If you're here because of that, thanks, I appreciate you. But I have to admit it's also kinda funny because my speedrun time is still the worst on the leaderboard, haha. If you want to see some actual good runs, head over here: www.speedrun.com/rollerdrome
This looks like a fun game to speedrun, I wonder if the devs will add a speedrun mode to it. It might be the first game I ever speedrun if I get into it
Agreed! I wish the in-game timer was more robust, taking into account how much you spend in reflex/bullet time, and I wish the in-game timer worked during the boss fights. Otherwise, I think all the speedrunning tools are right there. I hope there are opportunities to improve the categories on speedrun.com as well. Soon I'll be back into more regular runs, I also hope to make some speedrunning guides for this game as well, there's a lot of cool tech and strategies to explore.
I guess this video is proof that in today's world, you can literally stick a gunman on frickin' rollerblades and call it a game lol. Great job as always :D
Rollerdrome is a real breath a fresh air in today's world. It's got a stellar mood and style, and it feels amazing to play. Very responsive controls and good flow. Definitely not an uninspired, industry-produced hollow shell of a video game. Alas, there's lots of those today, many call themselves-pretentiously-indie gems, but Rollerdrome is not one of them
hi mate! great job on the run, really excellent showcase of rollerdrome's fantastic depth! was wondering if i could borrow a couple minutes of your gameplay here for a brief review of rollerdrome as part of a game of the year video? i want to show off the kind of high-level movement that's possible (when you're not as bad as i am at the game). i will credit you of course :)

Still better than me.

@@stack72 maybe adding a "rush" mode to play all campaign levels nonstop in order and a separate timer not affected by reflex would be great.
There have been lots of updates to the speedrun page so its a better time than ever to get back into speedrunning
Agreed! Hopefully I'll be able to do more runs soon, no promises though

What do you mean in today's world? Games from the 80s did the same thing, theres just a lot more polish and detail now
