Fall outfits are the best; boots, sweaters, non-puffy jackets, classic scarves. Just love it. (Although the climate change has diminished the number of crisp Fall days. And also the winter snow is less. :(
Don't give up hope as you make your sourdough starter from scratch. I almost did back in 2019. It took longer than all the online advice and videos. I actually started using two jars with different types of flour; Ernie is still alive and going strong (whole wheat), but Bert didn't make it (rye). Good luck!

Good luck with the sour dough! I've been making sour dough breads for over 20 years and it still amazes me that something as simple as flour, salt, and water can produce something so delicious and sustaining. Sour dough pizza is my all time favourite and something I make just about every week.

i recommend getting an auto feeder for the cats so when you are out, you can still feed them. You can even time it so it comes out a specific time and certain amount. Or you can manually tap it on the app and they will be fed even when you are out.

Same, I’ve made 3 loaves only one turned out and overproff one dough so made a sweet cinnamon roll focaccia bread . Was amazing, will have to purposely overproof again to try a savoury focaccia.

I used to work at a great little indie book store. One of my many favorite books was The Better World Shopping Guide. It was helpful and hard to learn that (there is a new parent company now, I believe) my favorite Burt’s Bees chapstick was owned by the Clorox Corporation, one of the biggest polluters ever! I made a more informed decision and bought some locally made lip protection.
When you finally turn on your radiators when it gets colder, be careful with your cats. Cats get into everything and can accidentally jump on them and get hurt since the radiators get real hot!

It sounds like a lot of work and I don't know if your things would fit properly etc but maybe it world be world trying...
