At the start Japhet was not match fit and was also playing in a system that many of the defenders were really not suited to. That kind of put a lot of the pressure on him. Bringing it back to basics brought Cooper back into his comfort zone and allowed Japhet to get back to full fitness. I’d like to think that we could play either a back 3 or 4 and be effective. A lot will also now depend on the new keeper as well.
I reserve judgement on Japhet, a player who pratts around before committing to us, I question whether he will give 100%. langstaff on the other hand, welcome addition. would like to see mayor given a good run.
