Haha Brill! Well done Mike. This game would totally bamboozle me. When my brain does actually work, it doesn't have the ability to work in a way to solve this sort of puzzle! lol Looking forward to your 5 in 5
My brain never worked for it either, except for this single play. But you know what the hip kids say these days: "every dog has its blue moon twice in the bush"
I know this is outside the scope of this video and maybe even the channel, but do you think kids of age 9 and 12 would grasp this game? Interested to play this with the family, but I'm afraid of it being just à tad too much for them (we play games like Paleo. Endangered is their limite of complexity so far)
So here's the thing... the video didn't show it, but there is an excellent simplified mode to the game too (for solo/co-op AND competitive). It takes out the blocked sides, the extra units, the card management, etc., and it works really well. I think your kids could definitely play that version, and that would help to build them up to the more complex considerations for the full game when they are ready.
They were doing a reprint campaign. Looks like copies are available again now (amazon and elsewhere): www.gamenerdz.com/mind-mgmt-the-psychic-espionage-game?.com&

This is my most play game of 2022! In solo, coop and one vs many this game is sooo good!
I agree!
I ❤ this game so much ! And the solo mode is such a great thing for a game like that : quick training sessions 😅
Agreed, although for me change "quick training sessions" to "Mike is bad at games"... well, except for this playthrough for some reason!

I'm going to have to remember that one so people will think I'm cool and down with the kids! lol
Scotland Yard was my favourite as a kid. I think this is the closest to an adult (no pun intended) version of it !
I used to play a lot of that, and also fury of Dracula a little later
