I tried the day per page but i have to be able to see my whole week also. I prefer the horizontal week on two page by moleskine. Maybe that one would work for you, too. Tfs!
I love the weekly planners, but I admit to frustration with the monthly/weekly planner books: if Moleskine merely took out the pages filled with information most of us either never use or else could easily google, the monthly spread in the weekly planner could be two pages, and they’d have a monthly/weekly planner.
How did you get the notebooks to fit into the planner? I bought a pocket Malden because the Moleskine notebooks wouldn’t fit into my pocket Finsbury, and somehow I thought the sizing would work better with the Malden. Sadly, the notebooks wouldn’t fit without cutting/smooshing them. Did you have to cut down the covers?
Why don't you try the day to a page setup, but incorporate some bullet journal features? So rather then worry about how you'll officially break up the page into sections, just write everything in one list and have a basic key. Like a circle indent for daily to do, square box for daily notes and then a triangle indent for appointments? That's what I do. Then you could have a separate notebook for your finances and any extended notes you have.

I think you are best tweaking your weekly to 12 mo. + journal setup, splitting the non-journaling off into a separate slim notebook. I personally found the Moleskine daily hard to write in - the large spine doesn't open as nicely or evenly as the slimmer books. If you're happy with a half-page for journaling, stick with it.

You could get a grid Moleskine and setup your week view in it or even in a Field notes or tip in a weekly view at the beginning or end of each week.
