I've always been interested by mirror neurons. I watched this and they were completely different than what I thought they would've been. Still though they seem quite interesting for child developmental psychologist. But I still think blaming the mother works quite well.

4:40 "...some of these neurons, about 10 to 20%. also fire when they see someone else do the same type of action."
Like when one is a passenger in a vehicle but still puts one's foot on the brake (which is not there). Even non-drivers do this.

Are there any studies of mirror neurons facilitating harmful or negative anticipatory actions? For example, in hostile [but covert] environments, such as a soldier doing home checks in war zones? OR inner-city citizens with high crime rates? Would Love to read those studies - I have a feeling the brain system would alert us of 'impending harm' as well...

So what does sensory perception then facilitate and help to create mirror neurons in the blind? Relying on sound association and feeling experience? Can this not replace the seeing to create the mirroring experience by positive outcome and success from picking up a cup or reaching for an object by sensing it only? Mapping memory to build a stronger pathway of trusting the outcome of the action from a more intense need for awareness to survive and thrive?

I was interested in how developing brains pick up on parental stress, and or how 'sterile' emotional worlds(protective parenting styles) affect the brain; looking at Dr Maté- How emotions affect our cognitive functioning... and thinking how enriching an environment helped a child 'return'... from Autism... and how did interaction with less stressed people help the child connect.
Was it to an extent the mirror neurons.
      Seems probable.

Have the same observations been made or attempted with humans and dogs?

What are the implications of borderlines having superior ability to read peoples affective state, coupled with reduced mirror neuron activity?

      i teresting question.
Do you have more context? Can you suggest a video or three to understand better where you coming from?
I guess it seems the peoole might nit have relied on... people surrounding them(?) not empathising with their actions... not trying to learn from them... but still read the actions of others... as percieved influence to life (thinking-but have no idea)?

He doesn't perform the jokes, it's like he's just reading them from a script. Delivering a joke is it's own form of art/act.

Oh I thought it is mostly so that we copy humans that are smarter than us, being able to learn new skills so the evolution goes on, but it’s a defence mechanism as well it seems

I assume that in a TEDx talk, people are meant to be serious. Laughter is banned in TEDx.

Don't video record or present these if you aren't doing to do it well.
You dropped the ball with this one. Don't do that anymore.
Show us each and every graphic well! It's important!
    Thanks.
