I can only imagine being Billy Joel and sitting hear hearing such a beautiful rendition of a song I created. I'm pretty sure he would have some tears falling right now. WOW!! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL😻💗💞
Amazing, got chills the whole time. Transcending space and time ❤
This was the last song in the last concert with Philip Faber in charge of DR Pigekoret. He has decided to move on after ten years in the job. The emotions and tears were not alone due to the beautiful song by Billy Joel, but also due to a chapter in their lives is over. Thanks for the many beautiful performances in the last ten years to Philip Faber and all the young women who have been a part of DR Pigekoret.
For me, this back-story solidifies my kinship with this group of talented singers. Mr. Faber and the choir have every right to hold their heads high and be exceptionally proud of this performance. I hope this is being sung in Heaven because, it is truly worthy...It really warms my heart
And ... a big thanks to the crew who set up the recording and final mix for this beautiful arrangement of Billy Joel's personal favorite composition. Veerrryy well done. Thanks
Some tears well placed.
Un placer escuchar desde Uruguay ❤
I didn’t think this song could get anymore beautiful, I was wrong.
When I come to Denmark, first thing I want to do is to go to the concert of this incredible people.
Me too
This us Billy Joel's favorite song of his many.
This is where this choir shines brightest. It's a fabulous group, but when you take away any accompaniment and have no books in hand, and have them singing like this, no one does it better ❤
Exactly! 👍
Pure joy ❤
The singing, and the tears, were simply beautiful.
Thanks for posting, in many interviews that Billy gives, he says this is the song he's proud of the most!:-)
The harmonies and tones are thrilling…definitely goosebump performance!
Beautiful music, Beautiful singing, Beautiful tears.
That was simply amazing ladies, I cannot put into words how beautiful it was.
and this is the very song that Billy's favorite of his own.
I'd have to say, this is the prettiest rendition I've ever heard. Nicely done, ladies. Be very proud of this performance. 50 years from now you will be able to tell your grand children, "yes, we were THAT good!"...Now I must go find some tissues
What a beautiful way to sing this song - hand in hand with open hearts aund souls. Thank you!
Be proud of this one, girls!
Beautiful!
This is how it should sound ❤marvelous.
Beyond words I must say every single thing about this video is beautiful. Beyond words.
Remember the human, always. This broke my heart, again.
Beautiful - so moving.
Even the Angels are jealous!....
Thank you ❤
Such a beautiful moment.

Oh my god... Amazing 😢
Absolut fantastic....

Que lindo!! Emocionante! 🥺🥰🇧🇷
Fantastica ❤
❤
Trouxe paz e reflexão sobre quanto somos frágeis e temporários nesta terra! A beleza das vozes e das coisas simples! DEUS CONOSCO! AMÉM!😊😊😊😊
Utroligt smukt
How to destroy a 45 year old. There is not enough thanks for posting this. A beautiful song in its own right, raise to the tenth power.
It’s very impressing how Phillip is able to conduct the girls, just by facial expressions!
Not really, i can do that with my dog
@@pliashmuldbathat was almost a miraculously stupid comment
@@skumflum3768 Why ?
You can train dogs to react to hand signals and even facial expressions.
My dog if i showed in 1 palm it sat down, if i showed it 2 palms it laid down, among other things.
I would assume a entire symphonic orchestra, even if manned by us silly Danes, well still more easy to communicate with.
PS. do you even know the basics of conducting ???? i do
We actually weren’t being conducted! It was purely singing together. He made the choice to not conduct sort of giving the choir to the new conductor in a way. We do the same thing for our concerts in the dark, except then of course you can’t even see each other, so it’s purely based on listening to each other breathe and knowing each other and the songs very well:)
@@user-gy5eb9kx7q wow!
Dr Koncerthuset Good day dear sir the world is wonderful everything is possible - including that which is impossible in the past It's a fantastic world
Very Nice.
I can see that some of the girls were moved.
Some of the woman I meant to write.
Man that brings a tear to the eye...
Ladies getting emotional and all...
Anyways here are the lyrics...
In every heart there is a room
A sanctuary safe and strong
To heal the wounds from lover's past
Until a new one comes along
I spoke to you in cautious tones
You answered me with no pretense
And still I feel I said too much
My silence is my self defense
And every time I've held a rose
It seems I only felt the thorns
And so it goes, and so it goes
And so will you, soon, I suppose
But if my silence made you leave
Then that would be my worst mistake
So I will share this room with you
And you can have this heart to break
And this is why my eyes are closed
It's just as well for all I've seen
And so it goes, and so it goes
And you're the only one who knows
So I would choose to be with you
That's if the choice were mine to make
But you can make decisions too
And you can have this heart to break
And so it goes, and so it goes
And you're the only one who knows🌹
Check out the King's Singers version. Sounds like the same arrangement.
Nice performance, but I don’t care for the arrangement. It’s oddly paced, flat and emotionless. Compare this to the arrangement used by The King’s Singers which can be seen on TH-cam with just the group, and then there is the phenomenal performance the did with the Stay at Home Choir.
Those who can, do. Those who can’t, criticize.
@@davidy7418 Thanks for the trite platitude. As long as there has been art there has been art criticism. Something odd about the younger generations who have been raised with a fear of evaluation and critisizing criticism in itself. Ah, the participation trophy generations. And we wonder why young people are so anxious. They're raised with such thin skins.
You’re welcome. I’m happy to help. Finding flaws in such a beautiful song is akin to complaining Michelangelo didn’t use enough blues in the Sistine Chapel. However, my explaining this is pointless. I wish you the best.
Boy...that SUCKED
No they don't. Your giant loser 😂
I hope you one day can see beauty in life and find peace in what seems like a depressive episode in your life.
I'm sorry. The ladys do not pronounce: The audience hears "wouns", lovers pas" not wounDS , lovers paST.
They sing "in cautious toes" not " cautious toNES", "with no preten" instead of "with no PreteNSE"
AWFUL. Additionally, the too slow tempo does not allow a clean sFz as written by Billy Joel.
Your choir is pretty, sure,... but emotional meaning in music is nuanced, ...the rubato, the sudden color change. This leaves the listener breathless.
First things first. Your "good" choir needs to PRONOUNCE the words (listen to the King Singers- Stay At Home Choir, - same piece) in order to become a "Great" choir.
Bob Banos
Composer, singer, songwriter, conductor
You have the right to your own opinion, but if you think your opinion changes anything, or means anything to those who did the performance, then you are wrong. The world simply doesn't care.
What a bitter life you must lead. A performance of a song that brings solace to people’s lives, and you come with your bile to bring everyone down.
I feel sorry for you that you felt the need to do that.
Who on Earth writes TH-cam comments and signs off as the Composer, singer, songwriter and Conductor?
@@skumflum7511 He sells water filter systems, and when you google his name, nothing music related comes up. So either lying or has never worked on anything worth anyone's time.
haha if you had any selfrespect, you would never post such a comment and then end off with composer? hah! def not someone with credentials of any kind!
Pretty, but incredibly misguided. This is one of the most personal, intimate songs out there, not a good choice for a choir.
Beautiful!
