You should totally *not* pay for the checkmark for a month or so, and very stringently keep up the posting schedule and mix of photos/carousels/reels/stories, compare the analytics and do a followup video - did the numbers continue to increase, did they flatline, did they decrease - this would make for some very interesting content indeed :D
We all got used to play for free in those Social Network platforms. But , things have changed and now if you really need exposure for you business you need to pay.

Good overview on Meta Verified. Hard to say whether the blue tick increases reach in some way but it sounds like you have been more intentional with your posting and that is reflected in your results. Some people will have more "trust" in an account with a blue tick so that could be playing a part too. Meta Verified just opened here in the UK and I decided to go for it. The main benefit for me is to combat impersonator accounts (and people who steal and repost my content) and also to protect my account should the account be disabled or have some issue. Having a real person to talk with about account issues is worth the price in my book 👍
It is a money-grabber and they must be desperate. I was offered to subscribe the Meta Verified yesterday. I am in UK, had no idea it involved payment. My IG account is set to private since 4 years ago or so. I am not a content creator nor an influencer. Barely post, never have used reels, I post stories intermittently. Only 922 followers. However, I am an active instagrammer with consistent solid engagement with many accounts. What is the point for me to have a blue badge? Let alone to pay for one. Secondly, what does an ID government really have to do with it? That misleadingly creates the idea that is something official and unless your profession is social media-based, it gives Big Brother vibes. So no, thanks.
how does it help with stolen content? You can just report it and Instram removes it. Of course it's different with the verified reposting accounts like doingthingsmedia, memezar etc. They can steal videos and a DMCA report will have no effect. They get notified by IG when they infringed copyrights and can remove it by themselves. THAT's a topic we should talk about. Why do we have a two class society on IG?
Since i have agreed to pay them they have restricted my comments twice for telling someone on a post that my message was in their request folder. I was trying to network and make a new friend.
Each time they made me spend all day going through the punishment, although I did not break the rules and then they punish me harder the next time that I did not break the rules, but they catch it in their thing.

Im pretty sure some streamer stated that if you dont have a blue checkmark your posts will get a lot less engagement and visibility just because of the blue checkmark.. like when you subscribe your tweet will reach more people just because of the blue checkmark changes..

Would be cool seeing a follow up doing everything you did here except on the free version. Honestly, if you didn't make financial profit, it's burning money. Not to mention all the hours put in for making your content. If you got one new video client from it, maybe worth it, but not if you have to keep burning money when same results can be done on the free version. Really we don't know the full scope of the results unless we know if similar analytics are created on the free version using your same input.

The meta verified helps a lot. If you're a person that's investing in yourself as a brand, taking yourself seriously long term. I feel this helps to get that trusting relationship with your audience. After getting MetaVerified, I start noticing new customers from overseas, potential clients.

I will say this. I had my page wiped for a month for no reason. Getting verified might help with that. I got verified on another page for 2 months got rid of it. I will verify on my restored page now because I think there was an attempt on my page tonight. That's why I am here looking at this.

I feel like my reach on IG is trash because they want me to pay to promote. Same with Tiktok. All my videos nearly instantly hit 200 and then.. death. They will sometimes have like 50+ likes on 200 views. Which means the content is largely likeable. But tiktok sees me as a cash cow. They also expect users to start going live more at 1000 followers because live is wher tiktok makes all their money scamming content creators and gifters. Its all so defeating and to be honest.. im just fuckin tired of it.

It’s not about credibility anymore. It’s about how instagram can get more money even to the ordinary IG users. If you are an artist/creative that wants more exposure, your WEBSITE is the most important thing you need to invest into. Your IG blue check mark is just a display if you don’t have a website that makes you more professional.

You can have your ig username as a stage name but at least half of your actual name has to be listen on the profile. I got mine verified and I had to review my name ( my name is long and it was approved with half the name )

Nope. For any changes, even so much as a profile photo, u will have to get yourself re-verified again & if that name doesn't match your ID, they will reject it.

That's literally the point is to have your real name to prove it is the person. I think some celebrity names or businesses are trademarked and are valid to be legally used. As far as that process I don't know. I have an LLC so I will see if that will work.

So they're proposing I pay for more "exposure" that nets me $0.00. In other words, I'd pay for them to continue to generate revenue with my humble submissions. Yeah, no thanks.
