Great interesting video. I’ve never been to Vietnam. Not sure if I’m ever gonna go but nonetheless very interesting to learn about other cultures.

If you’re single Expat then you can probably live very comfortably for less than 1000 USD. If you are a Expat family in Vietnam I would say 3-4k very comfortable. If you’re living there like a local family probably less than 2KUSD.

Hi. New Subscriber here. Why Ulo ng Pansit? Sounds like Filipino? :-) I am a Filipino and I vacationed in Da Nang from Nov 23 till Dec 12. Great City! I hope to bring my whole family there in the future. I have 7 kids 🙂

Đà Nẵng is more open easy and cheaper than HCM city… and of course ĐN is my hometown!

If I have kids someday, I would want them to be home schooled. Public education is terrible, private education is expensive. Kids only need like 2-3 hours a day to learn and can take online standardized tests to make sure they are keeping up. Schools are mostly busy work, going from one class to the next, packing their stuff up and prepping for the next. Teachers give them busy work, homework and useless projects. Also where they get social anxiety, get bullied or be the bully. Either way they become better people when they learn from their parents and siblings (shows them family comes first, not some friends that will come and go). With all that spare time, they can learn to grow food, learn some hobbies, take care of pets, do extra chores to help their parents, learn useful skills. Teachers edition books literally give you all the tools, testing/quizzes examples etc. The more kids you have, the less the cost because those books can be reused for each child.

Yeah, theres a lot more and better school options now thanks to the internet and elearning. That said, you gotta find a way to get your kids playing w other kids, and school is the easiest way for most people.

Ironically I watched a guy yesterday and he said Da Nang is getting sick of expats/travelers and people are starting to overcharge with bad attitudes...not my words but sounds possible

Meh, there are tourist traps everywhere. I got crapped on when I called a market here a tourist trap, even though it is hard to get in theres so many tour buses. That said, Da Nang is not even close to over run w tourists or expats. Its a city of over a million, w a couple beach areas that are touristy.
