I get emotional rewatching this. I remember I had a big surgery coming up a day or two after this game. So my dad decided to take me out to eat to watch this game. It was insane. I’m an Alabama fan, and I was in the 6th grade watching this game live. Alabama was not prepared to play this game at all, even from the opening kickoff as you pointed out. Ohio State deserved to win this game.
Alabama played some really sloppy games that season, they had a super talented team but had stretches of really sloppy play. Plus Blake Sims was a decent QB but was turnover prone against good competition.

I remember jumping up and down on the furniture when Ted ginn ran the opening kick against Florida back in the natty only to find out he broke his ankle in the celebration and ended up getting their ass beat and starting the superior sec narrative. I remember defending jt Barrett against his harsh judgments (we were both right in retrospect). I remember him fawning over Trevor Lawrence and me hating it because he was ruining our seasons. I love Ohio state football because of my dad and it’s been a constant in my life that has lasted longer than pretty much anything else. My cousin makes a living running an OSU blog. This is our life. That was a classic OSU win, a program that loves a brawl in big game. There's something about big games that certain programs never lay down, never stop fighting, love trading punches. They did it again against Clemson the year after. There's something in the DNA of OSU football that makes the impossible possible. Remember that win over Miami where Maurice Claret ripped the interception out of the hands of the defense to get the ball back? Things like that happen every big-time OSU game.

I agree and I would even go as far to say that OSU made them look bad. The only reason I say that is because the 2013 class for Ohio State a lot of them went into the NFL. I would say that it was OSU had young players, but NFL caliber talent that year nonetheless. Also I think that Alabama wasn't as good that year compared to other years.

@@andrewholt1040 the lead back is almost always the best back. The reason Yeldon started is either cuz he was a Senior and Henry was still a Junior or because he’s faster than Henry and can catch the ball outta the backfield which is important in college ball.

I agree and I would even go as far to say that OSU made them look bad. The only reason I say that is because the 2013 class for Ohio State a lot of them went into the NFL. I would say that it was OSU had young players, but NFL caliber talent that year nonetheless. Also I think that Alabama wasn't as good that year compared to other years.
