  • In this video, I'm walking you through the process of tempo-mapping a MIDI performance that had not been recorded with a click to Reaper's grid. Only a single Reaper action has to be performed during the procedure. Make sure you have the SWS extensions for Reaper installed.

Thanks for your tutorial. It really helped to increase knowledge on understanding how to go back to spontaneous MIDI and Audio recordings that I want to use. Under the radar excellence. Best wishes.

Thanks for the great tutorial. Yet another way to tempo map, I think this one is my favorite!

Thank you for explaning, I was really puzzled by how to get my free performances supplied with a synced grid and tempo map. One remark: Please please please, why quantise?!? As soon as you do all feeling and humanity is lost, it sounds dead. Correcting a gew errors is fine, but no more. Just leave it as is and use the made tempo map to have an easier time syncing other tracks and performances to it.

Thanks for your comment, Daniël! Don't worry, I also usually try to avoid to quantize but I think it's important to mention how to accomplish it for the sake of completeness since some people may actually need to know how to quantize free performances for whatever reason.

Hello, Is it possible to include a reference audio track to synchronize a midi file to? Thanks!

If you are referring to the SWS action(s) I used, you have to install the SWS extension pack for Reaper to get access to those actions: www.sws-extension.org
Download the package for your operating system and follow the respective istallation instructions. Once installed, you can find the actions in the action list and may wanna assign them to an available key of your keyboard.

2 horas para corrigir uma música de 3 minutos.... Crazy

Você está exagerando um pouco, Onival. Leva apenas 5 minutos. Como você faz isso?
