I used diluted mouthwash for a while. Bad idea. It caused mold to grow in the tube. Luckily I could see it because the tube is transparent. Hydrogen peroxide is a good idea, even just to sanitize the tubing.
i found no comment on tube maintenance. all but one vid failed to comment on the tube on the base unit to tippy tip WRT bad stuff building up in tube can lead to serious health issues. useful info i'd think. i got my ultra platinum and charging up the learning... ;)
Good points. Honestly I have had no issue with tube maintenance. A reason for this might be that I routinely (every use) add hydrogen peroxide to the tank when I use the device. This probably keeps the tubes clean on its own and is also good as an oral rinse. Two birds with one stone.
