Sticky buns are my favorite sweet roll too Martha. My husband liked cinnamon rolls but I adore sticky buns with those wonderful pecans. I love pralines, pecan pie and candied pecans and just eating pecans out of hand. Russell Stovers makes a pecan roll candy with a brown sugar center which I can eat the whole thing. Russell Stovers is a Kansas City Candy company but it isn’t as good as it used to be when it was owned by the family who started it. Their hand dipped chocolates were absolutely the best chocolates of any I ever tried. They used to be better than the brand sold in California, See’s or Fannie May or Ethel M. Russell Stovers bought out Whitman’s according to the internet but I think it was the other way around because Whitman’s was always a cheap discount store brand and the quality went way down. We used to go to the candy stores and get hand packed boxes every Christmas, we would buy 5 pound boxes and our family devoured them back in the 50’s, they also made the best fudge. They made beautifully decorated mints that my mother would buy to put on a silver tray for birthday parties. I hope you got to try them at sometime I your life. There was a quaint little candy store on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri that which was a tourist attraction.
