That wide angle low show of the beach was crazzzyy. I personally think wide angle shots look the best on phones because it can get around the lack of depth of field
Some of these shots are absolutely ridiculous! I got an S22U recently and I do actually use some of the shots in professional stuff, especially the longer focal length on a gimbal. But this thing looks next level! Insanely good colours and specs

Damn... And these are just prototypes bro! I'm excited for the final product! I'm seriously considering going from my Pixel 5 to a Sony phone. I had the Samsung Galaxy S22+ and I love the pictures it took but the focusing would glitch a lot for me... I don't know, I might have gotten a defective unit. But I love that Sony kept the extra storage slot and the headphone jack! And also puts their camera technology from their mirrorless cameras into their phones! So awesome... I have a Sony a6600 and it's a beast for being an APS-C.
I have the Xperia 1 iii and there are a few things I don't like. I'm wondering if you can tell me if they fixed these problems on the IV?! 1) there is no option for over exposure zebras, or focus peaking.(both would be great) 2) It only lets you use the 24mm lens in frame rates over 29.97. (this seems like it shouldn't be a processing issue and that it should be able to do it) Right? So, that's listed a little weird, but I'm wondering if they addressed those for this model.
I'm in Wyoming documenting a dinosaur fossil dig. While I'm not leaving my Lumix S5 behind, this Xperia + DJI OM gimbal would easily cut down on the amount of rig hauled into the mountains and be an exceptional B-Cam instead of another bulky cine cam or dslr.

Mate, these shots are incredible! You actually convinced me to pick up an Xperia Pro-I recently for events and places where I'm unable to bring the ol' FX3/A7SIII combo and I have to say I've been blown away. My main phone is still an iPhone but I take this thing everywhere with me now because it's so damn capable. My only complaint is lack of 4K 120fps on all 3 cameras so this certainly has me thinking I might need this when it comes out too, haha. Amazing work as always man! Edit: Also picked up the 67mm filter adapter from Moment so I can use my VND and a cheeky 1/8th Black Pro Mist and the results have been excellent!
@@ryugalaw My main two reasons are mostly AirDrop for work and iMessage for communication. I do also still enjoy my iPhone a good bit so it's hard to get away from after over a decade of use. I also feel as if I can notice a difference in quality of my social media posts (photos/videos) when posting the same file from Android vs iPhone. I find that the iPhone tends to post in higher quality for some reason on certain apps, which is preferable in what I do as a photographer & filmmaker. I don't know if there's any real evidence to that but it's important for both my personal and client work. I also communicate with a fair amount of people that, for one reason or another, I wouldn't necessarily be able to communicate without iMessage. Other than those things, I'm really loving the Xperia. I haven't had an Android phone/device in over half a decade and it's been refreshing to get back into it. I've been known to swap back and forth a lot back when I didn't need access to certain iOS features, even just depending on how I was feeling that day, but it's become a bigger part of what I do as I've gotten older. I've also been enjoying using the Xperia as a media device and the iPhone as a communication device. It's sort of nice at the end of the day to put my iPhone down and not worry about work. I'm also just kind of a nerd at heart and really enjoy both devices for their pros and cons, haha.
@@mdnt_ It's actually pretty relatable. As a Mobile Developer, I have to develop for iOS. And I can inly do that with macOS and iPhone... So I can't get out of that. But at the same time, I love Android and Windows.
I think mine is a dud. I can't film for more than 50 seconds without the phone overheating and the 85mm-125mm focus is nearly nonexistent. Everything is just blury and muddy. The 16mm and 24mm are pin sharp though.
Im Sony user over 15 years now and I can say only that this is the worst phone they announced in last 10 years. There is 2 much problems with this phone. Using it almost a year now. Overheating is abnormal. Sun comes out, my phone turns in to microwave. That should not happen with phone which costed me 1400€. Its f****n shame. Cameras are good most of the times, but everything else just average.

The bokeh on that 85 mm lens looks so fantastic, it just doesn’t look like a phone footage at all
Next challenge is getting full frame bokeh from a phone..Give it 5 years I reckon it'll be here.
