Seeing Yelan and Xiao continue to work during the Lantren Rite,it feels kind of in their character. At the same time they are lonely, which is a bit sad, I hope that in future updates there will be an event where Yelan and Xiao will celebrate and have fun with others.

Its sad but I think that is the way that they are. And just because they're working doesn't mean they're not feeling the holiday atmosphere. I personally thought seeing them still working during the cutscene was the story showing that they're working even harder so everyone's holiday remain unspoiled. Kind of like the people who have to pull shifts over Christmas to keep things running while everyone else is at home. Plus (spoiler for the epilogue) at least Xiao got to attend Hu Tao's banquet...
It's good to see Xinyan being featured in more and more quests. I hope we get to see more of Amber too, she's one of the earliest characters that guided us into the world of Teyvat !

Every single time I watch any year of the lantern rite, or just simply listening to the music within them, I can't help but get myself teary-eyed. The lantern rite is just simply a beautiful and magnificent event with just the most incredible music.
Nah that one 2nd quest about Ei and the war that happened 500 hundred years ago in Inazuma got me hard. Those poor souls made made me sit and think about it for for a while. that quest was sad
This whole event was spectacular, emotional, cheerful, heartwarming and hella fun. YaoYao being the cutest, the emotional story of guizhong and Madame ping brought tears to my eyes, seeing all the liyue characters together enjoying the lantern rite festival was just so beautiful. I play Genshin Impact purely for its story, scenery, and music, and till now it has never disappointed me. I’m grateful to have lived in this era where so many wonderful games exist. Thank you Hoyoverse, Wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year !!!! Happy Latern Rite !!!!!
Seeing Ganyu as a main character in this quest was, in her own words, long overdue, because what we got was some really nice and desperately needed character development for her. I'm really glad that we as players are finally seeing our positive impact on her self confidence and her sense of belonging among the people of Liyue.

Her voicelines can already have her saying some insightful things as you can see how much she cherishes life. I've seen many comments talking on how boring she is and how she just a basic overworked waifu when she is having an identity crisis going on. This event felt like a part 2 in her story quest.

Their appearance is just so brief, not even a second so I suggest you do that.
It's just an inspiration to me, It make's me feel like I'm alive again. Honestly I've been feeling sadder these day's but when I heard this I started to feel happy again.
Idk why this year's cut scene was just so emotional for me I cried every time I watched it and can we just say the lantern rite theme is so sad yet joyous at the same time.
Honestly, hu tao’s rap wasn’t AWFUL, the rhymes got lost in translation and is 100% not the voice actors fault, but other then the not amazing rap from hu tao, xinyan’s voice actor KILLED IT! the rasp in her voice while singing was just perfect

I have an emotional attachment to Liyue. When the characters from Liyue are cheerful it cheers me up. The story of Guizhong (which I personally was very excited for) and this cutscene genshin never disappoint. This was such an amazing lantern rite seeing every character enjoy. It was truly a blessing lantern rite. The story that Liyue characters share is kinda very attached to my heart. I just don't know even words could not define this lantern rite and hoping for a good next one. Happy lantern rite everyone.
I genuinely love the lantern rite so much it’s one of the only times you can see all of travelers connections all coming together to celebrate a night of remembrance and joy where all the characters each have a moment to have peace and watch the fireworks. It brings back the memories of the year prior because of the immense joy or peace that was captured in that one special night that only happens once every year. The whole event always has a warm and comforting aroma because the themes are usually lighthearted and sweet (ex. setting up a music festival, helping a friend fit in or work less) the event may be about remembrance but I see it as a time of celebration where you can spend one whole night just being happy with no cares no worries and no problems. Each year a new cut scene comes out with a whole different story but it always ends the same, with fireworks. This is as if to show that it maybe a completely different plot with different “main characters” it’s still the same celebration in the end with the same message. No matter what everyone deserves a night to celebrate even if that’s just sitting down to watch the fireworks or catching up with an old friend. In the end each lantern rite is the same in a way.

Liyue has always been and still is my favourite region. I love all these characters so much. It just feels like home. Honestly, Liyue story quests never miss.
Liyue characters is also home to some of the most OP characters, even has a weapon that the passive is activated if a certain number of liyue char is in the party

This was my first Lantern Rite and everything was so beautiful... but the moment Dvorak started playing with more passion after hearing Madame Ping's song, I got some tears in my eyes especially because the past 2 years I had an absolute horrible New Year's Eve. This quest in the game, made me feel a little bit of that new year's "magic" even if it's just an illusion for a brief moment.. so thank you.
Dude, I just stop playing Genshin Impact for a while but after seeing this cutscene I wanna go back again. I literally teared up remembering how beautiful this game was. Seeing cloud retainer rekindle her competitive spirit for constructing amazing things was so sweet, especially after finding out that she used to get super competitive with Guizhong. I'd like to think talking about her old friend made her feel better!
The only thing i have to say is that hutao and xinyan's preformance felt too short so you couldn't get used to the singing before it was over. Happy lantern rite everyone.

seeing all my fav characters together just warms my heart
I genuinely love the lantern rite so much it’s one of the only times you can see all of travelers connections all coming together to celebrate a night of remembrance and joy where all the characters each have a moment to have peace and watch the fireworks. It brings back the memories of the year prior because of the immense joy or peace that was captured in that one special night that only happens once every year. The whole event always has a warm and comforting aroma because the themes are usually lighthearted and sweet (ex. setting up a music festival, helping a friend fit in or work less) the event may be about remembrance but I see it as a time of celebration where you can spend one whole night just being happy with no cares no worries and no problems. Each year a new cut scene comes out with a whole different story but it always ends the same, with fireworks. This is as if to show that it maybe a completely different plot with different “main characters” it’s still the same celebration in the end with the same message. No matter what everyone deserves a night to celebrate even if that’s just sitting down to watch the fireworks or catching up with an old friend. In the end each lantern rite is the same in a way.
I really appreciated the VA for Mr. Dvorak, I found his voice very pleasing to hear.
That would be Mr. Marco "Meatball"! Check out his TH-cam channel, he is actually a former pro opera singer and he has done a good few vids analyzing some of Genshin's music! And now his dream came true when he got cast for Dvorak and another NPC in Genshin!
Look up MarcoMeatball on TH-cam! He's the voice, and he is a former pro opera singer who now does music analysis videos for video game music (a lot of Genshin ones; he loves the music in it). He's wanted to voice act a Genshin character for a while now, and he finally got his chance with Dvorak and a Sumeru NPC.

Liyue has always been and still is my favourite region. I love all these characters so much. It just feels like home. Honestly, Liyue story quests never miss.
Liyue characters is also home to some of the most OP characters, even has a weapon that the passive is activated if a certain number of liyue char is in the party
Definitely because it’s based of Chinese culture where the developers are from I think they put a lot more love into it to make it really special

it's the time of the year again, lantern rite is coming this 4.4, time flies really fast. It's nostalgic. It's my 3rd lantern rite this year, to more years with y'all travelers!
This was my first Lantern Rite and everything was so beautiful... but the moment Dvorak started playing with more passion after hearing Madame Ping's song, I got some tears in my eyes especially because the past 2 years I had an absolute horrible New Year's Eve. This quest in the game, made me feel a little bit of that new year's "magic" even if it's just an illusion for a brief moment.. so thank you.

Dude, I just stop playing Genshin Impact for a while but after seeing this cutscene I wanna go back again. I literally teared up remembering how beautiful this game was. Yep, 4.4’s was much more impactful to me, but this one (apart from Hu Tao’s…something) is pretty good too.
The only thing i have to say is that hutao and xinyan's preformance felt too short so you couldn't get used to the singing before it was over.
